View 1 RepliesI am using an iframe to access a certain page like this: <iframe id="iframe" src="http://www.example.com" width="100%" height="500"></iframe>I want to use javascript instead of this as I am able to put this on my blogspot blog, but not on wordpress. Wordpress does not allow iframes because of security issues, so I need an alternative.

How to code iframe using jquery?
View 3 Replies View RelatedWhat I want to be able to do from within an iframe is:
check if
parent.window.document.getElementById("autoloadpop") is null
I guess that would be:
if (parent.window.document.getElementById('autoload') == null) { etc
But then I want to add:
<a href='popup.php' id='autoloadpop' onclick="return hs.htmlExpand(this, { contentId: 'popup', objectType: 'iframe', width: 620, maxHeight: 400} )"></a>
to an existing div with the id 'main-header' in the parent page.
And then make the following call:
parent.window.document.getElementById('autoloadpop').onclick();
I have an iframe and I load a html page with jquery code.I have 2 checkboxes and I have 2 div in this iframe. That way when someone checks the check boxes it will appentTo html code into the div.I was not able to run any code or get them working. So I just wanted to test if I can do it. So I wrote basic code which is this:[code]
I tried that code above. I won't work. It was to detect if the input check box named hosting_Service is checked. If it is checked then it will have a popup window with a message saying ok.I put this code it and tried it. Nothing happens when I click the check box.
I would you grab the source code from an IFRAME and display it in a textarea?
I'm trying to create a sort of preview page that both shows a rendered page, then shows the source code next to it.
[edit]: I'm thinking that using OnLoad JS event in the HTML body tag would allow this to work. The page loads, the OnLoad event calls a JS function that pulls the innerHTML from the IFRAME and inserts it into the textarea.
I am looking for a code to redirect visitor if they are visiting my actual page. I iframe part of the page on another page, so I want it to be visible, but if the user visits the page that is being iframed it will redirect them back to the original page where that page is iframed at?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am writing one iframe dynamically from my code like below. document.write("<iframe src='" + location + "?querStr=" + querStr"' width='0px' height='0px'></iframe>"); location is something like - [URL] and the querStr is some parameters passing to the iframe. querStr contains some parameters which have timestamp appended. So the request url is always unique. In IE/FF2 i am seeing proper unique request (200 response code) but in Firefox 3, the url is getting cached. From my code (before sending the request) i can see proper generation of the request but actually the request url gets cached. I saw it using fiddler and the response code is 304.
View 3 Replies View RelatedGetting to the poiint; I have a 'index.html' document that creates 3 iframes, each within a row of a 1 column, 3 row table. So I have a top (frame1), middle,(frame2) and bottom(frame3). Frame1 src="header.html" is a descriptive banner. Frame2 src="Start.html" is where the real application does all the work. Frame3 src="footer.html" is a footer, that may contain 1 or more images or small buttons.
I will include the code for index.html at the end:
What I can't seem to do is have "start.html" change the content or src of frame1, recall start.html is the src of frame2. When a button within a form within start.html is pressed (onclick), a cgi (c program) outputs new html into frame2, a mainmenu of buttons. Now frame2 contains a list of buttons, and I want frame1 to contain text "Main Menu". Likewise, in the mainmenu, when the settings button is pressed a cgi program will output the settings HTML to frame2, and I want frame1 to contain the text "Settings".
Sure, the cgi program could change/re-write the contents of "header.html", but whats the best method, and then, how to reload the iframe, or change it's src.

Is there a way you can control history on a specific iframe?
Let say you have these file
index.html
a.html
b.html
As you can see it's just very simple page w/ 2 frames. I created 2 button that is specific to iFrame's history but... it does not work... Yes, it does perform "back" but at the the "top" level and not at specific iframe.... I tried this on both firefox and chrome..same behavior..
I am currently trying to script a way for the source code from a Rich Text Editor to be copied and saved as a .txt file in the same folder, when you hit the 'submit' button (see demo on link below).
The Text editor being used is [URL]
I want to change iframe.src value? So I use following code,when I click 'Click here',I find the iframe don't go to b.html page,why? Where is error? How to correct my code? My code is follows:
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
<head>
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8" />
<script language="javascript" type="text/javascript">
function showDiv(){

And it features a lot of handy little web gadgets and apps for users. I was interested in creating a page, where two iframes are shown side-by-side both with the width of 50% and the height of 100%, with adressbars on top of each of them.
So, essentially, what I need is just a code that allows the user to edit the iframe's src and get it to a different site.
I'm trying to make a realtime script which changes some of the css in a page in realtime. I have done this within a parent page but now want to be able to change some values in a iframe with a page in same domain..This is how I did it within same page:
Code JavaScript:
jQuery("#bodycolor").attachColorPicker();
jQuery("#bodycolor").change(function() {jQuery(document.body).css("background-

I have an iframe named mainFrame and a div in that called screen
How can i change the the innerhtml from another iframe?
I have this:
I get this error "object dopes not support this method:
What I am codeing is essentialy some digital signaage for my office. I will have a calender that updates through several screens with information in them. The basic page stays the same but the content is loaded into a large iframe in the center of the page and each html file loaded into the iframe is changed using meta tags. This is a touch screen so I want control along the bottom of the screen. I have did this very crudely with css and html. But I would like to refine it a little more with javascript.
I want javascript to control the content of the iframe and javascript to control the buttons along the bottom to manual switch to a diffferent screen along with a button that stops the auto reloading of the page. Here is where I am so far. I have the javascript to automatilly change the iframe src but I need help with the nav buttons and the stop button. Right now the nav buttons are still using the regular <a> tags targeting the iframe.

This should be an easy one for a change... I just can't figure out the DOM addressing format... either that or its just not possible.
I want to change the body align attribute of the content of an iFrame. The 'why?' is a bit convoluted, I just need to do it from a bit of JavaScript.
I have tried:
Code:
And the FF error console (it will be used mainly in IE but the FF error console is nicer ;-) ) tells me that document.getElementById('myIframe').document is not defined.
I know that document.getElementById('myIframe'). is defined as I can set its src value to load a page, so I'm guessing that the loaded document isn't called document in the DOM.
Can anyone point me in the right direction to being able to manipulate bits of the docuemnt laoded in the iFrame - the body attributes particularly to start with?

I'm currently working on a site that consists of several Iframes. I need to create a page that will load this site with a specific page in the main Iframe as opposed to the normal index page. So far I've simply created a dummy page that opens up the site in a new window and attempts to change the location of the main content Iframe using this piece of js:
Code:
function init()
{
var site = window.open('index.htm', '', '');
site.document.content.location = 'news_caster.htm'
this.close();
