All I can find is about style:float which is not what I want. I would like to animate an image randomly around the screen. So, it could slowly float across the screen, and would randomly choose its motion.
I'm trying to make a load of words that will appear and start floating randomly around the screen when the pointer is moved over a link, and stop moving when the link is clicked. The following is all I have so far - the ?s indicate that I have no idea what to put in that place!
This specific to the messages posted by members for various sections on this forum. when I read through the message text, and if the member has typed in some link of other site, on mouse over of this link i see small image of the link contents. I wanted to know how to do that? Are the images stored in the database and shown on mouse over or its something else.
I have a page, which is actually a photo gallery with a table having 3 rows. First row shows the full screen size pic. Second row displays the Caption of that image and third row shows thumbnail view of six different images and the previous and next button.this is the sample layout:
<table> <tr> <td colspan=8>
[code]...
My requirement is whenever the user click on the thumbnail view, which is in the 3rd row, the corresponding full screen size pic should open in 1st row of the table. As my photo gallery should be having more than 6 pics, lets take 20 pics, I want to show only 6 thumbnails in 3rd row at a time. Whenever user press "Next" button the 3rd row having 6 thumbnails should show other 6 thumbnails and previous button should show previous 6 thumbnails.
This error in firebug: jQuery.event.special.orientationchange.orientation is not a function. Page just loads as blank screen? Only when trying to upgrade to higher than 1.0a4.1.min.js. If I revert to earlier version then all is fine?
For simplicity and debugging, I attempt to display an apple when the mouse passes over the center of an image. In IE, the mouseover hand shows as the mouse passes over the center of the image and the apple is displayed. In FF, the mouseover hand shows as the mouse passes over the center of the image but the apple does not display.(By the way, I'm certain the showhide function is fine,
I have a site with a lot of small div-boxes (with images and movieswithin them)they are positioned with CSS and float:left.i created buttons, which show and hide either all images or all moviesthis works well.but when i switch between these options, the float-position of thedivs goes crazy and every div-container is on one line for itself(instead of 5 on one line)
I was searching to float a image to whole page, like I am having butterfly image (.gif) now I want to fly it in my whole document which is already populated with sorts of data. So is it possible with jQuery or I have to use Flash..
I was searching to float a image to whole page, suppose I am having a butterfly image (.gif) now I want to fly it in my whole page, this page already contains lots of data or HTML elements, so that image should fly in above of all this data / element. So i was wandering that is it possible with jQuery.
On one of my test sites I have an image that when you mouseover it has an enlarged image with description pop up which floats or aligns downward (default). Does anyone know the code or tag to make it float/align upward?
These images are near the bottom of the page so I want the pop up to pop up into the page and not down below the page line.[URl]..
Is it possible to make the mouse be at a given position on the screen using javascript for example i am writing a element resize script and i would like to have it so when u click on the resize button the cursor moves to the bottom right corner of the element for the starting position
I need a javascript that will print out the X and Y of the mouse on the screen as I move the mouse and keep up to date. The X and the Y must also be stored in a variable. (Trying to increase my knowledge of javascript so that I can make my web sites better and my experiments are all in making games)
I've been working on a javascript photo gallery on my talent agency's website. I'm running into a bit of trouble with two things... First off, i would like it that when the mouse is removed from the thumbnail, that the image the mouse was last on would remain on screen but the thumbnail wouldnt change back. Also, i cant figure out how to make it that when an image is being displayed, the photographer and makeup artist information could also be seen under the picture.
I've been trying to find a jQuery that will have buttons float from left to right onto a page, then grow a little / shrink back to normal size on mouseover.
I've found lots of things that are predominantly for drop down menus - that's not really it.
Using my (limited) javascript skills I've modified a script that moves buttons or divs onto a page but it looks very dull. Powerpoint-like even.
Here's a link: [URL]
All the buttons need to do is jump to another page - the background image does not need to change at all / slide out or anything like that.
So basically what I'm looking for is a pointer to a jQuery thingy [!] that will do the above while looking a lot snazzier
I've got to have a typo somewhere, but i can't seem to find it. I need a new pair of eyes to point it out for me. background: trying to code a mouseover link for a nav bar. everything is working( hyperlink, normal image shows up) but when i mouse over the image swap doesn't happen.
I have 2 parts of code. 1st preloads images and does the swap function. loads in <head> See below:
I am in the process of developing a website. I would like to use some images. The image should zoom on mouse over and mouse click i.e the image should zoom to h:100*W:100 on mouse over and on mouse click it should be zoomed to h:1000*w:1000. Also I would like to change the mouse over image and mouse click image before zooming.
I'm using this jQuery slider code that my coworker and I manipulated so that 3 images slide at a time. It worked great till we updated our jQuery to 1.6.2 from 1.3.2 (we were going to go with 1.7.1 but now that we've encountered this problem we have to hold off). I went all the way back to 1.4.1 and it works okay but not as bad as the latest versions.
I included ALL the code. You can literally copy this whole thing into a blank page, save it and test it. It's not really working as expected right now. It doesn't slide all the way back to 1 and there's an empty slide after 9. I will work with my coworker to debug it more but I want to know why versions 1.4.3 through 1.7.1 break it.
I'm trying to do some rollover images for a webpage I need to design, for class. I have them set up, and they work.. but the issue is that I set it up in such a way that the .js file is dynamic, and works for each page. You know, so that I don't actually have to specify the images within the .js file. The problem with THAT is that it doesn't automatically load the rollover version of each image, when the page loads.. so it's a bit sluggish.
I was wondering if you had any idea how to show a ad based on screen resolution. Sort of like how espn.com has it...when your on 800 by 600 it doesn't show the ad and msn table on the right but when you are on 1024 or higher it does. Does anyone have any idea how to do this?
Developing a dice game. I'm totally new at this so a bit confused with the javascript language...
Anyways, heres my code:
So what i need help with is my pictures. They wont show. Firebug says: "document.getElementById("dice" + i) is null", and I have tried to solve that but with no progress...
Next step is to show the sums of the dices on the screen and also save this sums to be able to show them later on in an alert window... But that is for later, right now the dices needs to show the right (random) sides...
I have problems updating from version 1.7.2. to version 1.8. I'm using a custom theme - can anybody give me a step-by-step guide how to update without destroying the whole site ? :) I would like to have the button featueres in the new version
The objective is to have an image fade to another one progressivly while the mouse is over, when its not it fades back to the original, whether or not it faded to the target completely or not. That is, if it takes 1 second to fade completely to the other image, and you take your mouse off it at 0.5 seconds, it will begin to fade back to the original. I have a problem where I want to give this ability to multiple images (thumbnails) on a page, without having reams and reams of code and instead just have one function accomadate any number of images.
