Each Thumbnail Would Need Their Own Bit Of Code That Calls On A Function Related To The Full Size Image Url?
Mar 12, 2009
I am trying to make a site for a photgrapher where the user see's thumbnails of his pictures, then when the pictures are clicked on I want them to open up in a dynamic content box.I can only assume that this is JS/AJAX coding that does this.I have found the following bit of code that does almost this. Except it performs the function on page load and not on mouse click and it opens one of two pages randomly.
var interstitialBox={
//1) list of files on server to randomly pick from and display
displayfiles: ['samplecontent.htm', 'samplecontent2.htm'],[code]...
from what I can tell, each thumbnail would need their own bit of code that calls on a function related to the full size image url.
I'd like to implement something like what's found on [url] game description pages (when you click on a screenshot's thumbnail you zoom to the full-size screenshot). I'm currently in the process of stripping down their code to the bare minimum so I could try to understand how this can be done and then make my own. But this could potentially take a lot more time than needed. Are there any tutorials that I could read on this, instead?
i'm making a clothing website and i was just wondering.. if i have a bunch of thumbnail sized images on the page atm, how would i go about so if people put their mouse over the thumbnail, it would load the full sized T-shirt? I obviously have the images on my computer and host for the Thumbnails and the Real-image sized shirts.
im trying to make it so that when clicking thumbnails it will change the full screen background to its respective picture along with continuing its automatic slideshow
www.petpawfurry.com is the website in which im working on.
also, is there anyway to make the slider, slide to the right, instead of fading in and out?
I have a page, which is actually a photo gallery with a table having 3 rows. First row shows the full screen size pic. Second row displays the Caption of that image and third row shows thumbnail view of six different images and the previous and next button.this is the sample layout:
<table> <tr> <td colspan=8>
[code]...
My requirement is whenever the user click on the thumbnail view, which is in the 3rd row, the corresponding full screen size pic should open in 1st row of the table. As my photo gallery should be having more than 6 pics, lets take 20 pics, I want to show only 6 thumbnails in 3rd row at a time. Whenever user press "Next" button the 3rd row having 6 thumbnails should show other 6 thumbnails and previous button should show previous 6 thumbnails.
I am to create 4 links on a html page that when the link is clicked it brings an image up in a certain position. When you click the second link it is to bring that image up in the same position as the first image and so on and so on. I can get the links to work but the image is full size and it is not in the position that I was expecting it to be in. Once the image is displayed it covers the links so they are not able to be used. I put all the code on one page just for testing purposes, I figred that if I could get it to work in one page splitting the code into a css page and a js page would be the easy part. I have rewritten the code with buttons instead of links and I get the same result.I think there is a problem with the css but I am not sure.
I have this code that displays a thumbnail strip and then when you mouse over a thumbnail a bigger images shows up over the strip. The problem is it only is working on some of them and only when the mouse is over a certain part of the picture. When I click them however the picture shows up everytime. I was wondering if anyone could help me with what I'm doing wrong. My html/javascript code is below as well as my css file.
I so far have a scrollable image gallery of some thumbnails, I now wish to be able to click on the thumbnails and it load the corresponding full sized image with the website and everything else behind it being darkened/dimmed.the xhtml is structured like this so far, with no links to the full size images
I am looking for a plugin that will popup a full size image WITH HYPERLINK when user clicks the thumbnail image link. I found [url] is useful but I can't add the hyperlink to the full size popup image.
Im currently creating a textbox with an AJAX auto-complete feature but have reached a wall. I can create a div below it with a list of results but now need to allow the user to select. I can setup it up with an onClick, easy. But I need help with the arrow buttons as that is how I would like it to function. The script only allows 5 results at a time with each having an id of 0 to 4. Each result is a div, below is this code (created by PHP):
There is a JS file attached to the page this is echoed onto, so what would the code need to be on both the div (mouseup, mousedown...) and then the function that calls.
