Getting The Table Underneath The <h3> Tag "Delivery Rates" To Show In The Right Place
Oct 31, 2010
I'm having trouble getting the table underneath the <h3> tag "Delivery rates" to show in the right place. Also the "Delivery Rates" is not showing either. This is starting down at line 86. I've tried adding <p>/</p> elements as my book mentions but they do not seem to work or rather I'm putting them in the wrong spots(?).
Any good script to display a .jpg in place of a .swf if Flash is disabled. Example: I have index.html as a regular Website with an embedded .swf If this is viewed on a SmartPhone, how can I have a .jpg auto load instead of Flash?
I´m trying to place a javascript navigation menu inside a cell of a table in my page, the problem is that the constructor of the menu object has parameters for menu positioning and size and when the window is rezised the menu stands at the same position and with the same size.
My question is: is there a way to modify those parameters dinamically to match window size, and how is that made, or is there another way to include that menu using a table for page layout.
I have a form with several different text boxes for things like dates, numbers, etc. arranged in a table, each row has the same kind of text boxes for data entry (10 rows probably).
I want to have a separate section above the form where I can toggle a div containing an appropriate error message to appear after the onchange event fires for the text box.
The thing is, I want all the divs with their different text messages to appear in the same place and disappear from the same place above the form instead of different places on the form or web page.
Well, they don't have to be multiple divs, but there are multiple different error messages that should appear depending where the user is typing...
Example: 'wrong format,' 'month must be between 1 and 12,' etc. Of course the messages will be nicer than this.
i need, requires a little extra tweaking. Its a price quote generator (package price x number of pages = price) However if the customer has more pages over a set amount (2000) the package price changes. So the formula becomes (package price x pages (upto 2000) = price + number of pages over 2000 x new package price = Total price. Does that make sense?
So i can do a flat rate with this code but if anyone has suggestions on how to do the rest? I would be eternaly grateful as my head really hurts.
<head> <script type="text/javascript"> function update(){ var price = document.getElementById("Package").value; var pages = document.getElementById("pages").value; var Tprice = (price * pages).toFixed(2) ;
I have a script that tells me the current date and then estimates by how many days it takes to deliver the date it will arrive by. However this currently includes Saturdays and Sundays is there anyway to get it to skip these days? code...
My functions for mouse_move / up / down all control the movement of a box. So you can click a box and move it anyway. It then snaps to an invisible grid. However there are multiple boxes on the screen so if you move it to a spot where another box already resides, then that box needs to swap places. This is what the mouse_over function tries to do. When I click the first box it stores the position of that box that was clicked. If I release the mouse button whilst hoovering over another box I want the other box to take the stored positions of the first box. However what I think is happening is the mouseover function is applying the new position to the box I'm moving, as I guess this is the first layer the mouse is over.Is there anyway I can reference the layer underneath using onmouseover.
Is there a way to create a reflection underneath a div. I have found some bits of css that apply it to an image but I am not too sure it works with a div. Is this possible? If possible I would also like it to be cross browser compatible, is this possible?
If you look here i have a simple one page site with the banner sticking to the top and page anchors scrolling to each area. The problem is that it scrolls it to the top of the page, underneath the banner. Rather than bringing the anchor up below the banner, the back to top one works fine just cannot figure out why the others go to the top of the page. Basically i need to some how tell the js to add the banners height to the top of the browser.
I have two functions, one to show random ads but the second is to show the "ads" in a larger image in a different place when mouseover. Although this code works i now want to adapt it to show a slightly different picture. Here is the code i am using and a presume the problem lies with the showIt(this.src) as i dont want it to show the same picture.
I use a Time Date Picker Javascript code [URL]. It works fine with a placement problem. When you click one of the last pair input fields on the page, a drop-down list will appear from the input field. In my case, the drop-down list shows on the bottom of a page instead. I can't find the code controls the location of the list.
