Handling With Clock - Take Value Of Current System Time In One Textbox In Another Textbox
Dec 31, 2010
I have two textfield in html forms I want to take value of current system time in one textbox in another text box I need manupulation(subtract 30 minutes) on times stored in textbox and want to display result in another textbox. is it possible through javascript?
I am trying to check the user enter time with current system. If user enter the time less than the current system time then I want to display the alert box. But the code is not working. Here is the code
<html> <head> <title>test</title> <script type="text/javascript"> var d = new Date(); var curr_hour = d.getHours(); var curr_min = d.getMinutes(); [Code].....
Below is the script and form fields I am working with. What I want to do is sum the two textbox fields and have the result show in the total textbox. The code works fine and the total textbox is updated with the value of form1.basic. The problem occurs when I add the "+ parseInt(document.form2.supporter.value)" code in the script section.
I want to insert the time into a textbox how do I do that, I'm just learning javascript so I'm not sure of how to set it up!!
Oh and also I have two checkboxes in my form and if one is checked i want to make it so the other cannot be checked. How would I do that without naming the two checkboxes the same. I cant use radio buttons because the program it is interfacing with does not have radio buttons.
HTML Code: <html> <body> <script type="text/javascript"> var WinNetwork = new ActiveXObject("WScript.Network"); document.write(WinNetwork.userName); </script> [Code]...
I have two questions. First i want to display (WinNetwork.userName) NT LOGIN into the textbox. Is there any where i can link both Javascript and textbox. Secondly, when i open the html have i first get warning the internet explorer page im trying to open have activeX. Is there any where i can stop that popup aleart from being displayed.
<script type="text/javascript"> $(function () { $('input[id *=txtAmt]').blur(function () { var txtBoxThatChanged = $('How do i get a reference to the textbox that changed?');
[Code]....
In my grid each row has a twin row (not consecutive) the rows each have 1 text box with a name containing txtAmt. When a user enters a value in the text box in a row. I need to put that value in the text box in the twin row. i got the blur function to work on each text box but do not know how to do the rest. I typed a description of the selector in each $().
When I leave the first textbox (taborder 1), I need to check and see if the textbox contains avalue. If it does, then I need to check and see if the second textbox (taborder 2)contains a value. If it doesNOT, then I need to loadthe second textboxwith "100" and highlight (select) the text. I am adding a blur event to all the column one textboxes as they all contain"rawCount" in the id. Here is my blur event code:
$(document).ready(function(){ $('input[id*=rawCount]').bind('blur', function (event) { // Code to go here }); });
What I am trying to do isadd thecode tocheck and update thecolumn two textbox in the corresponding row (same index)to the blur event of the column one textboxes without having to loop the array each time to find the current textbox array position. Since it is adding the blur event, it has to be possible.
I am doing a lottery project in which i have 10 textbox and i want to add contents of each textbox and show result in another textbox say 11th textbox.
I am having the fallowing codes below on jsp page.
I want to add contents of textbox from(n50,n51.....n59) and show result in another textbox named (n60)
My question is that the valus stored in textbox is numeric and when i enter the value in any two of the textbox say named (n50 and n51) then the addition of its value must be seen in the result textbox say (n60) here. it does not wait for another textbox value which is left blank. the result of addition should be displayed simelteneously as i enter the value in text box.
I'm a new java scripter and I'm having trouble with the date and time. Basically when a checkbox is checked, it displays the time in a text box. But since I have multiple check boxes, it changes the time in all the text boxes. How do I have the checkbox linked to the text box. Code:
I have a question regarding textbox properties. In my textbox username I want to happen is when I input a letter for example is "l" all the letter started in "l" in my field username was appear, so that the user can choose what she want to type to lessen the time in typing like in the google search.
If we are going to select a item from list box after selecting it, textbox will be enabled using java script. Suppose we didn't select any item means the textbox should be disabled.
When I upgraded to jQuery 1.7.1 (from 1.5.x), I found that an exception was suddenly thrown on every keydown event on an INPUT type="text". I still get the exception when I remove my change and keyup events. Previously I bound to these elements with .live, but I have the same issue with the new .on, so I don't think this problem is even related to my bindings.
The exception is as follows (from the custom WebKit frame where my script runs):
This occurs on line 3255 of jquery-dev-1.7.1.js, which reads:
I did some poking around and found that handleObj.origType is "keydown". There is no jQuery.event.special["keydown"] defined, meaning that the first part of the expression evaluates to undefined (there is no such thing as {}.handle). The second part of the expression, handleObj.handler, evaluates to true. The entire expression therefore evaluates to true, which can't be applied as a function.
I have scoured the net and found nearly what I'm looking for, but not exactly, and I don't really know javascript, so trying to piece together bits of code hasn't worked. What I need is the script for a live clock with date and time format exactly as follows: Sunday, 07 June 2009, 24:00:00 (GMT+1).I have two separate files with the following code, which gets me close to what I need: Sun Jun 07 19:05:48 2009 Obviously the time is in the wrong place and it doesn't show GMT+1. These are the scripts:
Code: function update() { time = Date();[code]....
I'm using a javascript-based countdown timer that currently uses the client's system time to calculate the countdown. I assume that this line of code is where this is performed:
Code:
I'm trying to make the script use server time instead as some people may have wrong dates/times set or live in different time zones etc.
So what I did was use a bit of php:
PHP Code:
This gives a result but now the countdown is 30 days off. I am testing on my local xampp server (which also uses system time) so there should be no discrepancy. I also tried adding
Code:
But no difference.
I can post the whole script if required but it is reasonably long.
I want to make a switch statement that will display something different depending on the time of day. Once I saw something like getTime (?), but it relied on the user's clock. I know that you would expect me to at least research getTime so that I'm asking about something more specific, but I don't think it's what I need because I want mine to give the same result regardless of the viewer's time zone or how off thier clock is.
How can I draw a cookie where number of chocolate chips represents the number of seconds and the number of bites represents the number of minutes.
I want to show the passage of time on a clock that looks like items are being added to the display according to the number of seconds and minutes. Maybe using a mouse input aswell
Here is a short javascript for a real time analgoue clock. It is designed to resemble some LCD clocks where the hands "fill" in the dial as they move around the face. You can change to values of the "top" and "left" style attributes to position the clock anywhere on your page.
I'm trying to create a plain-text clock to add to a webpage. I need the clock to display the current UTC+4 time. How do I do this and what code do I need to use?
Im trying to make a personal home page that both shows the time and a random background each refresh using javascript. so far i have managed to get either one or the other to work but not both.i want to know if anyone could try and tell me what is wrong.the files can be found at: http://ihf.lp.pl/narik/index.htmlas you will see if you visit that the random image script works.(if u have slow net, you'll have to be patient the bg image is large)however if u visitat by the name, the index file has the clock working but not the random background. They are both present in the html, but for some reason are not working together.the relevant javascript files within that folder are: randomimage.js & clock.jsthe background images can be found at http://ihf.lp.pl/narik/images/wallpapers/1.jpg (the image names go from 1.jpg through to 17.jpg)
i made this clock and for me in the UK it displays my time, however for people everywhere else in the world it displays their current time, i would like it to display GMTdate only regardless of where you live below is my code:
<script type="text/javascript"> <!-- function updateClock ( )
