I am trying to integrate with my page it worked but ever since I used this form validation the lavalamp went away: [URL] This is the link to the lavalamp: [URL] So the lavalamp should work like this: [URL] But instead it doesn't like this: [URL] and I am not sure why, also the form validation doesn't work very well at all.

I currently have a form named "survey". I found here a JavaScript to validate my form.
I am having serious issues with this script, either it won't execute at all (the form doesn't work, as well as the validation) or the form submits without validating the form.

My JavaScript Form Validation doesn't work at all in Netscape, but it works fine in IE.
I made some of the suggested changes which enabled it to work in IE. I couldn't make all the changes because then it didn't work in IE.
How can I enable this javascipt form validation to work in Netscape? When I use netscape, none of the alert boxes appear. It submits the form without validating anything.
In IE, I get all the alert boxes and everything is validated.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am making this drop down menu with several options depending on your choice. It works fine in FF but when I tried in IE simply won't recognize a Value. The window keep popping out even though you choose an option, this way won't let me go to the next step.

I am having a problem with the submit() method that is driving me nuts. I'm using document.form.submit() with large text fields (approx. 2000 characters) and am getting a "Invalid Syntax" error. If I do the same thing with a text field of under 1500 characters, it works fine.
Is there some size limit here that I don't know about?
I'm using LavaLamp [url] for the main navigation on a site I'm building, for a subtle animated effect.
The site itself is a single-page portfolio site with 3 sections organized vertically, "Home," "About," and "Work."
The problem I'm having is that the clicked navigation does not return to its original position on each panel if I double back on it.
For example, if I'm on the Home panel, and I want to get to About, I'll want to select "About." The LavaLamp animation will ease over to the "About" link on hover, and I'll click it, then the page will scroll to the About panel, where "About" in the navigation is being shown as selected (LavaLamp has a "current" class you can apply to whatever you want to start off as being selected)...
And that's great, BUT, say I want to get back to the Home panel. I click "Home" in the nav, and I'm transported back to the Home panel - but when I was there before, I'd selected "About", and since it's all on the same page, the link is focused on "About," even though I'm on the Home panel. Make sense?
I'm not good enough at JS or jQuery to figure out how to fix this. I think what I want to happen is for every link on each panel to STAY where it was originally assigned ("Home" link will stay on Home, "About" link will stay on About, etc.), but animate on hover only.
Is there a way to write something into the LavaLamp JS to make it so the animation works only on hover, and not on active, focus, or visited?

I have form inside iframe. I want to copy form to parent window after user entered data and then submit. Everything works fine, except with file input. why my simple javascript to refresh the parent window doesn't work in IE8? When the child window closed, it reopen another new window for the page I want the parent window to refresh and nothing happened on the parent window.How can I make it load the page from parent window instead of a new window ??? it works perfectly in other browsers but not IE.

So the following code hides/shows fields in a form when radio buttons are clicked, the problem is on the same form I have a checkbox and when said check box is selected the showing and hiding of the fields doesn't work.
