View 1 RepliesI have a page with a IFRAME in it. I want to pass some html content from the main page to the IFRAME page, so i used insertAdjacentHTML in IE and it worked fine. But it didnt work in Netscape.
I searched the net and found out the alternative methods, but they are working fine if i want to transfer the html content within that page. How to transfer the html content to the Iframes page.
I am writing an extension to a third party application. this
application generates code dynamically using insertAdjacentHTML(). I
want to execute my function whenever the insertAdjacentHTML is called.
Does insertAdjacentHTML() fire any event that i can handle and execute
my function? or is there any other solution?
I have html page with iframe.
parent form is ... <form action="<!$MG_REQ>" method="post" id="VNOS" name="VNOS" ..>
<iframe name="ifrm" id="ifrm" ...>
iframe form is <form action="<!$MG_REQ>" method="post" id="DELO" name="DELO" ... >
Now (i use iframe document ) ... I want to check if some elements in iframe have any value.
for example ... this field is in iframe
<input type="text" class="inbox" name="VD" id="VD" size="08" maxlength="03" value="aa"/>
So what is the JS code to check the value?! If I try standard way like
"document.getElementById("STRM").value" .. this is not working ....
I know how to set value from main form to iframe "top.frames['ifrm'].document.getElementById('IZBR_STATUS').value = box[box.selectedIndex].value;" ... but If I am on iframe document I can't check value when I submit iframe ...
Is it possible to get the contents of an iframe (I need a method that
allows me to get the generated HTML code of an XML file that was
transformed by an XSL file)?
I have this page below which I run locally that is created dynamically: [URL]
I need a piece of javascript to focus on the captcha as shown in the image inside the green box. At this minute I have this which doesn't work all that great for some reason but it gets it to the general area...
if (( document.URL.indexOf("cast_skills") != -1 ) || ( document.URL.indexOf("security_prompt") != -1 ) || ( document.URL.indexOf("joinraid") != -1 )){
if ( document.forms.length > 0 ) {
document.forms[0].elements[1].focus();
}
}
As I said this does the job to some extent however it does not leave the focus in a perfect position so that the captcha is readable and the text box visible to type in, as illustrated in the red box in the above image.
I need an iFrame element that will have fixed dimensions but it some contentintroduces a vertical scrollbar. I would like to find out what the real (usable) area dimension is and resize iFrame whenever new content is loaded.I was googling for some time butJNewbieP.S.The question is: How to find out workspace dimensions? or How to find out if iFrame has scrollbar and if it does then what its width is?

I have a parent document which has an iframe loaded in it. The iframe has an textfield element. I want to access this textfield element from the parent document. I have tried the following. But that doesn't work.
(from the parent)
window.frames['frame01'].document.getElementById('idname')
I always get as null.
I need to access an element of my top window from inside an IFrame within that window.
I tried:
parent.MYFRAME.document.getElementById("LHS");
and i get a "Access Denied"
is there a way to do this?
I'm working on a project and within a document I have content being loaded into an iframe. When a user clicks on an item in the iframe, a pop-up div is loaded using the facebox plugin but it's obviously contained by the iframe. Is there any way that I can pull that element out of the iframe into the parent document? Or at least position it so it looks like it's part of the parent document and not the iframe? My reasoning for this is sizing and positioning. I want to expand the size of the facebox div and position it over top of some of the parent document elements but, since it's within the iframe, I'm limited to the size of the iframe and positioning is limited to being within the iframe.

I'd like to resize an iframe into which different (same domain) pages of differing heights are loaded. I can do a first-time resize no problem. It's the subsequent reloads that need to pass back their height to the parent page There seem to be lots of solutions for that around, but few I can see for resizing each time the iframe reloads. One is described here on another board [URL] but unfortunately the test page is no longer around (or indeed the site), so the full code is no longer available there. This one works, almost, for me: [URL] it does resize for me, but not quite sufficiently high each time - about 90% of what is required: [URL] Is there a way to add on sufficient extra margin that scrollbars no longer appear?
View 8 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to resize an iframe dynamically so that you never get the scroll bar and essentially hide that there is an iframe? Better integration really.Basically I want to iframe a forum into my site so that the design down the sides and top which my friend does using iweb are not messed with.We have a central area which can be longer or shorter depending on the forum.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a page A and inside it I have an iframe B. B points to another php file that shows a form (so basically in the iframe we see a form). When I submit the form, I call to another page C that verifies the fields of the form and if they are ok I redirect to page X, if not I redirect to page Y. The problem is that I see page X and Y inside the iframe, and I want to see them in the parent page.
