I have a div column that has my projects that scroll vertically on each page. I want to have a functionality where I can have the user hover over the image on the left and a column beside that will appear some text that describes the project. That text would change when they hover over a different project. I don't know where to find this kind of thing.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a banner that has image navigation on the lower right. The navigation links are images which, when clicked, change the banner without reloading the page. The actual switching of the banner is working when each image is clicked.
However, my problem is this:
The page itself is long and must be vertically-scrolled to see the entire content. Because of the scrolling, the banner could appear anywhere vertically on the page. And whenever I click the banner navigation hrefs, the page "jumps" so that the banner is at the top. The page should really stay in the fixed position.
I'm not sure how to set it up so that no matter where the banner section is on the scrolled page, that the page stays in the same position when the navigation is clicked.

Do I need something in my script so that the page won't jump? Or am I missing something in the HTML?
I have 7 links that need an image to change on hover. I can get it to work for the first, but not for the rest. The code I'm using is:

personal website I am modifying for a friend. He basically has a list of links such as:

What I want to do is that whenever you roll over, say, "Blog", an image appears to the right of the links (the image will be a small screenshot of what the blog looks like). When you roll over "Pictures", a different image appears in it's place.I already know how to do this when rolling over images, but not rolling over text. I'm using the following piece of code to create a link that, when clicked, uses jquery animation to slowly display a paragraph of text. The trouble is that the animation goes both vertically and horizontally, making it look a little too busy/cluttery. How can I tweak my code to make it only animate vertically?

What I would like to do, is make a text link that when rolled over will change a separate background image to it's hover state. I should add, that the the rollover image has it's own div and is separate from where the text link is located. To get a visual you can check the website [URL] In the body section I would like to make each of the dark red section titles a link that when rolled over will change the hover state of the corresponding "more" button.

The if statement is reached correctly, but I can't get the code within it to work. Each image is stored within an anchor and, as with the hover code (included), I'm trying to change the end of its source file name from '_off'to '_on' so it's active.

How to reproduce this effect in something like JQuery? Specifically I'm looking at the hover effects at the top of the page: [URL]. It looks like a custom JS file from their end, but I'd like to find something a little more mainstream that looks and acts very similarly, especially with the easing in and out of images.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have this scroll box javascript code and it works great. Right now it has a left arrow and right arrow and when you move the mouse cursor over either images a function is called and the box will scroll appropriately.
But I want the scroll box just to scroll automatically. I can't figure out the code that should be simple enough to add to just have the scroll to happen automatically in code. Could someone provide me with the modifications necessary to do this... or better yet a way to get rid of the arrow scrolling all-together and just have the box scroll indefinately (when it gets to the end of the box's content it just repeats the images)? I am trying to build on my weather website. On the page I am working on I have many images. These images are best viewed at large sizes, but if all of them were large, the page would look terrible, so I have them set to take the large image, shrink on load, enlarge on mouseover, then shrink on mouseout.. the problem is, if users do not scroll down my page, and try to look at the second row of images.. Then the bottom half of the image is cut off.. So what I need to do is Figure Out how to get my images to either appear and center of page on enlarge, or to have the page scroll down on enlarge..
