The referrers information (cesar017) should be prefilled automatically in a form field on another page than the index page. This means the visitor first can look around on the other pages of the site and then go to the page with the form.
I dont use a database at this moment, I only want a certain field automatically prefilled with the referrers info from the URL for ex : <input type= hidden -or text- name= partner id= partner value= ""/> In this case the field should have the value=cesar017
I understood this can be solved with Javascript or PHP and cookies, but I nearly dont know anything about this and Dreamweaver has not automated this function.

Is it possible to read a web page on some web site that contains a form. Then identify the fields in the forms. Then fills the fields with my data. and then submits the form as it submitted normally. I need to do this to automate for my final proyect , i need to fill many web pages remotly

For example first field asks the user if they drive, if the user selects "NO" the form doesn't change. If they select "YES", another field appears with different makes to chose from. If they change back to "NO" the second field dissapears again.

I would like to set up a form with multiple radio boxes in a table. The first row containing two selections, second containing 2..... Once the 1st row/column is selected, the 1st row/2nd column automatically displays the information from the first selection.
I am not necessarily looking for exact code on how to do this, just reference points to go to, and preferably suggestions on the best(meaning quickest) language to do this with.
Let me preface this by saying that I have ZERO experience with Ajax, and have simply copied this code from a blog elsewhere. What is shown below ties to a php file that I developed for a search function on our site. As the user enters their search term(s) in the text input field, the div below is populated with potential results through AJAX. I get all that.
However, I'd like to extend this a bit more. I'd like to enable to user to click the Enter key to follow the URL of the top search result automatically, without having to move their mouse and click on it.
Since I'm using PHP to generate the actual URL, I'm sure I can just send this back as a variable via AJAX, but with my lack of understanding, I thought I'd poke around here for some assistance. Can someone show me how to tweak the code below to accomplish what I'm looking for?

I'm less concerned about getting the Enter key to perform the submit than I am about passing the URL variable back to the form via AJAX. I've seen lots of examples of getting the Enter key to behave this way, I just didn't want to muddy up the original code above.
So I am trying to make a form that will eventually take the user to a specified link. It is a form that uses drop down menus. I based this off of someone elses code (with permission :)), but it shows everything <= user input. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to make it only show only one of the next options.here is the JS code:

I have a form that collects information about up to 5 items. I would
like the user to be able to select from a drop down menu how many items
for which they want to compare information, and then have the form
change the number of input fields accordingly.
In other words, if the user selects enter info for 3 items, then input
fields for only 3 items are shown, if they change it to 4 items, then a
fourth column shows up in the table with the appropriate input fields.
I'm just starting up in web design and I have an interesting challenge that I'm hoping can be solved w/java script. I have a site with an application form. When the form is to be submitted, the form data needs to be emailed to the correct person to handle that particular application. However, that can't be determined by anything specific in the form. It can only be determined by the link that they clicked on to get to the form. I really don't want to have 22 identical forms with just a different EmailTo addie, which is what the previous site developer did. Someone please tell me this can be done w/java script? I'm quite a newbie at Javascript. I have a calculation form with 3 textboxes and the answer label. It's to calculate wire mesh and the first two textboxes can be the same value. What i want to do is use javascript to automatically populate the 2nd textbox with whatever the user enters into the first. Then if needed the user can change the value in that 2nd textbox.

I need to auto fill a form from a email link from a online ticket system. the problem is i have the ticket system in a iframe on my site. so when they click the link it goes on just the ticket system webpage. with out the iframe so i made a page point to it with my site around it. but when the email is click it loads my site and page but dosent fill in the forum. unlike the one with out the iframe. here is a example of the email link. What I am looking to do is auto-populate a number of forms based on what a user chooses as a starting date.
For example:
If a user enters 12/12/2009 I want the other fields to automatically populate with the next 2 weeks (12/13/2009, 12/14/2009, 12/15/2009 etc.)
Anyone have a useful script that I can use given that these fields are formatted as dates?
The idea is to save time by only having to fill in the first date in the timesheet.

what i want to do is, if the user clicks No for for any input (p1 through p5), then I want all the other inputs below to automatically fill in with No as well. Similarly, if the user clicks Yes for any answer, I want all the inputs above that answer to fill in with Yes.
i'd also like to know how, if input 1 is a set of radio buttons, and one of them is selected, you can use that result to fill in input 2 in a certain way.

struggling with figuring out how to fill certain types of forms. Here's a SMALL SNIPPET of a form. Parts of it would be VERY convenient if it could be automatically filled when page is loaded. Autofilling text boxes is easy enough. But I need the file box to be auto-filled with "C:/example.txt" when the page loads.
NOTE: typing value="C:/example.txt" does not work .

i can only find a wat by copy the full document.getElementById(inpName[0]).xxx but i loke a small clean that everyone understand.
One of my datepickers is set to default to yesterday's date. Is there any way to have it automatically enter that date in the textbox so that the user does not have to pick a date unless she wants to change it?
