AJAX :: Using To POST A List Of Checkbox Values?

A webpage has a number of questions that a user must answer and each question can be answered using a list of checkboxes. Thus each set of checkboxes (each question) will have a seperate name. The webpage is dynamically generated and I dont know how many questions will be on there nor the amount of checkboxes each question will have.
I know how to obtain the checkbox values using a form and a conventional submit button however what I want to do is put a button below each question and use AJAX to submit the answers for each question therefore the whole page will not refresh once each question is submitted.
I assume I will have to create a string that contains the values of the checkboxes joined together with delimiters because it is not possible to POST and actual array? So how do I obtain the values of the checkboxes for each individual question using JavaScript?

assume that checkbox of id 1 is checked and retrieved from mysql table.<br /> Now what i want to do is that when i checked the remaing two checkbox into this table and a function is called to ajax which goes to php page and update the value of checked field according to the given id (i.e 2 and 3 in this case). I have an error when I POST to a page. Whatever monetary choice of donation that is made, the POST does not work to send the values to the next page and the default value of $20.00 is registered.

Upon reload, the values are serialized.. But when the page is done loading..the chosen values (checkbox) is not checked, I need it stay checked so I can add other values via checkbox to the url.

Instead of the Field being mentioned more than once, how can I have it where it could mention the field once with the values coma separated eg:[url]

I have this code which allows a user to check multiple checkboxes by clicking just one check box. However, when I post the form, I only get the value of one check box. Suppose, I don't check the 'select all' check box and want to check only 1 and 3 checkbox, I still get the value for only one check box.

I have a php page (target_market.php), with a form that has 34 checkboxes. I would like the be able to click the boxes and have JS post the 'checked' value to a php session varibale when a button is clicked. If the user navigates away from the page and returns, the pages needs to reload the checkbox session variables.
How do I post the 'checked' value as either YES or NO using JS to another page (target_session.php), so that i can add them to database at a later stage?, but also retrieve the session variables and update the check boxes should the user come back to the target_market.php page?

I have a table that has parts with multiple characteristics. Part Number, Height, Width, Capacity, Price, Etc. I would like to have a drop downs for all of these values, when a user selects one of these values it will filter the results into a list. Ex. user selects a part that has a Height of 6 and width of 10 it will only list those parts. As I said earlier, I have a script that will give me all the parts, however I am not able to make the onchange list parts with multiple values.

I have 3 ASP list boxes. I would like to populate the second list box based on the selection in the first list box and based on the selection in the second list box, populate the third. In part of my form, I have 3 inputs (one textarea and two text inputs),I am validating their value format using AJAX (each input triggers error message on its label in case format is wrong). Also I have one button, "NOT submit button" (type = button).Now, when clicking on the button it must enter the value of those three inputs in my database in case they are true then all inputs values must be cleared. In case AJAX validation is wrong and in case the user clicked on that button, the value of fields must kept as it is.
Actually I can not use submit button because I have it for the whole form and what I am taking about is a part of the form and it's not possible to make nested forms as I know it violates html rules. It's easy to make it if I am taking about submitting button as I can view session values on fields after submission in case ajax returns error.I can clear inputs from Javascript, but it will be cleared on both cases if AJAX validation true or wrong. Each input field has AJAX Error message that will be triggered when the input format is wrong.

I'm running into an interesting problem. I'm constructing a form that will allow a person to enter text into a textarea and then preview it. Currently, the person has to click preview, look at the text and then use the back button, which causes problems with losing changes/the entire block of text. So my next thought was to allow for a UI dialog box to pop up and to submit the form values via a .load call to my PHP script. This works really well, but I notice if I preview and close the window (either with the X or with escape) more than three times, I start getting a blank window.

The PHP side just echos the text right now, so nothing crazy going on there. I also find that unless I hide the preview div, after the second preview the div starts appearing in the page, as well as in the dialog box, so I'm not sure if that's standard or not.

I am having trouble finding a code example that uses javascript to get values from a form submitted on a previous page using the "POST" method. I've found some examples on how to parse the query string, but unfrotunately my form on the previous page has WAY too many charcters being submitted to be able to use the "GET" method (there is some upper limit here, I think it may be 255 or some number similar).
By the way this ONLY needs to work in IE, but it is better if it works in all browsers.

I am trying to do some JavaScript calculation with checkboxes, and have been able to modify some codes to do bits of what i want to do. (Screenshot attached) However, i want each checkbox to have multiple values, and therefore multiple results.
I can't find any examples, but i've come across something similar with Radio buttons [URL].. I don't 'get' the example enough to proceed. My question is, is it even possible to do with a checkbox, and if so how do i go about doing it please?

I am trying out checkbox total calculator code examples, which automatically calculates the values of checked/unchecked items, and so far so good. My question is if it's at all possible for each checkbox to have multiple values, so i can have different sets of totals? I have been looking for examples all over with no luck. I have seen examples for Radio buttons, which separates the different totals with commas, but i don't have enough JavaScript experience to understand it fully.
