I have a page with a default avatar image and a input box below it. Its a form. The thing i want to do is that, i want the default avatar image replaced after a user selects a image from the input tag.my code is some like this.

Is there a method using javascipt or any other language.
Using a UI dialog I'd like to load in 10 or so images. Each would be unique and after you click on one the following needs to happen:
1. Image appears on the parent page in a specified ID.
2. A "hidden" field is updated so that when the user submits the db is updated with their selection.
3. Dialog closes automatically.
That's it. Basically it would work similar to "datepicker".I'm using the latest 1.4 and ui and been making great progress as learning basics. I need to do the above and it seems like such a no brainier and or it should already exist but after 2 days of searching and trial and error...
like for example i have text areas named upload1 and upload2when I click or add input on upload1 a drop down list below upload2 will not change, but when I add input on upload2 the dropdown will select "parts"

View 5 Replies View RelatedIm trying to have a click event that replaces an image on the page with a new image that has been selected randomly from an array. I have solved PART of this already (can get the random image to appear).
However, instead of appearing on the page where the old image was, the new image appears in a blank page.
My research indicates that thisblank page location-problem is a result of using document.write in the Function. Therefore, I know I need to find a different way to accomplish this, but am failing miserably.
I have been trying for hours and hours and HOURS to figure out proper syntax for accomplishing this via elements, functions, variables and mootools.

how I can get this lookup to work..:?I'm using a app that uploads an image and returns a hex code in a 3x3 grid. (See here: http://jrm.cc/color-palette-generator) I want to take this one stage further and have a code that will then take the Hex code and look up a field in an sql database containing hex codes. Then convert the hex code into an image containing the selected colour. For example;
User uploads image of the sky
App returns hex codes of sky
App then needs to look in a field database of images on server and finds image/s with similar hex value
App then returns images in replace of the hex code (i.e blue water, swimming pool, blue coloured hat etc etc)

i am making an application on my website using javascript and html. i have knowledge in php and html, but not much at all in javascript. the application is split up by div tabs and inside the tabs is a list of different links to other div tags that have radio button groups inside them. im sure this is very basic but i want the value of the selected

the html i want to display are checkboxes so it's more stuff for a form i'm using lotus notes, so i have to use javascript.
i can get it to display a checkbox if a particular item is selected but it won't show up in place, it loads a new page with the check box the only thing on that new page.

I found this perfect javascript for creating dynamic connected drop down boxes. This script works fine but there is just one thing I want to add but unfortunately I'm not familiar with javascript enough... I want to display small images when an item is selected from the second drop down. I'm trying to make a template generator. I want the visitor to select a background (options: none, color, image). If 'color' or 'image' are selected, I need the appropriate text input field to be displayed.
I've found code to do this which I was able to understand and install. I've also found code that was well beyond my current understanding and that I couldn't get to work to save my life.
The problem is that the code snipped I found and installed is designed to work with a single dropdown, and it's beyond me to figure out how to turn it into a function that could be applied on the page multiple times. I have no idea if it is possible with this piece of script, but that is what I need to have whatever script I use do on the page.

When one of the selects changes, I'd like the value of the rel of the selected option to display.At first it seems to work, but only if you start by changing the last pull down menu. The trouble seems to be in the"select.ProductAvailability option:selected", this needs to be written for this instance, not all of the selects of that class on the page. How do I write that, I've tried$(this+" option:selected") but it won't take.
