It's called "Confirm override". This function is called through a click on the button or on the link. Now I want to call this function onload I dont' have really a clue, how to manipulate the current script to make the correct changes.
Imho this is the code snippet, which calls the popup through a click.

Calling A Function From Multiple Pages - OnLoad
Nov 19, 2007JavaScript is not my strong point though and I have found that the previous web editor has a lot of repeat functions on the pages.
My idea is to create an external .js file and just call the function...it is for a rotating banner ad. The problem is the the function is called in the <Body> tag..this means that I have to change 100's of pages by adding the call function to the tag on every page.
Is there a way I can call the function as well as adding the function to the onLoad event.
I have tried adding "window.onload = rotateBanner;" to the beginning of my javaScript but it does not seem to work...what am I doing wrong

When i change the country from the dropdown box i get an error "hometown.setCities is not a function" but the thing is that i can call this in other ways eg from the address bar (javascript:hometown.setCities()) and it works perfectly.

Now I need to add an OS detection function to redirect iphone and ipad users immediately (bypassing the flash pape). So, I have 2 functions that need to be in the body onload. I figured the logical thing to do would be to write another function that calls the first 2, then put that one in the onload. But now nothing is working. I have played with in for an hour with no luck.

Iframe OnLoad Function Lost With Replace() Method?
May 27, 2009I've been using a hidden iframe for remote server scripting - how i've been doing it is that a load(); function changes the src component of the iframe with $_GET variables to pass to PHP:

The frame itself then has an "onload" function that calls a doLoad(); function that handles receipt of any information back from the server. declared this way:
<iframe id="loader" onload="loader.doLoad();" style="width:0px;height:0px;border:none;"></iframe>
The trouble with this as you may guess is that the page was reloading every time src was changed and the history list of the browser was messed up. So I did some research and came up with this method that solves that problem:

Which is great, but now onload doesn't call!

May 12, 2011I have a single webpage that contains information on all 50 U.S. states. There are 50 links at the top to jump down to the state you want, and at the bottom of the information for each state a Back to Top link.
I'm making the Back to Top link into something more complex, and it will require three or four lines of code.
So that I don't have to repeat the code 50 times, and create a burden when I need to edit it, I want to place it in a .js file and call it x. Then below the information for each state I'll simply have:

window.onload = f();
and
<body onload="f();">
Specifically, window.onload appears to fire before all the elements of
the page have been rendered. As the difference is consistent across
IE/Moz/Opera, I'm assuming it's deliberate - can anyone point me
towards where this behaviour of window.onload is defined in the

Basically, I want to have a public static class method that could
access a private object's method. I would like to be able to do :
Class.method(InstanceOfClass);
The method would then access a private function from Class by doing
something like

I've done a lot research and experimentations but just can't come up
with a solution... I don't even know if what I'm trying to do is

The reason why I ask is because if you want to use it for the arguments property of function object, or a string, or an object, or a number instance, you are forced to use Array .prototype slice.call(). And by doing that, you can pass in any type of object instance (Array, Number, String, Object) into it. So why not just default it as a method of all object instances built into the language?In other words, instead of doing this:

Jul 17, 2011I have a form button with id="submit". When pressed, ClickGeocode(credentials) is called. This works fine and dandy with: $('submit").click(ClickGeocode) Despite there being no indication that the function takes an argument 'credentials'. So when I want to call the function at some point in my code, I should be able to do something like ClickGeocode(credentials) ... no? However, my issue is that credentials isn't once defined in my code - it is part of Bing Maps function... like so:

So why does it work using .click(), and how can I call the function without user interaction (simply somewhere in my code) even if 'credentials' is not defined?

execute on page load. They can't emit to OnLoad = <functionname> because
then only one of the scripts will get executed. Is there a way around this?
