Is it possible to submit multiple links all at the same time using Javascript? I check all over the web and can't find any examples anywhere.
I would like to click on a button and submit to google, yahoo, msn, etc all at the same time. Like someone physically click on [url], [url], [url], so on.

Firefox works a dream, but in IE, Google Chrome, Safari and Avant javascript does not run at all. Looking at the code it may be the body 'onload' that is not firing?the javascript

here's another newbie to jQuery. I just watched some tutorials and did a search over here but could not find what I'm looking for. Here's what I want to do. I have a div (#layer1) with some content in it which I want to hide for something like 3000ms and then fade in in about 1400ms. All by itself so not triggered by button actions or anything.
Now I understand that jQuery does not have a real delay command so I have to fake something with maybe the $fadeTo("3000,0") followed by the fadeIn command? Is that the correct way to do it?
What's the javascript to change the window to hide the location bar, toolbar, etc onLoad?
View 8 Replies View RelatedThe ones I find on Google all consist of white backgrounds that fade out to reveal an image... What I have at the moment are thumbnails that have hide/show div behaviors... But they look really boring at the moment and make my site boring... How I could make a png (a thumbnail border) fade in on the thumbnail whenever the mouse goes over it...

I have loaded DIVs that by default should be hidden as the page loads. The problem is that the content is visible while it is loading and after it has finished loading, the DIVs set themselves as hidden. Is there a way to set this script so that the content is not visible for those first few seconds?

I found http://developer.apple.com/internet/...les/popup.html, but that isn't exactly that I want.
I need some guides or examples for create Divs with DOM, Css... and Show/Hide with DOM too. Google Calendar have Quick Add div with an input into it. I want to do that.

I'm having 3 small issues with the page as it is.
First, I'd like to hide the Google Player until an onclick event actually occurs.
Second, at the moment, there's only an onclick for the image maps over the tracks list, and no href, which means the cursor never changes to the finger cursor, letting folks know there's a link there.
Last, when you click on a link, I'd like to the page to move its focus back to the top of the page (not reload, obviously). Instead, it just stays where you are, and the user has to manually scroll to see the full album art graphic.
Here are the relevant parts of the code:

I've seen several older posts saying there is no way to hide menu bars
in IE unless you call window.open().
Is this still the case?
I'm interfacing with a app that I don't have control over. The idea is
that users log into my app do whatever and I then populate form tags
with user id and password and submit the form to the other app. This
logs the user in but the called app is used for reporting and the
status bar, menu bar and tool bar take up a lot of vertical space.
is there a way to get the available size inside the window?
technically a kind of otherHeight - (toolbarsH + scrollbarsH + etc).
I just have one index.html page with NO links NO pics. Just a simple
html page.
Whenever I open that page I want to eliminate few things like:
I don't want scroll bar -> I have a solution <body scroll="no">
I don't want status bar -> ? need solution ?
I don't want toolbar bar -> ? need solution ?
I don't want menu bar -> ? need solution ?
I JUST want the title bar, address bar and the IE window.
I am developing a web application in asp.net. In this application, i would like to disable all other tool bar other than menu bar. If you know more about the same. Please guide me to proceed further?
Note: It should work for all major browser such as IE, netscape, Mazilla, opera....
I am building a site for use on a local server and I want it so that when you launch the file it will it automatically remove the toolbars.
View 1 Replies View Relatedclient wants for a window with no toolbars to open (technical and 'esthetical' reasons) after the window, user clicks on, is being closed.
I told them about security settings in browsers and no cross-browsers solutions and all of that we know, but they have told me they have seen that before and how then the annoying pop-up windows work? . . .
I'm creating a web page that contains a flash presentation. I
currently have it resizing the user's web page and placing it on the
screen using this script:
onLoad="javascript:moveTo(((screen.availWidth*.5)-500),((screen.availHeight*.5)-300));
window.resizeTo(1000,550); ">
I'd really like the toolbars to be gone as well (cleaner user
experience). Since there are a lot of browsers these days that block
pop-up windows, I cannot really use one of them safely, so I'm looking
for another way to get rid of the tool bars and such, so that the user
only sees my presentation.
I do not know any javascript, so can somebody help me with a simple script. I would like to launch a web page, which will have no menu bar and no toolbars. How can I do that?
View 5 Replies View RelatedIn Yahoo mail, I click the Inbox link and see my messages. If I view
source, I don't have HTML which contains the URL of each message. The
source HTML contains javascripting and framesets. This is different from
what I am seeing.
If I right click on a message link and select "copy shortcut", I can paste
this link into my browser. This brings me to my message. If I view source,
once again, it is javascript and framesets. How do I get at the HTML that
is making all the tables and contains the images I'm seeing?
Accessing IE DOM is a possibility but won't that just give me access to the
javascripting and framsets since that is all the client has (remember what
is seen in view souce)? I know the HTML has to be accessible somehow.
Otherise, you wouldn't see it...right?
I'm having a hard time figuring out why the onload event is not being
called for the frameset window in the following simple example. It is
being called for each of the component frames. Code:
I wander what gets loaded the fastest (1-2 or 3) in what succession:
<head>
<script type="text/javascript">
function andAction() {
// doing stuff
}
</script>
</head>
<body onload="andAction();">
<script type="text/javascript">andAction()</script></body>
just in the head and nothing more
This I am sure off:
<head>
<script type="text/javascript">
window.onload = function andAction() {
// doing stuff
}
</script>
</head>
<script type="text/javascript">andAction()</script></body>
just in the head and nothing more (should be 1)
Third and last which is faster:
body onload or window.onload
