I'm trying to make a realtime script which changes some of the css in a page in realtime. I have done this within a parent page but now want to be able to change some values in a iframe with a page in same domain..This is how I did it within same page:
How would i change iframe content from another? ? I just need the 1 line code not a whole example, what i have atm is the page refreshes and a new variable is given i want the variable displayed on another iframe.
I'm trying to change the body colour of the parent window when a button is clicked inside an iFrame, using jquery. The code I have is as follows but it just doesn't do anything:
Getting to the poiint; I have a 'index.html' document that creates 3 iframes, each within a row of a 1 column, 3 row table. So I have a top (frame1), middle,(frame2) and bottom(frame3). Frame1 src="header.html" is a descriptive banner. Frame2 src="Start.html" is where the real application does all the work. Frame3 src="footer.html" is a footer, that may contain 1 or more images or small buttons.
I will include the code for index.html at the end:
What I can't seem to do is have "start.html" change the content or src of frame1, recall start.html is the src of frame2. When a button within a form within start.html is pressed (onclick), a cgi (c program) outputs new html into frame2, a mainmenu of buttons. Now frame2 contains a list of buttons, and I want frame1 to contain text "Main Menu". Likewise, in the mainmenu, when the settings button is pressed a cgi program will output the settings HTML to frame2, and I want frame1 to contain the text "Settings".
Sure, the cgi program could change/re-write the contents of "header.html", but whats the best method, and then, how to reload the iframe, or change it's src.
I want to change iframe.src value? So I use following code,when I click 'Click here',I find the iframe don't go to b.html page,why? Where is error? How to correct my code? My code is follows:
And it features a lot of handy little web gadgets and apps for users. I was interested in creating a page, where two iframes are shown side-by-side both with the width of 50% and the height of 100%, with adressbars on top of each of them.
So, essentially, what I need is just a code that allows the user to edit the iframe's src and get it to a different site.
I am using an iframe to access a certain page like this: <iframe id="iframe" src="http://www.example.com" width="100%" height="500"></iframe>I want to use javascript instead of this as I am able to put this on my blogspot blog, but not on wordpress. Wordpress does not allow iframes because of security issues, so I need an alternative.
i got a page with menus on top and an iframe in the middle of this page. Now what i want to know is how can i change iframe's content when i click on the menu's hyperlinks. Like when i click the "About" in the menu i want to see about.html in iframe.
What I am codeing is essentialy some digital signaage for my office. I will have a calender that updates through several screens with information in them. The basic page stays the same but the content is loaded into a large iframe in the center of the page and each html file loaded into the iframe is changed using meta tags. This is a touch screen so I want control along the bottom of the screen. I have did this very crudely with css and html. But I would like to refine it a little more with javascript.
I want javascript to control the content of the iframe and javascript to control the buttons along the bottom to manual switch to a diffferent screen along with a button that stops the auto reloading of the page. Here is where I am so far. I have the javascript to automatilly change the iframe src but I need help with the nav buttons and the stop button. Right now the nav buttons are still using the regular <a> tags targeting the iframe.
This should be an easy one for a change... I just can't figure out the DOM addressing format... either that or its just not possible.
I want to change the body align attribute of the content of an iFrame. The 'why?' is a bit convoluted, I just need to do it from a bit of JavaScript.
I have tried:
Code:
And the FF error console (it will be used mainly in IE but the FF error console is nicer ;-) ) tells me that document.getElementById('myIframe').document is not defined.
I know that document.getElementById('myIframe'). is defined as I can set its src value to load a page, so I'm guessing that the loaded document isn't called document in the DOM.
Can anyone point me in the right direction to being able to manipulate bits of the docuemnt laoded in the iFrame - the body attributes particularly to start with?
I'm currently working on a site that consists of several Iframes. I need to create a page that will load this site with a specific page in the main Iframe as opposed to the normal index page. So far I've simply created a dummy page that opens up the site in a new window and attempts to change the location of the main content Iframe using this piece of js:
Code:
function init() { var site = window.open('index.htm', '', ''); site.document.content.location = 'news_caster.htm' this.close();
I have to use onMouseOver to change the content of an iframe. I'm trying to use an array but I'm confused and I'm not really sure if what I'm doing is correct and it doesnt work.
here is part of my code..
var frame=new Array(6); frame[0]="page1.html"; frame[1]="page2.html"; frame[2]="page3.html";
I've set the page up with an iframe because I figured then I would only have to update menu links on that main page and then there'd be less chance of missing a link somewhere along the way as new updates are added. I know this could probably be accomplished with .css, but I don't know how to do that either!
My problem is that the iframe won't adjust height to allow for the longer pages without adding scroll bar. My neighbor doesn't want it to look like its a separate box at all, so no borders and no scrolling can be used. I've tried the various solutions I've found online and either they do nothing or they stretch the page that's loading in the frame to ridiculous proportions AND still adds a scroll bar.
As I said, I haven't designed in several years and I never learned JavaScript at all. I suspect my problem is probably due to not understanding which bits of code I need to change to my iframe name. The IFrame SSI IV totally confuses me, though I do think that's the one that would ultimately work if I just knew where I was supposed to plug in my iframe name and target info.
My iframe name is, quite simply, "content" and the first page I want loaded (when someone first visits the site) is "whatisreiki.html" (my neighbor does Reiki on animals). The site is www.lovingtheanimals.com but I am working on this particular issue on www.lovingtheanimals.com/iframetest.html so that I don't totally screw up the site where visitors might be affected.
I just cannot get the html to load for each linked button to the Iframe. If I remove the "onclick" command for the backround images, the links load to the Iframe. If I leave the "onclick" command in there only the background changes.So, I would assume there is a conflicting issue with loading the "a href" and the "onclick" commands together. Maybe I need to know how to do multiple "onclick" commands...suggestions?
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
I have a single web page that loads several iframes. One of the iframe pages has to be logged in first. I have that taken care of but once the page is loaded I need to change the source to a link with in the page. My guess is I need something to execute the code like a onload or something. This is what Ive been trying to get to work but like I said a newb! code...
The project I am working on involves a flash piece that communicates with a iframe.Currently the flash piece just calls on javascript functions. I want the buttons in the flash piece to be able to change the src of the iframe.
<script type="text/javascript"> document.getElementById('video').setAttribute('src',address2); function closeVideo() {
I have build a tree view forum, I have used the iframe tag to import it to my wordpress blog .
I have a script that determine the size of the iframe on load:
The problem with the script is that the forum(tree view forum) only shows topics. I have another script that displays the contents of any issue only while clicking (Void). In actual the contents of each issue is charging ahead - but the resize function of the Iframe script not see it.
How do I fix it, that the size of the Iframe will change automatically?
