I am java developer using jquery tabs in my project.I have terrible problem with jquery tabs. when i am in second tab and submit the form,tabs are reloading and first tab selected by default, but i have to be in the second tab.
View 1 RepliesIn the following .submit function, I am attempting to grab the value of the selected option in the facilityCodes dropdown list when I click the submit button and then during the submit function,select the facilityCode again in the dropdown list when the page reloads and then disable the list so that the user cannot change it.However,the situation is when I reload the page after the submit button is clicked the dropdown defaults to the first option and the list is enabled.I apparently am not understanding how.submit works so that I'm selecting the option I'm defining in my code below and then disabling the list AFTER the page reloads due to an error on the page. i am trying to build my form to submit without reloading the screen. I am using jquery and it inserts the data but it also reloads the screen and two database records get inserted. It appears that one is being inserted by jquery and the other is being inserted by the normal form submission. How do I remove/override the normal form submission? My html code is as follows:

The elements within .setDefault will return to its default font/color/height/width etc... so basically all posible values.

I've read a few solutions to this, but none seem to fit what I'd like to do. I'm quite new to JavaScript, so I'm trying to learn various solutions to problems and also what can and can't be done.
What I'd like to know is can you, on submit, check all the form values on a page, or indeed within a specific form on a page, for their default values, and if any still have their default values as the text within that box, clear that value.
So using some generic form values as an example, if I had a form that had three text fields Name, Email, and Phone, all by default populated by their respective names, if someone changed the value of Name to "Adenv" but left the other two, on submit the script would change the values to:
With *blank* indicating a blank field. Is this possible?

I have a DOM loaded from a remote site, i cannot alter that page. The DOM has a input:submit in the form that looks something like this:

So clicking tab 1 loads the contents of the first DIV, tab 2 second DIV, etc. I have a different image map that loads into each of the separate DIVs. I have set up a search box that allows me to enter a value that matches an ALT value of one of the <area> tags and then using the scrollTo library, scrolls to that value using the coordinates provided in the <area> tag. Currently I have this working when I manually enter the DIV's class into the script:

When radio button "Owner_Regular_driver_the_same" = "yes" (select by default) then "Regular_driver_name" and "Regular_driver_ID_nr" must be disabled as per code in the script but after the page have been load the "Regular_driver_name" and "Regular_driver_ID_nr" is not disabled.
When click on "yes" radio button "Owner_Regular_driver_the_same" which is selected by default then the "Regular_driver_name" and "Regular_driver_ID_nr" fields are diabled.

I can't figure out what my selector should be to get the submit button of the form that's being submitted. What should I be using instead? Also, if the call errors out, I'd like to just post the form as usual.

I really don't know if this is correct but it works! What doesn't work is the active class. If you use one of the buttons in the first tab you go to the right tab but the tab itself has no class called active and that ruins the style.

I also have one other question: lets say that all the above is my second page and I have my frontpage in which I also have buttons. I want somebody to use the button and end up in the third tab of page 2. My link is something like
