JQuery :: Dropdown Menu Selection Dynamically Alters Selects Of Other Dropdown Menus On Same Page?

I have a project where I need a selection of one dropdown menu may affect the select of multiple other dropdown menus on the same page.First, a table is generated, and within each row, it contains a dropdown menu. Assume: Rows A, B, C, etc..., and Dropdown selection: 1, 2, & 3If dropdown in Row A selects 2, then I want the selection of dropdowns in rows B & C to dynamically change to 2.And if in Row C user selects 3, then the selection in dropdowns in rows A & B should dynamically change to 3.
I'm currently using h5validate with my forms but recently setup a few where a second form is generated based on what a user selects from a dropdown menu (via AJAX). Since the new form ID's were not existing when the document was loaded jQuery does not bind h5validate to the new form. I found a plugin called livequery that will bind new elements on the fly. Unfortunately, I'm pretty new to jQuery and can't quite figure out how to make this work with h5.
My current h5 function looks like this, where formID is the ID of the from that does not exist but is later loaded in via AJAX.
i am building a website form which I would like the user to select a product of interest. Some products are three tiered and some are two tiered.

If the user wants to submit their interest for one of the products, I need to have at most 3 dropdown menus. So in Example 1, I would have 3 dropdowns in my form. Dropdown 1: Scooters Dropdown 2: Three Wheel Scooters Dropdown 3: Delux 503S Bird Scooter.In Example 2, I would only need to use the first 2 dropdown menus. (Obviously the first dropdown would contain 'Scooters' and 'Standing Bikes' in the menu list)I would like to alter the code so that the second and third dropdowns are hidden until a selection from the first drop down is made. Once for example, 'Standing Bikes' is selected from the first dropdown menu, the second dropdown menu appears and the third remains hidden due to the fact that it is not required. If I selected Scooters from the first dropdown menu, the second dropdown would appear listing all items associated with this and at this point the third dropdown menu is hidden. If i select 'Three Wheel Scooter' from the second dropdown the third dropdown menu now appears listing all Three wheel Scooters such as 'Delux 503S Bird Scooter'.
ok i don't know where to start my search cause i don't have to right terms.what i would like to do is have to menus and have the second be changed dynamically. ex:in the first dropdown if the user selects a category, the subcategory will populate with sub categories of that category.
I have been working on a dropdown menu using Clarklab's Tutorial:The only problem is that this tutorial only shows how to create one dropdown instance.It's in use here:My issue is that when I click on one menu item, all the submenus open up. Is there a simple fix that I just haven't figured out yet?My instinct is to give each ul it's own id, but I'm not sure how to direct the jquery in the header to work with individual elements.
I am creating a website for a friend where the user cant can choose what jobs they want to do while a event. There a are more than 300 people involved so I found a script that worked fine but it used some checkboxes, and I want to use drop down menu (one drop down menu for every day of the event). With the checkboxes it worked fine but when I modify the part to insert the dropdown menu and that on my webpage I choose a job and then I send it and it tells me that I haven't selected anything.

I have a Javascript function that allows the display of a textbox upon selecting an option from a dropdown menu. In my case when a user selects listbox as the option, the text box appears. I want the same thing to happen when another option (checkbox) is selected. when I repeat the JAVAscript code, the first textbox(listbox's textbox) appears irrespective of which option(listbox, checkbox) I select. I don't want to show a table with ALL the contact details on. I want to offer a dropdown menu or similar with the countries inside it, and then dependent on the country selected, the relevant contact information would be displayed in a text box alongside. Basically i am doing a form which allows the user to input the office branches for this company. The user can input up to a maxi of 10 branches' details like location and tel.
I would want a dropdown menu which allows the user to select 1 to 10 offices and with that the immediate appearance of the number of branches after the user has made the selection.
Another possible way is a link which allows the user to add another branch and keeps adding till a maximum of 10.
I have a simple form - I want to disable the text field if Choice 2 from the dropdown menu is selected. I have this working with the code below, but for some reason if I go back and select choice 1 after selecting choice 2 the text field remains disabled. I only want it to be disabled if choice 2 is selected.

When I start typing a number I get a list of matching numbers and I'm able to select one of them with the mouse click. the first problem is that my menu must be named "id[2]2" which causes a problem due to the bracketed 2 and the 2 after. Is there any way around that?the second problem I forsee is that this will only work with 1 drop down box being unselected. I have two drop-down prompt controls with month names. One has just one value (say "July") and the other has all the months of the year ("January".."December"). The first prompt control is hidden on the page. How do I set the default selection of the second prompt control to the value present in the first prompt control? We are developing a web page that shows large graphics. To provide more screen space for the graphics, we allow the user to popup a window that places itself over the top part of the browser. This popup contains a control panel that tells the main window what to display.
Because we don't want to require that the user continually ALT-TAB to go between the main window and the popup (all user controls are on the popup) in the control panel popup, we have the following:
in the function called by onLoad in the popup, the following line is executed:

later in the .js file we have:

The problem is that when the user tries to use a dropdown select control the list drops down and immediately rolls back up, making it inoperable. This doesn't happen in the Netscape/Mozilla family or browsers. Nor does IE report an error.
I'm trying to achieve a notification feature which you see on facebook, myspace and so on. Here the trick that I use:I've pulled a number of data that a user has not been read (where active ='0') from a database to display on a notification icon on the menubar -- the exact notification icon you will see on facebook and myspace -- says 2 unread messages in bright red.As the user click on the notification button to open up a dropdown menu and read their unread messages I process the script and update the active = '0' to active = '1' and refresh the page.The problem is when the page is refreshed, the dropdown menu and the notification both disappeared.How do I remove only that number in red and keep the dropdown menu open, I know that both facebook and myspace didn't even refresh a page.In this case, I don't even know whether I use javascript or ajax. I've stolen (borrowed) the feature from twitter.
Browsers these days ... or is it just me? If you have a <SELECT> field with the multiple attribute can you only get multiple selections by holding down CTRL?
I found a "workaround" JavaScript but it's very buggy. Before I even look into the subject of creating my own one, has anyone dealt with this before?
[URL] If you visit that page, it has 2 drop down menus embedded in each other. One is under the name "destination weddings" and within that, there is one named "Historic Wessex Packages". It runs on a JS script (which I am currently modifying) called slide.js. The problem is that if you go to one of the other pages (like Contact Us) then slide down the destination one, then the historic one, it doesn't cope with the dynamically changing height and fails.
