JQuery :: When In Second Tab And Submit The Form - Tabs Are Reloading And First Tab Selected By Default
Nov 27, 2010
I am java developer using jquery tabs in my project.I have terrible problem with jquery tabs. when i am in second tab and submit the form,tabs are reloading and first tab selected by default, but i have to be in the second tab.
In the following .submit function, I am attempting to grab the value of the selected option in the facilityCodes dropdown list when I click the submit button and then during the submit function,select the facilityCode again in the dropdown list when the page reloads and then disable the list so that the user cannot change it.However,the situation is when I reload the page after the submit button is clicked the dropdown defaults to the first option and the list is enabled.I apparently am not understanding how.submit works so that I'm selecting the option I'm defining in my code below and then disabling the list AFTER the page reloads due to an error on the page. My question is how can I accomplish this?Here is my code:
$(function() { $("#ARTransferForm").submit(function() { var msgsCount = 0;[code]....
i am trying to build my form to submit without reloading the screen. I am using jquery and it inserts the data but it also reloads the screen and two database records get inserted. It appears that one is being inserted by jquery and the other is being inserted by the normal form submission. How do I remove/override the normal form submission? My html code is as follows:
I am looking for a way to put all CSS values on my selected elements back to its default. I was wondering if anyone has maybe done this before and if not has any idea's to get me started.
The idea is that when I use for example:
The elements within .setDefault will return to its default font/color/height/width etc... so basically all posible values.
I've read a few solutions to this, but none seem to fit what I'd like to do. I'm quite new to JavaScript, so I'm trying to learn various solutions to problems and also what can and can't be done.
What I'd like to know is can you, on submit, check all the form values on a page, or indeed within a specific form on a page, for their default values, and if any still have their default values as the text within that box, clear that value.
So using some generic form values as an example, if I had a form that had three text fields Name, Email, and Phone, all by default populated by their respective names, if someone changed the value of Name to "Adenv" but left the other two, on submit the script would change the values to:
With *blank* indicating a blank field. Is this possible?
This is my form, When user click the <b>YES and checked the check </b>box then only I want to enable the Prepay by Card button. For this situation, what is the jquery snippet. I have tried somthing like: $("#SubmitCard").attr("disabled", "disabled");
But the thing is, I want to put the and Condition match. For this situation, I don't know how to write the jquery snippet <table style="border: 0px solid rgb(0, 0, 0); width: 485px; height: 45px;"><tbody> <tr style="width: 20px; height: 5px;"> <td width="78">Pay by Card </td> <td width="78"><b><span style="cursor: pointer;" id="yes">Yes</span></b></td> <td style="cursor: pointer;" width="315"><span id="no" style="cursor: pointer;">No</span></td> </tr> .....
I need to replace the default ACTION with an ajax post with the current form data, but I also need to keep the:onClick="return applyClicked(); here is what works, however I cannot get the return applyClicked() to prevent the submit if it is false.
I have a form that I perform some AJAX business on when it is submitted. However, I wanted to have an if...else statement but when I add it it allows the page to refresh upon submit. For example.
I have 6 tabs. Each one of them contain many elements with class 'column' I'd like to know, when a tab is selected, how many such elements in that selected tab. no matter how I tried, it gives me the right count on the first one selected and start incrementing them for all subsequent selected. $('#columns > .column').length;
I'm trying to get a form working like Google's "Was this information helpful?" link at the bottom of their help pages. ie. http:[url]....What I want to do is when a user clicks on the Yes / No link it submits the yes / no value to a php script, but without reloading the current page.Is there any way to do this other than using Ajax?
