Basically, I want to make it so there is a button, and when you click it, it plays a random song from a list of songs that would be in the code. I am not completely sure if this is possible or not.
Using JavaScript, I require a code that allows me to play .wav sound files randomly and automatically on page start-up, I also need them to loop as they are drum beats. The plan: to load my web page and hear a random drum beat that loops continuously. I need it to be compatible with most, if not all Internet browsers (Chrome, Internet Explorer, Firefox and Opera are crucial) and to state what sound file is playing on the page (allowing me to identify the looping drum beat/sound file), and if possible to provide a link to the actual sound file for download.
I'm trying to make a load of words that will appear and start floating randomly around the screen when the pointer is moved over a link, and stop moving when the link is clicked. The following is all I have so far - the ?s indicate that I have no idea what to put in that place!
i want to make a module to swap ads randomly from folder named ads on the root like,, the advertising are either .swf, or .gif all that i need is to play the swf (when one is finished it starts the other one.. till the display of all swf's)..
[URL]
The folder ads is supposed to have 5 ads, when it finished number 1... it start randomly until it finish displaying all the advertising swf... i dont want to display only one of the five ... but display all in a random way..may be i have to know the length of the swf (in seconds ) and when it is finished i want to display the second and third .... etc
I'm creating a web page that randomly shows images when when a button is clicked. I appear to be having 2 main problems with it so I'll begin with what seems to be the easiest one to tackle.as the user scrolls down the page I need to keep the button statically, in the top right corner.here's the relevant code:
Alright so for a school assignment I need to create a button with the name of the color it is going to turn the background to. the assignment says nothing about naming the buttons the hex numbers for the color therefore: I was curious if someone could show me how to create a button in java script that would generate a random hex number for a color ie: #+()+()+()+()+()+() and the text shown on the button would be the same as the hex number generated.
I see when I post a link to Facebook for a youtube video that it shows a thumbnail. When i click the thumbnail it plays the video right there on my facebook page.
I am wondering how do they do that trick?
So, let me take a guess.
Facebook is probably using some RSS feed aggregator to pull the info from YouTube.
They probably are also using maybe jQuery + CSS to hide the video at first. When you click the thumbnail it shows the video and then the video begins playing.
So, two questions: if that is how they do it then How do they make the hidden video not play when the page loads? how do they get it to start playing automatically once the video is revealed?
I'm having a problem that I thought would be simple, but it's driving me crazy!I simply want to play a short .wav sound when a button or image is clicked. I have one that plays once when the page opens, but I don't want that. I want the sound to wait for the OnClick.This script I have looks right, but I'm new and don't fully understand how to go about this. If anyone would help me out here, I would solve the Middle East trouble, eliminate the National debt, and find jobs for all the unemployed!Thanks for any guidance, JD ps. I use Chrome & IE
<style type="text/javascript"> <script> function EvalSound(soundobj) {
Does anyone know how (and if it's possible) to create buttons or text that will play a sound on mousedown/onclick/mouseover?
I've tried the examples on this page - http://www.phon.ucl.ac.uk/home/mark/audio/play.htm#, but the only ones that don't make my I.E. browser crash don't work in Firefox.
I have a set of flash files called inside iframe. I need to put a play/ stop button into the parent html to control the flash. I tried using document.getElementById[iframename](playerId) but the JavaScript is not recognizing the flash object.
I am using strobe media playback. Is there any way I can communicate to flash object using javascript?
I'm trying to code a play/pause button via Jquery and the Cycle plugin. I'm able to toggle between the two and the "resume" function works, but am not sure how to make the "pause" function work.
I've got a quick and little jQuery script set up so that when I hover over a div (#meatHome), a smaller div with a play button pops up (#playVideo). When you hit play, a div with a youtube embed comes up and plays (#promoVideo). Everything works, save for the fact that once the video comes up, I don't want the play button to come up anymore when I hover over it.
Here's the code:
When the play button is pressed, show the video player
Now, I have also tried using this for the function on lines 15 thru 18.
Which succesfully hides the #playVideo div permanently but fails to show the video div. If I swap out ($("#promoVideo")) with a simple string of text, it appears to work just fine. Can anybody shed some light on my plight?
The problem I have is that I have a list of song on my site. So the user can select other songs. And after that he can select an other one. Unfortunately I can only play the song initially loaded with the page!Here is my code (snippets)First of all I have a global configuration parameter like this
01) I would like to rollover (onmouseover?) a button that is a video and have the video (button) play. (A 5 sec video that stops at end)
02) On rolloff (onmouseoff?) the same button I would like it to rewind to the beginning for next rollover.
03) I would like to add more of these "Video Button Rollovers" to the same website page in the future. I would like to use DreamWeaver CS4, and stay away from flash for more accessibility and less memory intensive overhead. (obviously no control-bar for video)
I have all the parts to this to try a variety of solutions. The video is a box with untied string on a white background. When played a person fades-on and ties the string into a bow. (white background matches website background)
Parts:
01) video from untied box to tied box with person .mov 02) image of first frame of video .jpg 03) video from untied box to tied box with person to person fade-off and untied box .mov 04) video of tied box with person to person fade-off and untied box.mov
I have a simple calculator here that takes the number of songs from the input text box and multiplies it by 500 and then tells you the total. I am doing this on a simple web page for a project for college. I know document.write overwrites my entire page to print the result but I would like to keep the page and design that I have made and to print the result on the same paragraph as where the script and text box are.
I am using the youtube chromeless player and embeding videos with loadVideoById() method problem is that videos with an id that contains an underscore or dash dont play although they play in the normal player. I also tried replacing with a hex value in querystring i.e (%5f) but that did not work I also tried loadVideoByUrl() method with several urls but still they don't load. here is my code
function switchToPlayer(ytid){ var params = { allowScriptAccess: "always"}; var atts = { id: ytid,onmouseover: "this.playVideo()",onmouseout: "this.pauseVideo()"}; swfobject.embedSWF("http://www.youtube.com/apiplayer?border=0&enablejsapi=1&playerapiid="+ytid, 'cell'+ytid, "150", "120", "8", "scripts/expressInstall.swf",null,params,atts); } [Code]....
I have it set up so that there are three frames (frames and the use of javascript are encourage for practice) "bar" on the left with navigational options, "main" in the center where the body of the drill is presented, and "feedback" along the bottom where the feedback will appear.
My issue is that I have everything working except the form! I'm not sure how to make it so that upon clicking the submit button the feedback is presented in the "feedback" frame. This was suggested to me but isn't working, maybe I have a mistake somewhere? Or is there another way I can do this?
<html> <head> <script type="text/javascript"> function CheckCheckbox() {
I would like for the script to say "Ok here is the button on this page *clicks* (or submit)".I've tried learning what I can on my own,I've tried using the search tool.Here is the part of the code I am trying to use to make my click button.
how to make a close button for this? The close button I currently have here makes the IMAGE2 disappear but I cannot see IMAGE1 until the time runs out on the setTmeout. I want to be able to click the closeX and close out the whole script leaving IMAGE1 showing. Here is what I have:
