InnerHTML Not Showing Images In IE?

I have a bulletted list on one side, and when the user rolls over, information (text and sometimes a picture) about the topic pops up on the right side. I'm retrieving simple html files and using Javascript innerHTML to accomplish this. Everything is working perfectly in Firefox and Opera. In Internet Explorer, I have a very strange bug. The text appears just fine, but images in the html files don't. There is just a blank space the size of the image. There's no little "can't find image" icon either, just blank space. Here's my code:

It shows perfectly in Safari and firefox.var A is simply a div that may contain <span></span> tags. This function counts the span tags, and creates buttons to match the number of span tags that parenting div contains. 'parts' is an empty div with an id of 'parts.' It's the location the buttons are to be placed.
As I said, the buttons show up in safari and firefox. But no go with iexplorer.does iexplorer not read the innerHTML call? I've even tried just printing a 'test' string as the innerHTML and, it didn't show up.

I'm trying to display a widget that is called through another page. The "test" word shows up, but the WIDGET portion does not. I know the address works, I can call it through the url and it displays fine so that's not the problem. It's something within the javascript.

I have an an element that can successfully be retrieved by document.getElementById('id'),but when I attempt to alert(document.getElementById('id').innerHTML), the string is empty. Then, if I try to change the innerHTML like this:
document.getElementById('id').innerHTML += "new string", I get "unknown runtime error".The thing that bothers me is that the element can be gotten with getElementById, but its property innerHTML seems to be either blank or null when in fact, it contains HTML. By the way, this is all in IE. I have tested in FIrefox, Chrome, Safari, Opera, and it works perfectly in those.

My Internet Explorer (version 6, on Wind. Mill.) suddenly stopped displaying XBM images, for no apparent reason. I now get the dreaded missing-image icon, where previously there would be a nice black-n-picture, whether created locally with Javascript or called in as an .xbm file. (See

I am trying to set up a jQuery carousel on my home page. I want it to operate by mouse - also auto scrolling, be horizontal, be circular, show one image at once.
I currently have three images to show one at a time in a containing div. All three images are showing together. One is in the container, in the right place, two others are shown below it. These two should be hidden in the carousel. The carousel itself, does not work. code...

Posted this in the wrong forum earlier.
I'm pretty new to Java, so i may be missing something simple, but here is my problem; On this page under the work area the gallery images are showing no problem, but on the sideways scrolling page .com/sideways on page 4 it's not showing the gallery image like the div is missing(it's not), but if you click on one of the links it will pull up a blank. It also will not scroll past page 4 to page 5(or if you move the gallery area to say, page 2, it won't scroll any further either). Like the script for the gallery area is interfering with the sideways scrolling script. Please ignore the design on the site as it is just there so i can see how everything reads.

Is there a way to ensure that only the first image in my image slider shows while the page is loading? Currently all of the images appear stacked on the page until the page has finished loading.

I've used the cycle plugin on several Wordpress sites and it works great, except that when I run it the background is visible between transitions. Instead of a smooth fade between images, there is a long pause between images. Even when I use the default values, there is still a noticeable delay between the slides.

I'm trying this Cycle Plugin, but whenever I load, lets say I have 5 images in the rotation pool, they all show up (briefly) whenever the page reloads, and then they dissapear (starting the rotation). Is there any way to avoid this? The images I'm using are 960 x 220, so it pretty much fills the screen before it hides.

I am trying to incorporate Lightbox2's image gallery script into my site but I'm having difficulty.Here's where I'm accessing the script from: http:[url]....
The image thumbs are showing up but the larger images are not. I changed the 'body onload' html tag to window.onload as I'm using two different javascripts on this page and I don't want them to conflict.I've also added initLightbox() so I don't know what's wrong! Is there just an issue with the images or is there something wrong with the script.

What I'm looking to do is have a folder of images that I have show up on my website.I'm also looking to pull from this folder up to 6 or 7 times on the same page w/ randomized pictures that do not repeat.Finally, I'm looking to be able to size and name these images based on which image randomly pulls. b/c it's not grabbing the images.

I have to do a slideshow with images of different widths... am using cycle plugin, which I like very much... I am trying to make different images hover over a table of sliced images when you mouse over a particular image. ex. mouse over image 1 = have image 1.1 hover over entire table of images in spot A; mouse over image 2 = have image 2.2 hover over entire table of images in spot B....ect. what i have so far only allows me to mouse over image 1 and have image 1.1 hover over entire table in spot A. Any time i try to move forward with more div's on other images it just jacks everything up.

I´ve just launch my website-portfolio, well it´s not yet the final version but it is almost and despite I am satisfied with the final result I´ve detected a really strange bug that only happens sometimes. The thing is when the first introduction Slide appears (the one with the hand-made drawings), sometimes the images shrink from the normal size to small tiny images. This doesn´t happen always and if you refresh the page it disappears.

However i am having trouble saving the xmlhttprequest to a file to use later in an array. Now my image gallery is working properly but problem is that the speed of scrolling images if normal in firefox, but in internet explorer it is slow, and in google chrome it is very fast , Sir how to resolve this problem

I prefer jQuery over flash and not sure how to tackle this, so please advise as best you can. Trying to create a site that allows for images to go full browser and then have the ability to have the other images slide in based on a click.
I also want to float a menu that will allow it to pull in other media (video, that would slide in the same way). The best example I can share is this: http://j.mp/5U79i1 What he is using is flash based (slideshowpro director and slideshow pro for flash). Not interested in flash for this personal project.
