I am a JQuery newbie, and was asked to use jquery to do something like this: when clicking hyperlink A, it actually clicks hyperlink B? How to accomplish this using jquery?
I have a hyperlink that is draggable (using Prototype's "new Draggable()" construct). I want to be able to drag the link without actually 'clicking' the link once i end the drag. Is there a way to disable this event? Code:
I have a cfm file that has a url that directs the page to another cfm pageI would like on clicking the url to call a coldfusion function befor going to the next pageexampleI have a component mycomponent
I'm almost finished with this app for XUL / HTML Table Generation, and i have a really strange problem...The HTML strings in the Arrays can be changed, and the HTML file saved, and the HTML page reloaded, and the changes will render.However, i have one array, no matter what i change the HTML strings to, it refuses to render the changes made to the HTML strings.It's quite confusing...the array in question is
I have a fairly simple question regarding a simple form i am creating.
In the form, there is to be one "input", which is a "download" link.
When the user clicks that link, it prompts a "Save Picture" dialog box, where the user can download the image to their computer.
What I want to do is create some sort of form validation, where in the "Save Picture" dialog box, if the user selects save and saves it to his/her computer, he/she is brought to a thank you page. If he/she clicks "cancel" nothing happen and the page should return false back to its orginal state. Code:
I am wanting to be able to swap out any of them to make them 'primary' this works for the first click, but after the first click it makes every div id and input name the same as the first that was clicked.It's also not working AT all if i click on the bottom link first, then a link above it.Top-down works, bottom-up doesn't.
I work for a very large company that has zero communications between IT and the employees...so there is very little possibility of having any code changed.I need to use a web based system that submits orders for my department. The problem is i must order by "task number". I could have 20-30 task numbers so to complete the order I need to go to my company's page and fill out 15 form fields and submit for each task code. It is a terrible pain. 14 of the 15 fields are the same for each order... only the task code changes.
I am trying to make a gui for clients to edit a php page that displays html and javascript.
I want the user to be able to move html elements around and even edit it like add effects like fade in and out etc.
Then after all the changes I want to overwrite the existing php file that does this for that user. how can you make such changes and then save it to a file?
It's an html / javascript editor but using a gui instead of allowing them to directly touch the code. It would be a security risk if I allow such a thing. So I need to program a interface that would make such changes and save them to file.
Like how can you delete and add new javascript code to the file?
I was just wondering whether there is a way to hide an element on another page after clicking on a button?Basically, I have a login page, and for testing purposes, I want it so when you click a button, it runs some javascript in a file called ajax.util.js, and I have a jQuery file attached to the HTML file as well URL..., and I am using Google App Engine, which im not sure whether thats relevant. I tried using the show and hide functions provided by the jQuery file, but no luck, i want to hide an element which is a link with ID admintools. I have also tried getting the element by ID and changing the display style to none and hidden but still no luck. Im not sure whether its only possible to hide elements in the login.html page.
What I want it to do basically is click on the submit button in the login page, it will then run a javascript function which redirects you to index.html (which i am doing using window.location), and then hides an element in the index.html page (id=admintools).
I'm working on a simple website in which I'm required to use two types of forms input on a webpage. I have decided to make a simple quiz which will be designed.Is this possible in a simple way? Sounds quite straight-forward.Is it possible to design a radio button which, depending on the choice, the related-text will appear underneath on the same page? So if they select 'A' then paragraph 'A' will show, if they select 'C' then paragraph 'C' will appear (with the rest hiding)..
provide me with code to make a collapsible menu? What I'm looking for is a vertical menu, that will open up the sub-categories upon a mouseover. Clicking on the menu item will bring them to the specific page. Oh, and this might not matter, but I'd prefer if I was able to style the menu to fit with my site theme.
I'll admit right away that this is for a homework assignment, but I really did try to solve it myself before I decided to post here. The instructions are to have a confirm box pop up when links with the HTML class value "external" are clicked. If the user clicks "OK" they should be directed to the linked page. If they click "Cancel" they should not be directed anywhere.Here's my code:
function checkClass() { var links = document.getElementsByTagName("a"); for ( var i = 0 ; i < links.length ; i++ ) {
I have the following form, that allows the user to add text to a form field When they click on an image, this works fine, but I need to slightly change the text that is added to the form. Code:
Let's suppose a user enters his message " My name is John" in a textarea. and he likes to modify by adding <b> tag before the word "John" after he enters "My name is John".
In order to add <b> tag in front of the word "John", he should put his mouse before "John" and enter <b>. but instead of entering <b>, I like to make the user to click the button "<b>", then <b> is automatically created just before the word "John" in the textarea.
Of course </b> will be needed later, but forget about </b> for simplification.
In short, I like to make the button "<b>" , in order to add <b> tag in front of "John" after entering "My name is John."
I've a problem: I need to retrieve (in javascript) the soure HTML code from a url without loading the page then put the HTML source code in a string variable to manipulate it. From this variable I need to get all the links to perform some operations.
I found the following code on a web site. It creates a small frame inside a web page. The code is too advanced for me to understand. It does the job for me. What I would like to do is insert a small table in the frame. I don't know at what point and how to add the HTML code. I would also like to add a link to a CSS file.
function move_box(an, box) { var cleft = 0; var ctop = 0; var obj = an;
I 'd like to know if there is any way to load a file with javascript and print its contents to my page. More specifically I have a file named page1.html which contains a javascript. I want to make this script load the file, named page2.html and print its contents somewhere in my first page. Is this possible and how?
