Possible To Capture Contents Of Iframe As Image Or Convert It Into A PDF File?

Not sure how stupid this requirement is, but I have a scenario, where I am rendering reports via iframe by providing a URLI am rendering reports through iframe by providing the application URL. Now the requirement is to generate a PDF file out of the iframe. I have to create a pdf file from the iframe src. I have no control over the application that is generating report in jsp.Is it possible to capture contents of iframe as image or convert it into a PDF file?

How can I use Javascript to access an external website (a href...) and capture the contents of a particular HTML tag. I thought ".innnerHTML" might do it but I've tried several configurations and can't seem to figure out how. I'm not even sure that it's possible.

I used jQuery because is a very powerful tool, but I'm currently stuck with the iframes.The problem is simple, I try to capture the value of a class, or to create an event that is in an iframe.

Is there a way to resize an iframe dynamically so that you never get the scroll bar and essentially hide that there is an iframe? Better integration really.Basically I want to iframe a forum into my site so that the design down the sides and top which my friend does using iweb are not messed with.We have a central area which can be longer or shorter depending on the forum.

I have an iframe in my main html and within iframe, I'm loading another HTML webpage. In my main html page, I've captured the mouse click event, by setting the "onclick" for <bodyof main page.
The code is like this:
<body onclick="handleClickEvent(event)">
....
<iframe src="embedded.html">
</iframe>
....
</body>
My problem is that the event handler is not getting called when I do mouse clicks inside "iframe".
Is there any way to capture the mouse click event inside iframe?

I'd like to execute some code when a user clicks inside an iframe (content on same domain). The following call works so far:
$("#iframeID").contents().find("body").doSomeStuff();
When the user clicks on a link within that frame, the frame posts back (2. site is being displayed)....from this time on the above mentioned call does not work anymore. The code is located outside, so it should not touch anything. The strange thing is, that it works for the first site, but not for sub sites?The structure looks like the following:

I have a javascript/MSHTML editor loaded in an IFrame call "msEditor1". It gets composed after the document loads through document.write commands from a JS function. I'm trying to set the editor so whenever a key is typed I capture the key event from the editor and then go from there.

I have a web server built in to our Student Data system. I want to put a teacher survey form out there but can't modify the DB and have no cgi ... darn proprietary web server.
Can I use JS to save form values to a separate text file? So far the best I can do is appendData() into the current html.

We're creating a file sharing area in our intranet. When a user clicks
on a link they can save the file to their computer. When the file is
done downloading and the 'File Download' dialog closes I want to update
the database to flag that file as checked out. Because we don't want
anyone else to download it until the file has been re-uploaded.
Does anyone know how I can know when the dialog closes? It would also
be good to know if the user clicked Cancel instead of Save.

how I can get this lookup to work..:?I'm using a app that uploads an image and returns a hex code in a 3x3 grid. (See here: http://jrm.cc/color-palette-generator) I want to take this one stage further and have a code that will then take the Hex code and look up a field in an sql database containing hex codes. Then convert the hex code into an image containing the selected colour. For example;
User uploads image of the sky
App returns hex codes of sky
App then needs to look in a field database of images on server and finds image/s with similar hex value
App then returns images in replace of the hex code (i.e blue water, swimming pool, blue coloured hat etc etc)

What I want is to copy this information. How is this done?
What I have (and doesn't work) is:

And I have the CGI take a guess at the size of the content when it generates it. Then I have a call to resizeIframe() with the guessed height in it. This seems to work, but I'm not confident that the guess at the new height is correct. So the other question is: how can I get the correct size of the content of the iframe so I can pass it to the parent function?

I have an intranet page which has an iframe which links to a number of
different possible .NET pages.
In one of the embedded .NET pages (and soon to be others) we want to be
able to capture keystrokes in order to link to other apps. we do this
by setting document.onkeydown to a function which handles the various
possibilities.
The problem I have is that when the intranet page loads with my .NET
page in its iframe, focus is not given to the .NET page, and so in
order for the page to capture keystrokes you have to click on the
contents of the iframe, which is both clunky and (it seems to me)
unnecessary.
How do I automatically give focus to the contents of the iframe when it
loads up? I've tried putting the following script at the bottom of the
intranet page itself, but this doesn't seem to work:

Is there anyway to access an iframe's contents via a selector? Something like this:
$("iframe::contents .my-foo")
I'm constantly accessing an iframe's contents for a project I'm currently working on and $("iframe").contents().find(".my-foo") is becoming a bit tedious to type out.
If this feature doesn't exist in jquery out of the box, is there a plugin that provides this functionality? If not how could I write such a plugin?

I am trying to manipulate the contents of an iframe. I have always had success with this in the past but I am stumped this time. The following code works in FF3x but not in IE8.The first alert comes in correctly while the second returns "null".