I found this code on another website and have been trying to mod the code so each image is the same size. but it will no even compile. So I am a bit fustrated right now. Any help on this topic<!-- Begin
var speed = 5000 var size = 75,100px var Pic = new Array() don't touch this
I have a couple of image slideshows on my site and in IE occasionally the images appear shrunk down like thumbnails instead of full size. why that might happen and what i could do to stop it? [URL]
I have some jQuery that inserts rows in a table, and currently just set the font colour of the new row to a highlighted colour for a second or so, to show the added row.I would really like to be able to make the new row grow from zero height to its normal height, rather than just appear, as this woudl look nicer. Similarly, when I delete a row, instead of fading to zero opacity, then being removed abruptly (which causes the rows below to jump up),I tried this using show() and hide(), which I thought would do it, but they don't. They fade the opacity correctly, but change the height in one jump.
I want to have a big image and say 5 small thumbnails underneath. When the user clicks a thumbnail, the image loads where the previous big image was. Is there a standard way to do this?
My application displays a list of checkboxes to the user. Some of the boxes are related. For eg:
List of boxes: a b c d
Checkboxes a and c are related. If user checks a; c should automatically be checked and vice-versa. Same for de-checking. I need a function to do this.
This is related to the pop-up window. Below is the function related to pop-up window. function openPopUpDetailsMultiple(seqNum ,controllername ) { if (!popUpDetails||popUpDetails.closed) { popUpDetails=window.open("GetSCEventAddData?schandle=<!.schandle>&objID=<!.objID>&seqnum="+seqNum+"&controllername="+controllername+,"popUpDetails","toolbar=1,location=0,scrollbars=1,width=600,height=300,resizable=1,left=200,top=200"); }else{ popUpDetails.focus(); popUpDetails.location="GetSCEventAddData?schandle=<!.schandle>&objID=<!.objID>&seqnum=" + seqNum; } }
The problem I'm facing now is in this piece of code: ><a href=javascript:openPopUpDetailsMultiple('"+ scEv[i].sceSeq+"''"+ scEv[i].sceCntr +"')><img src=images/NsaMoreDetails.gif border=0 height=16 width=16 align=middle alt='View more details'>More details</a></td></tr></table></td></tr></table>"); I do not know how to send these (scEv[i].sceSeq,scEv[i].sceCntr) arguments. What might be the delimiter for these arguments.
i know my summary is not the clearest so here goes....
the page www.philip ----- dusel .com
has several links to click ...all different images. they all link to the same page which is an image gallery. i would like for the new page to open with the related image enlarged in the gallery instead of always showing the first image in the list regardless of which link was clicked. i hope i am being clear.
ps what is the standard way of providing a link yet hiding it from the crawling robots?
I have gotten my script to do exactly what I want it to do with one exception. I have some thumbnail images that people can mouse over and the actual image is 100px by 75px. That is what I use for my thumbnail and they reside in www.website.com/images/thumbs/image1.jpg. I have the large version of the image that resides in www.website.com/images/image1.jpg. Its actual size is 640px by 480. When I mouse over my thumbnail, I don't want the thumbnail to appear for the larger image, I want the large image to appear instead? Let me know if you need ellaboration.
Javascript <script language="JavaScript"> function Change_Big_One(thumb){ document.getElementById('BigOne').src=thumb.src.replace("_th","")
I am trying to put together a purse shopping site - I would like to have the various views of the same purse in thumbnails under one image then when the customer clicks on the thumbnail the larger image will go into the viewing area. The general layout is like this page - [URL] So when someone clicks on the smallest image I would like it to replace the other image on the page and the larger image becomes the thumbnail. How is this accomplished?
I created a page with a thumbnail viewer. Click on a thumbnail and a larger version appears on the same page, NOT a pop up or Lightbox. It previews and validates fine. Even runs in IE. But not in FF(V. 3.6.18). Ideas? Code below with JS highlighted.
