My question is that im trying to have two different color of text, i want to put "your user name:> in RED and word of domain-name in brown, so far i put style code for domain name but how can i put for "your user name" different color in css code!
I want to make the date at the top right darker blue. But when I do that, all the light blue text next to the pictures also changes.
How can I control the color of the result of document.write output without changing the forground color of the entire page? Note my document write includes variables, so I was hesitant to imbed an html command in the document.write.

i want to write a script through which the color of some text changes whenever a mouse is passed over it. the text is basically a heading. this part comes in the script in the <head>

as you can see, the default color should be white, and whenever the mouse passes over it, it should turn red. however, it is not doing so, the text remains white when the mouse passes over it.
Is there code to just underline linked text to a certain color (red) but doesn't change the text color (it was white & when hovered over, it still stays white with a red underline)?

I am trying to write a php script to differentiate a real human visitor from a bot.
One idea I read about and what to use is having PHP print a page containing a invisible hyperlink to it's self.
This should make the links color purple or whatever a:visited color is set.
A bot does not render links, thus will not see color change. Therefore, if the links color changed we can be certain it is a real human and not a bot.
Is there a way to use javascript to get a link's color?

1. I would like to know how i would code a javascript so if i edit the text inside of either a certain div or in the javascript document itself (which ever would work, would like to have it take the text from a div but not too picky) and then have it write that text in other parts of the same page and other pages by like putting a javascript code in it's place or however you would do it. Basically if i write "hello world" in the div/javascript document, it will write "hell world" in multiple places just from me editing that one part. ok so help with this would be awsome.

I'd like to be able to right-click the text of an article and choose "Send to Phone Queue." When I've got a few articles in the queue, I'd like to be able to bluetooth the file to my phone. I know some HMTL and CSS, but I'm very much a novice when it comes to JavaScript. I'm thinking that I probably can't even do a lot of this with JS because of it's limitations (i.e. writing to a file). Will I need to use PHP or Java for writing/bluetoothing the file? So I'm trying to change the background color of a textbox depending on how many characters are enter (putting it green/red depending on count), and I'm having a hell of a time. There are 50 different textbox IDs on the page (give or take, dynamically generated), each unique/sequentially numbered (id1, id2 ... id50).Now I'm not that good with Javascript, but this is what I can up with so far.I was trying to use 'this.id' so I wouldn't have to name each of the IDs.

I want to change the color of a each word in a block of text. For example I want each word in a sentence to change to a different color automatically.
I was thinking that is if it was possible to move the color tags around each word and put a time delay between each time it moves but how I will accomplish these two actions.
I am working on a multiplication table and it is suppose to allow you to enter a value, and then if the value is correct, the text color will turn green, if it is incorrect the value will turn red, it isn't doing anything, I am not that good in programming with Javascript, so I think it's probably something with my code, all the elements are named properly the are all input fields.