I am trying to hide/show table when hide/show button is pressed
Problem: The code works fine when I remove 'slow' from line 10. But with 'slow' in line 10 content of toggleButton doesnt change from Hide to Show when pressed.
I would like to add some javascript to show/hide a certain row of a table. The first row of the table contain the hyperlink that calls the javascript the second row is the one i want to show/hide with the javascript in a toggle fashion.
the problem is a know very little javascript and have become incredibly frustrated because i went ahead thinking it was going to be like C. its not.
I know i can use these lines to do the actual work:
but I don't think i can use a getElementById exactly because i want to reference the element via its relationship to the hyperlink that calls the javascript, i know this can be done. You see there will be several tables on one page and i want to be able to toggle each one independently; hopefully with the same bit of javascript.
I have a table with three columns (and about 20+ rows). The third column has embedded javascript to show/hide additional information. It works, however when I try to show/hide information on a different table row (except the top), only the top row opens/shows.
Here's my script: <script language="javascript"> function toggle() { var ele = document.getElementById("toggleText"); var text = document.getElementById("displayText"); if(ele.style.display == "block") { ele.style.display = "none"; text.innerHTML = "Show"; }else { ele.style.display = "block"; text.innerHTML = "Hide"; }} </script>
And here's my HTML: </head><body> <h2>Beaus CD Collection</h2> <table border="1"> <tr bgcolor="#99CCCC"> <th>Artist:</th> <th>Album Title:</th> <th>More Information:</th></tr> <xsl:for-each select="CATALOG/CD"><tr> <td><xsl:value-of select="ARTIST"/></td> <td><xsl:value-of select="TITLE"/></td><td>
I created a javascript function to show/hide element id. In the code, the detail row will be show when its header row is clicked and the detail row will be hiiden after the hyperlink is clicked.
How to show/hide the detail row whenever its header row is clicked? For example, if I clicked header row #2, it will show detail row #2 and hide detail rows #1 and #3.
Is there a way in Javascript or Jquery to return an array of all objects underneath a certain point, ie. the mouse position. Basically, I have a series of images which link to various web pages but I have a large semi transparent image positioned over the top of the other images. I want to find the href of the background image that the mouse pointer clicks over.
have set up a simple slide show within a table to present as redesign option on home page for a new client. The SS is working fine but the rest of the content that follows in rows beneath are not showing when the page loads. They do appear when you hit refresh. what's blocking the load. Here's the link to the test page:[URL]
Note that these issues are specific to IE8, and I am using for the purpose of creating a program which works in IE, FF, Chrome, so I've only tested my solutions in those 3. I wasn't sure whether to start this as a question (as I am asking for an easier solution) or if I note it as a problem or discussion.
Any time I've used .show(x) where x > 0 on anything inside of a table, I get this "flicker", which has been mysterious to me for a while. As I need the row to expand it's height when the object grows, so I can't use "position:absolute;", which I found as a suggestion elsewhere (and does work...if the space is already allocated).
[Code]...
I hope this helps anyone who is having the IE "flicker" issue, and I hope even more that someone out there can give an easier solution!
I have a query regarding the hide/show of the cells in a table.
The first column is 'Yes and No' options using combo box, 2nd option is 'input field', 3rd column is also 'Yes and No' option using combo box, and 4th option is also 'input field'.
What I want is to make a table using JAVASCRIPT, in which if i select 'No' from the first row first column, i want to hide the remaining 3 cells of the first row. Otherwise if i select 'yes' from the first row first column i want to show all the 3 other options of the first row. Also in between if I select 'No' from the first row third column i want to hide the first row fourth column cell. Selecting 'yes' from the first row third column will show the first row fourth column.
I want apply the same setting of hide and show cells into the remaining columns also.
By selecting 'no' from first column -> hide other corresponding cells of the row by selecting 'yes' from the first column -> show other corresponding cells of the row
AND ALSO
By selecting 'no' from third column -> hide fourth cell of the corresponding/same row by selecting 'yes' from the third column -> show fourth cell of the corresponding/same row
