Anyone have any code examples or tutorials on how to implement POST's on the pages that each of the jQuery's Ajaxified tabs loads? Mainly looking for examples of the tab content pages post'ing/get'ing params.
here's an example of the stand-alone page that functions normally:[URL]...(select Oct. 8th, 2009 to see example or POST in action)
but when popped into an Ajax jQuery tab, the POST doesnt work[URL]...As you can see, on the second example, when the page POST's, it's no longer running in the tab. How do i get it to just refresh/POST within the tab?

Currently transitioning from a shared host to a dedicated server. The
same code that works on the old server is not working on the dedicated
server. It is a simple AJAX request like:

With the code as is above, the requests works fine in IE. With Firefox
it throws a 403 on the page. A call to the response.php page with
parameters runs correctly outside of AJAX. Changing all POST requests
to GET resolves the issue, but I would prefer not to have to change
ALL POST requests to GET requests.
Does anyone know of a setting on the new server that can cause FireFox
(1.5.x and 2.0.x) to return a 403 with an AJAX post call?
I have two websites. One is my mediaWiki, and one is my production site.I would like to use the mediaWiki APIand $.post() to login to the wiki and retrieve pages from the Wiki.

$.post, it calls a php file which retrieves data from my database and should return a JSON datatype result. I checked on firebug, and it does successfully retrieve the data in JSON format. I however cannot get it to display on screen. I want to populate input fields with the result accordingly.

I tried putting alert inside my function, and it also doesn't show. I'm thinking it doesn't go inside the function at all.
I have a form in which I preset some text inside a readonly, disabled textarea using javascript ('data' being the text):

I have been a mainframe programmer for over 20 years - I have a new project that requires browser pages written in JavaScript. I currently begin with a HTML page that assigns the values retrieved from a third party vendor's API to an array. I pass this array to another page to build a table full of links - when a client clicks on one of the links, two variables are put into yet another array and a third page is called, successfully passing the required data. Ultimately page 1 and page 3 will be .asp pages so that additional third party vendor API's can be called. The problem is this: after the third page is called from the second page, it displays for a second and then returns to the second page. When I click back I can see the third page, followed by the second page, and finally the first page. My question is this: why is the third page not displaying in the browser? I'm sorry if I have not posted this correctly as I really am a mainframe programmer and this is my first time doing anything code related with web pages

I am having a strange problem with a javascript function that does not return the value but returns the code inside the function. My best guess is that I am incorrectly calling the function hasLandedOn()and jquery is interpeting it. Why is this happening? I am trying to make a gui for clients to edit a php page that displays html and javascript.
I want the user to be able to move html elements around and even edit it like add effects like fade in and out etc.
Then after all the changes I want to overwrite the existing php file that does this for that user. how can you make such changes and then save it to a file?
It's an html / javascript editor but using a gui instead of allowing them to directly touch the code. It would be a security risk if I allow such a thing. So I need to program a interface that would make such changes and save them to file.
Like how can you delete and add new javascript code to the file?
