I have no control over the application that is generating report in jsp.Is it possible to capture contents of iframe as image or convert it into a PDF file?

I'm using a form on a page as a vessel for data, rather than to actually submit it. The reason is that the form is submitted to a service at www.rdbhost.com with it's special JS API, so I extract the data from the form manually and then feed the data to the methods from the provided library.
One of the field is a file. Calling ``.val()`` on it simply gives me the file name, but I need the contents.I've looked around, and found a few plugins that would actually send the file, but that's not what I want.

I am trying to convert binary to decimal with this function but it doesn't convert to decimal, but does decimal to binary.
Code:
function bin2dec() {
var x = document.getElementById("bin").value;
if ((/[^0-1]/g.test(x)) || x == "") {
alert ("You must enter an integer binary number!");
document.getElementById("bin").value = "";
document.getElementById("bin").focus();
return false;
}
x = parseInt(x);
var dec = x.toString(10);
var hex = x.toString(16).toUpperCase();
var octal = x.toString(8);
var figs = "The decimal representation of " + x + " is " + dec + "<br>";
figs = figs + "The hexadecimal representation of " + x + " is " + hex + "<br>";
figs = figs + "The octal representation of " + x + " is " + octal + "<br>";
document.getElementById("result").innerHTML = figs;
}

I am writing a program that will take user input and convert the 8 digits the user enters (the 0's and 1's) and converts them into an integer between 0 and 255. It is a very simple program but I am still having some errors :

static String userInput = JOptionPane.showInputDialog("Enter a binary number with 8 integers to convert.");//Dialog Box that asks for user input
static int binaryValue = Integer.parseInt(userInput);//Parses the user's input into an integer

I've got an array as a php file that I want to convert to a javascript array. Do I write a php script and embed javascript within it, or do I do it the other way around? Are there other important aspects to consider writing such a script within a script? Does it matter where the script appears, i.e., between body tags, or head tags?

I'm using a script to include images into a slide show using direct URLs to the image files, but I am using fckeditor (PHP) for my users to edit their content. The script in the .js file that pulls the images into the slide show.The user's image file is going to be named something like, "userImage01.php". Inside that file would be their image location path ~ "images/user/image1.jpg".Therefore, I need the above javascript to pull-in "userImage01.php" INSTEAD OF the image's location path.

I've search far and wide for an answer, so forgive me if this is a
stupid question. (Well, it probably is.)
Consider the following javascript:
var foo = new Image();
foo.src = "http://some.server.com/some_filename.gif";
Now, the browser will retrieve 'some_filename.gif' from some.server.com
and put it into the object foo. What I want to do is then subsequently
analyze the actual binary data contained inside some_filename.gif.
(Specifically, I just need to look at the first few bytes.) Is there
any way to do this in just JavaScript?

I'm trying to get the binary data of an image object.
I've found articles to writing binary to be the source of an image, but they don't tell you how to do the reverse. Pretty much, after the page loads I want to do something like.
myImg = document.getElementById('cow.jpg');
binData = myImg.somethingToGetBinaryDataPlese
For those that are curious why I'm doing this its for another project I'm working on where I store the binary data somewhere else after load, but for technical reasons this has to be done client side for if I do it server side I'm not getting the results I need for this project.

Im trying to implement dynamic images on my site. Basically, there is a list box, and when the user selects an option, it calls a service that streams back a base64 encoded image that will be the preview of what they're looking at.in FF you can do this: img.src = "data:image/png;base64," + args ; This doesnt work for IE. from what ive learned, IE doesnt support this type of inline coding.
I was thinking that maybe the next best solution would be to convert the base64 back into binary, and set the new image object to that source. something like this:
Code:
var img = new image();
img.source = binarydata;
now obviously, img.source isnt a real method. but i would like to be ale to set the binary data as the image.
possiblities: Is there anyway to save that binary as a file on the client? and then be able to reference that file as the picture img.src = "images/" + newfilename;
Some other alternatives is to stream back a reference on the server to get the picture, this would require two callbacks, which i dont want.
Also, there is a method of turning the image into a big array of HTMl elements, and each element holds a color, being a pixel. im not doing that, that is the biggest hack job i have ever seen.

I'm writing a script and I've encountered a problem.. I have a txt file with many words, each word in a different line. For example: the file words.txt contains:
word1
word2
word3
word4
word5
I need to load the content of the file into a variable in my script. I prefer that all the words will be in the same variable with line breaks, but if you'll figure out a way to put it in an array, it's ok too. I really don't know how to do it, and I tried to google but didn't understand.. By the way, I don't want to change the txt file to js file, I need it to remain txt..

I got an [object error] from IE 7.0.5730.11 when moving the <script
src="..." type="text/javascript" /tag from the <headpart to the
<bodysection of a HTML file.
Is not possibile to include Javascript code via <script src="..."
type="text/javascript" /from the <bodysection, instead from the
<headone? If yes, anyone has any idea of which the problem could be?
If not, how can I programmatically include a javascript external file
inside the <bodypart of a HTML file, for example, using Javascript
to some particular native functions?

I'm trying to put in place a file upload validation check. So at the client-side, the User selects a file. Before uploading, at the GUI, if the file exceeds an imposed limit, it will prompt the User that it exceeds the permitted size for upload.
And if it is within the permitted size, the full file path of the file to be uploaded will then be obtained and then used for the actual upload to the Server.
My program is built on EXTJS and Java, running using Tomcat. Browser restricted to Internet Explorer 7 only.

$("#load").load('gerenciar_itens.php',{/* This is where I wanna pass the file. */}, function(data){
alert(data);

I have a problem with the latest version of the jQuery Form Plugin (2.80). To be more precise, I guess I am doing something wrong, and with an older version (2.67) somehow it didn't matter.With the old version, the file was uploaded without problems. Now Firefox opens a new Tab on clicking the submit button and nothing is done. Chrome doesn't open a new tab, but also nothing happens. In Wireshark I can see that there is no file attached in the POST message with the older version, the file was sent.My first guess was that my file handling on the server side is erroneous - but on the other hand, when there is no file attached, what should I handle there?
