Problem is that it doesn't seem to want to generate the list. I think the variables are within the scope of the function too, and I didn't get an errors from the javascript console when using firebug. Jan 8, 2012how to copy an input field to an input field using a check box, what I want to do is copy data from an ID that has been populated with data using ajax and then select which data I want to copy depending on the drop down option selected. I can get the drop down box to alert the same data back that I want to copy but I can't display that data inside the input field.
step by step:
1. search for data with ajax and populate ID with data
2. use drop down box to select data to copy and copy it to input field

Jul 29, 2009Years ago I used to have a Javscript Dropdown Menu. When an option was selected whatever was in the Value="text here" would be displayed in either a <input> or <textarea>. I have looked all over and can't locate such a script. This type of setup is great for FAQs in chats and in forums.

What I want to know is that how is it suppose to be coded so that the user can only select the same amount of buttons as the number from the drop down menu? For example if the user selects the number 3 from the dropdown menu, then if the user clicks on a button, it will highlight the button in a color (lets say green) but the user can only have three buttons selected. If an additional button is clicked then that button would not be selected.
The additional button can only be selected if the user unselects a selected button and then selects the button he wishes. This means that only 3 buttons can be selected at maximum. Also only 3 buttons minimum can be selected, if more or less buttons are selected than the number 3 then it should come up with an alert. Is this suppose to be done in Javascript or Jquery and how can I use css to change the color of the buttons to green if selected or back to grey if unselected?

Jan 30, 2009Basically, I have written an application that runs a report based on a certain amount of parameters, one of which being date. So, the date selection is a <select></select> dropdown menu and it has the usual in it, today, yesterday, this week, last week etc. The problem is I need it to have a 'Custom' selection to run reports for custom dates. When 'Custom' is selected in the dropdown menu, two text boxes appear underneath with YYYY-MM-DD watermarked in them. I have assembled enough code from around the web to get this to work and it works fine, the problem I have is that when the user clicks off the 'Custom' option and on to a different one, I need the textboxes to disappear again.

Feb 15, 2011I'm having a problem with Superfish on my locahost site. I'm at a loss as to what the problem might be located, what is the solution so...I'm hoping someone here might know how to fix this.
I was looking for a way to reduce the number of SF modules on my Joomla 1.5 site by modifying my module tag to look like this: <jdoc:include type="modules" name="sf-menu" style="html"?php echo $pageclass ? $pageclass : 'default'; ?>" > That last part works well in template div tags but now I know its deadly if included in a module positon.
When I looked into view source, it was blank. I've clawed back somewhat but the menu ul still does not show up in view source. Since then I've deleted SF modules, re-installed a backup version of Joomla and put in a new SF module. The site looks OK except no menu appears, nothing in view source that isn't already in Index.php. Also my backup did not load articles, they were all "undefined" which is a minor hassle since I have these in utf-8 text files.
Is this a js or php issue? do I need a Joomla re-install or a full Joomla / server re-install? I really don't know.

Basically, I have a select menu 'Customer' which triggers a 3 JS functions, to populate 2 extra select menus.
Using IE Developer Tools, during debugging, I get this error: Expected ';' Error
This relates to either: eval(ajax_CustContact[index].response); OR eval(ajax_CostCentreContact[index].response); (it's a bit random, as sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't)
I have tried changing the 'custid' to 'custname' to check whether it was an integer causing the problem, but had the same problem.