I'm using this jQuery tabs library that uses this simple set up... <!-- the tabs --> <ul class="tabs"> <li><a href="#">Tab 1</a></li> <li><a href="#">Tab 2</a></li> <li><a href="#">Tab 3</a></li> </ul> <!-- tab "panes" --> <div class="panes"> <div>pane 1 content</div> <div>pane 2 content</div> <div>pane 3 content</div> </div>
So clicking tab 1 loads the contents of the first DIV, tab 2 second DIV, etc. I have a different image map that loads into each of the separate DIVs. I have set up a search box that allows me to enter a value that matches an ALT value of one of the <area> tags and then using the scrollTo library, scrolls to that value using the coordinates provided in the <area> tag. Currently I have this working when I manually enter the DIV's class into the script:
var id = $('#search').val(); var elem = document.getElementById(id); if (elem) { var parts = $(elem).attr('coords').split(','); parts = $.map(parts, parseInt); $('div.fms1').scrollTo({ left:parts[0], top:parts[2] }, {duration:1000, axis:'x'}); }}); </script>
I'm trying to figure out how I can set up the search box to search the currently loaded DIV which is loaded depending on which tab is selected. I tried the following unsuccessfully: $('div.'+$(this)).scrollTo({ left:parts[0], top:parts[2] }, {duration:1000, axis:'x'});
I've been searching everywhere for an answer, tried everything I know and for the life of me I cannot seem to be able to submit a form inside a jQuery UI tab. I have a bunch of files that are loaded with AJAX inside the tabs and I would really need to pass form data in them ...
I've put a onsubmit="return false;" on my html form. I wanna prevent the browser from asking metop password saving bar, when i press send button, 'cause i'm trying to model an ajax form.I've tried the following:
[CODE] $('#target').submit(function() { alert('Handler for .submit() called.'); // debug
This is my form, i would like to default the select box to USA, and default the text field to a name such as 'Sarah' and the hidden field to another number like ??', when the user clicks on the check box, otherwise the fields should be blank, the value of the select box dosnt matter much, only that it defaults to USA, when the user checks it.
When radio button "Owner_Regular_driver_the_same" = "yes" (select by default) then "Regular_driver_name" and "Regular_driver_ID_nr" must be disabled as per code in the script but after the page have been load the "Regular_driver_name" and "Regular_driver_ID_nr" is not disabled.
When click on "yes" radio button "Owner_Regular_driver_the_same" which is selected by default then the "Regular_driver_name" and "Regular_driver_ID_nr" fields are diabled.
Can someone tell me the code to display dropdown box showing a default value as selected which can vary as per the users condition using script..i,e by enclosing in document.write.. Now i need to print a for loop counter variable's value as the default selected option if a condition satisfies as shown below..code...
what can be the reasons for the same code which works perfectly in notepad to not show its result in a jsp application done using eclipse??anything to do with settings?
I am not able to display the current date as default in dd/mm/yyyy format in drop down menu..only dd and yyyy apears but month isnt apearing as default..
can u suggest alternative logic and its code to implement the same??
I'm using mailchimps signup box (they don't have a decent forum to ask on) on my website and want to adjust the submit button and change it to a normal link. Here's the button that submit's the form:
like for example i have text areas named upload1 and upload2when I click or add input on upload1 a drop down list below upload2 will not change, but when I add input on upload2 the dropdown will select "parts"
I have a page with many forms that I need to change from a post to an ajax call. That part is working, no problem, but now I want to disable the submit button while it's waiting on the server response and then re-enable it when the response comes back.
I can't figure out what my selector should be to get the submit button of the form that's being submitted. What should I be using instead? Also, if the call errors out, I'd like to just post the form as usual.
I'm having issues with jquery and the tabs I'm using. My tabs work but... I want some more functions and that seems to be a big problem for a Javascript and jquery newby.
I really don't know if this is correct but it works! What doesn't work is the active class. If you use one of the buttons in the first tab you go to the right tab but the tab itself has no class called active and that ruins the style.
2) I also have one other question: lets say that all the above is my second page and I have my frontpage in which I also have buttons. I want somebody to use the button and end up in the third tab of page 2. My link is something like
Code: page2.html#tab3
I read that using this should lead you the third tab but it's not working for me. You go to the first tab of page 2 instead.
I've been reading a LOT! Jquery for dummies, I googled, read the forum and other forums. I posted on a Dutch forum but no answer. I've added a lot of different code but it doesn't work.
I have nested tabs in jquery tabs which are pretty simple to do if we want static jquery tabsbut what if we want nested tabs that the remote page should decide what would be the tabs.or in other words i want nested tabs in a remote page (or ajaxified) For example i m calling this page(remote page) through tabs
