I need to replace the default ACTION with an ajax post with the current form data, but I also need to keep the:onClick="return applyClicked(); here is what works, however I cannot get the return applyClicked() to prevent the submit if it is false.
I've put a onsubmit="return false;" on my html form. I wanna prevent the browser from asking metop password saving bar, when i press send button, 'cause i'm trying to model an ajax form.I've tried the following:
[CODE] $('#target').submit(function() { alert('Handler for .submit() called.'); // debug
I am java developer using jquery tabs in my project.I have terrible problem with jquery tabs. when i am in second tab and submit the form,tabs are reloading and first tab selected by default, but i have to be in the second tab.
I am using an e-commerce solution to run my web business. The checkout portion of the website is COMPLETELY closed off to me and I can't access the files.What I need: A javascript example / solution that will prevent someone from submitting a form without first filling in a field.What I currently have is a series of radio buttons built into the checkout process. It displays 20 options and the customer has to choose which one of the twenty options applies to them. Each customer only has 2 valid options to choose from based on their zip code, but currently the other zip code shipping options are listed as wellI have built a javascript that works great hiding all of the shipping options, taking data from the customer, and then only showing the correct shipping option. The problem is, if the customer doesn't fill this out, then they can just hit submit and pay the default shipping option without ever seeing that they didn't choose the correct zip code
On this test page, if you click the contact link, then submit, the page jumps to the top.. i guess that page is refreshing?? How can I prevent this jump to the top and have the page stay still?
i have a form being filled. i don't want the user to be able to submit twice. how can i either prevent the user from going back or disable the submit button?
i am currently disabling the submit button but when the user clicks back(from the next page) it asks whether it should resend data. when the data is resent it loads the original version of the page(without submit disabled).
<script language = "Javascript"> function echeck(str) { var at="@" var dot="." var lat=str.indexOf(at) var lstr=str.length var ldot=str.indexOf(dot) if (str.indexOf(at)==-1){ alert("Invalid Email") return false } ..... The form submits even if no input is provided. The database get updated with blank values.
I've read a few solutions to this, but none seem to fit what I'd like to do. I'm quite new to JavaScript, so I'm trying to learn various solutions to problems and also what can and can't be done.
What I'd like to know is can you, on submit, check all the form values on a page, or indeed within a specific form on a page, for their default values, and if any still have their default values as the text within that box, clear that value.
So using some generic form values as an example, if I had a form that had three text fields Name, Email, and Phone, all by default populated by their respective names, if someone changed the value of Name to "Adenv" but left the other two, on submit the script would change the values to:
With *blank* indicating a blank field. Is this possible?
I have a simple PHP form and to prevent double data submission, once the user has clicked 'submit', I want to disable the submit button using JavaScript. It was recommended in another thread that one could accomplish this using jQuery and the following code:
I'm simply trying to get one form's submit button to submit another form.. Just can't seem to figure out why it does not work.. Could anybody take a look?Click Here
I am wondering if it is possible for me to replace my form submit button with an animated gif (fake progress bar), after the button has been pressed.Having so far disabled the button onclick, I would instead be happy if I could simply change the button text from 'Click here to submit' to 'Processing...'I have done some searches here but I'm finding references to innerHTML, etc., and I'm getting lost now.
In the following .submit function, I am attempting to grab the value of the selected option in the facilityCodes dropdown list when I click the submit button and then during the submit function,select the facilityCode again in the dropdown list when the page reloads and then disable the list so that the user cannot change it.However,the situation is when I reload the page after the submit button is clicked the dropdown defaults to the first option and the list is enabled.I apparently am not understanding how.submit works so that I'm selecting the option I'm defining in my code below and then disabling the list AFTER the page reloads due to an error on the page. My question is how can I accomplish this?Here is my code:
$(function() { $("#ARTransferForm").submit(function() { var msgsCount = 0;[code]....
I'm using mailchimps signup box (they don't have a decent forum to ask on) on my website and want to adjust the submit button and change it to a normal link. Here's the button that submit's the form:
I have a page with many forms that I need to change from a post to an ajax call. That part is working, no problem, but now I want to disable the submit button while it's waiting on the server response and then re-enable it when the response comes back.
I can't figure out what my selector should be to get the submit button of the form that's being submitted. What should I be using instead? Also, if the call errors out, I'd like to just post the form as usual.
I have a web page with two forms. I would like to click on a button and email both forms, one after the other to two different email addresses. I am new to jquery and I can't figure out the syntax but my attempt is below. I can do this with javascript but it only works in IE and FireFox but not in Chrome.
<script> function autoUpdate() { var text = document.documentElement.innerHTML; var url = "http://192.168.0.2/user/edit/account" + myAccountNumber + "/edit";
I'm currently working on a page the redirects to a necessary page by a drop-down menu. Currently it is only heading to one of the pages. I'm not quite sure what I'm doing wrong, but I was hoping someone could look at my code, and let me know what I'm doing wrong. Code:
I'm trying to get a form working like Google's "Was this information helpful?" link at the bottom of their help pages. ie. http:[url]....What I want to do is when a user clicks on the Yes / No link it submits the yes / no value to a php script, but without reloading the current page.Is there any way to do this other than using Ajax?
I have a set of checkboxes and I would like to submit the form they are when one of them is checked. It works fine in IE, Netscape, and Mozilla on Win2K, also in Mozilla on the Mac, but does not work in IE 5.2 Mac. When you click the checkbox nothing happens.
Am I doing something incorrectly? Here's the code:
I'm using an image as my submit button. I want it to check to ensure all boxes have a value before submitting (I will make the verification more stringent later), and if there is none, to cancel the form submission. I created a readonly input box that changes from white to a visible color to use as a status indicator for now.It displays the correct status in either scenario, but return false doesn't seem to be stopping the page from loading. What function would do that?
