Apr 6, 2007My website uses a very tall iframe to display catalog pages from an external website. I'm using iframes here to make it look like the external catalog pages are on my webpages.
The problem is that when a visitor goes to my page, scrolls down to view all the contents inside the iframe, and then clicks a link inside the bottom of the iframe to goto the next page, that next catalog page will load inside the iframe, but the visitor will still be looking at the bottom of the iframe on my website, and thus has to scroll up to the top of my website to see the top of the iframe's contents.

How can I make it so when someone clicks a link inside the iframe, that the page with the iframe automatically scrolls to the top appearing as if the whole website has refreshed?
Show Pdf Files From A Server Location As Links On A Webpage?
Oct 2, 2009I am looking for a javascript code to display pdf files/links which are on a server onto a webpage. We are using an Oracle application and a javascript code can be embedded in it.
These pdf files will be generated everyday and going forward we will have almost 300+ files in a year. I tried using <a href="res/folderA/folderB/filename.pdf">Report for 10/01/2009</a> and it works fine. I could create 300+ links but most of the links would be dead since the pdf has not been generated for future dates and I don�t want to show dead links.
Can I show the pdf links/files dynamically? Like show only those files with links which are there on the server? The pdf files will be generated Mon-Fri and the naming convention for the PDF file would be MM-DD-YYYY-filename.pdf. Would it be possible to show the reports grouped by months? Getting the month from the file name and when someone clicks on that month then it shows only those files which have been generated in that month.
I tried using below code to get file names from a folder. It works fine on my local but doesn�t work on the server. But then it�s supposed to show only file names and not links :(

Also one more trivial question, I looked at the source code of the application and then saw that images used in that application are being called using href and location is under /res folder, where in the code is this specified? Pointer to that folder? What if I want to show some files/images which are not under /Res folder, where do I specify the location?

Second question, When the slide show gets to the last image, after the last image all photos disappear and it resets itself changing the format of the webpage. The comments boxes are in iframes and load an html file on the same domain. There are multiple posts/boxes on each page. I need a javascript that will only run the append script when the posts are written and appear on the page. So in non js language, I'm looking for this:
if div id post#5 appears on the page, show the iframe that contains the comments box that goes with post number 5. else don't show it.

1. I start the iframe with style:display:none
2. I have a div that wraps the iframe
3. When the iframe is fully loaded a method is called from the iframe 'removeDivs', I change the div to be invisble with style:display:none and I set the iframe to be visible with stle:display:""
4. The problem: Because the div wraps the iframe, after changing the style of the iframe its stay invisible, the property I set doesn't affect.

I tried using "iframes" and am facing cross domain issues.

I wanted to add a button saying "More information" at which point, a div would appear and load the associated link for that search result within an iframe within the newly appeared div. I've been able to get a div appear and disappear on button click but, I couldn't get it to dynamically load an iframe on click with the associated search results link.

After clicking the link, a loading faded icon appears on top of Welcome Image covering that Welcome Image with Webpages, it's like popping to the center of the page. Aug 14, 2009I'd like to resize an iframe into which different (same domain) pages of differing heights are loaded. I can do a first-time resize no problem. It's the subsequent reloads that need to pass back their height to the parent page There seem to be lots of solutions for that around, but few I can see for resizing each time the iframe reloads. One is described here on another board [URL] but unfortunately the test page is no longer around (or indeed the site), so the full code is no longer available there.
