what i am trying to do is really simple; however, i am still new at code, and i have google -earched endlessly and have not found the answer to this one.All i want to do is embed a flash file into my web page. The user would click on a button and the animation plays once, and stops.In my mind it should just be a javascript function that allows the embeded flash file to play when the link is clicked!

Everything works great - the popup appears with the video,background greyed.But, when I close the panel,the audio keeps playing in IE 7 & 8. Netscape is fine.I went and tried what Google recommended, but it still continues.

I'm trying to grab a variable from a URL and dynamically embed it into HTML code. So for instance, if I own the site test.com and I enterideo=bunny.mp4&height=720&width=480",I want the returned page to be an embedded video of bunny.mp4 at the height and width specified. I've looked at the show_ads.js file Google uses to display Ads but to be honest I've not found it easy to decipher. I've also read that using a <script> tag to load a JavaScript file from my site is simpler than trying to do do this with an AJAX request. it discusses returning JSON rather than HTML.
BTW I know I could use an iframe to achieve something similar but this won't give me the result I need because the content coming from my site will contain a link back to my site and I want the link to be registered as an inbound link to my site for SEO reasons.

I am using the youtube chromeless player and embeding videos with loadVideoById() method problem is that videos with an id that contains an underscore or dash dont play although they play in the normal player. I also tried replacing with a hex value in querystring i.e (%5f) but that did not work I also tried loadVideoByUrl() method with several urls but still they don't load. here is my code

I need to embed a mov file in a HTML file, the problem I found is that the Quicktime player is window mode and I need it windowless, I check not found a property to set it windowless, for windows media player exist the following property:

This is a follow up with a new question from a post I did last week. [Code]... I have an experimental website where I have music recordings. url removed When you open the site, each page uses a piano keyboard graphic to navigate between pages. If you click on a key that says "Jukebox" it will open a small window and continuously play tunes. The way the jukebox works basically is, when you click the jukebox key it calls an html file which contains the information needed to play the first song. When that song is finished it calls another html file with the information to play the second song and so on. Each html file contains an embedded Windows Media Player in it.
I would like to give visitors the option to use the QuickTime player. So I can have one key in the keyboard graphic that say “Jukebox – for Windows Media Players” and then another key in the graphic that would say “Jukebox – for QuickTime players”. I would like to use both keys to call the same html file. So, in the file I would like to:
1. Determine which key was pressed in the graphic. (how to send a parameter from the keyboard graphic file indicating which key was pressed) 2. With that parameter I would then like to invoke the appropriate player. (how to receive that parameter)

Trying to click (onClick) an animated gif image of an on/off switch to start a second animation which is located on a different location on the web-page (a 7-frame animation of a generator with moving parts) immediately followed by a random image selection function placing an image in a 3rd location on the page (next to the generator image). The random images are supposed to look like the result of the generator animation---the item that �pops out� of the generator.
We thought the process to achieve this would be an �OnClick� on the on/off switch-animated-gif to start two javascript functions (generato animation function & random image function). To further complicate matters, we are doing this website in iWeb. We�re using iWeb SEO Tool to add the javascript to the header and HTML snippet in iWeb to place the HTML code. Not sure we�re actually doing the snippet right though---is it supposed to relate to the images---or is it separate? When the gifs are place on the iweb page, they work in the browser upon page load---the �on-click� & the random image function are NOT working...so we know we�ve done something(s) wrong.
We�re thinking that we�re probably missing some code that describes where the 3 different image-spots are on the page (image #1 is the on/off switch gif, image#2 is the generator gif, image#3 is the generator output.png)....or just aren�t coding the string of functions correctly---or maybe our strategy for achieving this is just no correct (?).Here is the code we have tried that didn�t work.

I have a web page with two forms, when I click the button on one of the forms, the onclick event goes to a javascript that emails the first form and then the second form. This is correct, this is the way I want this to work. It's simple, it's easy, it works!
However, it only works in FireFox and Internet Explorer, it will not work in Google Chrome browser.
I've spent many hours trying lots of various ways to implement this so I'm not interested in speculating about possible solutions that might work, I've already tried too many of those.
Also, it needs to work this way, not combining the forms, etc.
Does anyone have any tried and tested solutions that work with Chrome? code...

Has anyone ever had problems with changing the src of an embed after
the page has loaded?.
I have had this problem 2 times now and in result have had to actually
reinitialise the embed on the page with its new src. Is there not a way
round this which will save alot less time and alot less coding.
