Passing Current Value Of Fields Into Dynamic Dropdown?

So i have a form with fields (30+), and about 5 of them are fields that need to pass into my dropdown (actually a dynmaic dropdown, select SOURCE, then whatever source u select it'll show options that are mysql source=$source), so it can go into my mysql query, and filter out the best results. (i.e date_of_birth, min_credits, state, etc). Needs to be done without submitting, hence javascript. Im echo'ing my query and its saying the variables i'm trying to pass are UNDEFINED. Am I not passing the vars correctly? do i need to prep the vars to "grab" them in the current field?

The only var that is passing is SOURCE, and that's because its the name of the first dropdown
i need to set up like a GET method on my RECEIVING page? or can i just pass variables through? Do i need to get the "existing" data in the fields first?

I am having a form with a drop down and want to display the fields below it based on the drop down value selected. For example: my form has a drop down <select value> <values: A, B ,C, D) when I select A then I should get displayed a set of fields (like input fields, drop down fields etc) just below the main drop down and when I choose B then it should display a set of fields specific to B and like that. What technology / script to use this to achieve this. I have also attached the sample html page.

how to populate a dropdown based on Another dropdown selection. This all should be a dynamic. Eg: I have two text boxes one is TechID and other is JOB ID. When I start typing Tech ID it suggests me the list of IDs which start with the input string i have put in Tech textbox. When i select the Tech ID the jobs associated to that Tech ID should be displayed in JOB ID text box as a dropdown list.

So I have a basic form and I'm unsure of how I can pass the current URL of the page to that form so that it may be processed in a PHP file and return the user to the current page. Given the nature of what I'm writing this must be done in Javascript and not PHP. However I'm not really understanding the information I'm finding online.

I have this reservation form found on the main page of: http://www.avis.com.lb/
As you can see the current month "August" is selected as the default month and so is the year and day (the day is programmed to jump 2 days ahead for the renting of the car...)
However if you look closely (check the screenshot attached) you'll see that the month "August" is repeated twice and so is the year "2009", the current month is repeated twice. What I wanna do is remove the duplication and just auto select the current month without duplicating it.code...

'm trying to put together some code within a form that tests whether someone has supplied an email address or a telephone number when the Submit button is pressed. Neither of these fields are require mandatory input.Trouble is my current code always supplies a true result even if no data is put in these fields i.e. the 1st IF statement returns true. What am I doing wrong?Here's my code.

what can be the reasons for the same code which works perfectly in notepad to not show its result in a jsp application done using eclipse??anything to do with settings?
I am not able to display the current date as default in dd/mm/yyyy format in drop down menu..only dd and yyyy apears but month isnt apearing as default..

I am using a system called CMS Made Simple which has a quotes feature. This will generate a quote randomly from a MySQL database. To refer to this quote feature you have to use the {quote} tag which has a few parameters.
The parameter I am interested in is {quote group=""} because I want my users to be able to see a random quote from a group that they select through a dropdown list.

Which functions just fine. However the problem with this code is that I plan to have 65 different groups for the user to select from. When I have tried to do this the webpage has become very slow. I presume this is from loading 65 random quotes from a MySQL database in case the user selects the div - a very slow method which needs to be put on the backburner!
Essentially I would like only the first Div to load with the webpage and the others to load when they are selected in the dropdown list.
I realise other threads exist which are similar to this but they do not pass parameters in the same way and I also saw someone say to start your own thread rather than hijacking someone elses!

I have a multi-page form which will (once it is functional and prettied up) be added to our site to allow prospective students to calculate their estimated cost of attending.
Everything works beautifully except the Room and Board area. The code:

The Javascript portion works fine. The items display only when they are supposed to. However, the form fields within the Javascript affected areas are not passing values to the PHP form handling on submit.
I used this exact same piece of Javascript on another page of the form and it works perfectly. I even tried to copy and paste the code from the other page into this one and modify the content to no avail.

I have a content slider called "Codaslider" (ver 1.1 I believe) setup, and using CSS I have an absolute positioned image hovering above the slider at all times. The effect is what I want, where I have a static image of my company's product hovering above the content slider, and the background images slide around showing various features and such.
I would like to make it where the customer can click anywhere within the bounds of the content slider (including on top of the static image), and be able to follow the link for the image in the content slider.
For example, if the background image shows "New Features" or something similar, I want the customer to be able to click anywhere and get to the "New Features" page.
So basically, is there a way to dynamically set the URL that the static overlaid image points to, based on what page the content slider is on?

I'm creating dynamic buttons and forms for a website and would like the form hidden when it's corresponding button is clicked. However, when I pass button and form name variables to my JavaScript that hides the form, the variables are not being recognised unless I explicitly set them. (e.g 1 and 2 as seen below).
In a nutshell the onlick event doesn't seem to like PHP variables !

I am starting to use javascript, so my knowledge is very basic, so this is what i am looking for:

This is what i want to do: When the user clicks "Add a New Page", it adds a table with the id="pageX" and a delete button with the id="deleteX" where X = the next page number.
When they click deleteX it should make pageX table display:none and assign a value to deleteX.
I got it to do everything except for assigning deleteX with a new value. the code that makes the delete buttons not work is:

I have a mysql database (name) which helds 3 fields, id, naam, email. In php I've made the connection and create a selection menu and with javascript I was able to display, (when I selected for example "Bas" in the selection menu), bas his name into a first input text field. Now a couple of things I still want but can't seem to get it right.
First: I also want to display "bas" his email address in a second input text field. (the database contains more names, but this an example).
Second: The selection menu starts with the first name in the database, but can I make it for example "Select name" as beginning.

i want to make a form. the form will have three text fields and with two buttons. what i want with this form is when the user enters the first three fields and if he wants to add more then he will click on add more button and on the same page three more fields will appear below the first three fields. the user will then enter these three fields then if he wants to add more then he will click on add more button. so three more fields will appear below the first six fields. user will enter these fields. he will be allowed to enter upto eight or less than eight times. once he finishes with this then he will click the second button to insert this data into db.

I am using a script that duplicates a fieldset and an onBlur event that updates a sub total when you enter a value into 3 fields in the set but I am having one glitch
Here is the trouble: The duplication of the fieldset works great.
I have another script which is creating a sum ("sum") of the fields named "unitPrice" in the original fieldset. When I duplicate the fieldset that has the new "unitPrice" fields they do not get calculated into that sum. I am sure the "unitPrice" fields are being renamed in the new fieldset but what name would I use and how do I write it into the calculation so that the sub total ("sum") is updated with all of the "unitPrice" fields?

I wanto make a custom slideshow generator, and that users can add their image links. Now the problem is i don't wan't to limit my users to let's say 5 iage links, i would like to make somthing that will alow them to add as much input fields as they won't and then when they submit that they get the proper slideshow code with as those fields. so if anybody now's how to do this i would me more thank thankfull.

I have a signup form on a site that does a check on submission of fields to see if they populated and error box if not changes focus to missing field and highlights field name in red.
I wanted to improve on its effectiveness as it only checks 2 fields atm and I wanted it to check some dynamic fields as well
the fields are associative arrays generated via php as follows:-

but this doesn't work, i think it doesn't recognise the nfield[1] syntax
I also wanted to enhance the form somewhat as atm it only displays one error popup at a time, so if the user has missed out a few fields they will get an initial popup, try and submit again and then get the second popup for the other missing field.
Can my code be modified to show a list of the missing fields and highlight all the titles in red (and if possible change the background colour of the input boxes or border the input fields in red etc)?
