I have an HTML table dynamically populated with data from a coldfusion query and having radio buttons - see code following below.I need javascript to see the radio buttons and the user's selection - "approved"; "denied"; or, "N/A". If the user selects "approved" for multiple rows and then Submit the information will update the database table and remove those rows.However, if the user selects "approved" and "denied" then I need to update the "approved" rows and stop the update at the "denied" row and show a dialog box which informs the user that the "Reason for Denial" text box must be entered. Then the Submit button can be engaged and the "denied" selection processed. Only one "denied" at a time will be updated - but all "approved" entries can be denied similtaneously - unless a "denied" intervenes.I do have javascript code for the "denied" selection with empty "Reason for Denial" text box - see below:

I have this script that gets the value of the selected radio button and then i put into a table from the id. I have over thrity of these and realized that if i didnt cut the values down to a certin size, it would completely destroy the table. I was wondering if there was any way to run the selected value from the radio group through the function(or something else that can cut it to a certin length) then display it in the table. i was thinking it might be easy to do the whole thing in javascript.

I have a list of items in a table. For each item, I have a set of radio buttons, with values of 'yes' and 'no', and a name/id unique to the item. There can be any number of items at any given time (usually 20-30)
I would like to have a link at the top that will select all of the 'yes' values and one that will select all of the 'no' values.
I have been able to select using name and value, but I need to be able to select soley by value, as the names will all be different (it should be apparent that I have very little experience with Javascript and less with Jquery).

Ran into an issue today I wasn't able to sort out on my own or through a Google search:I have this form where I wanted to select a radio button when the containing div was clicked. So, on the click of the div, I would say that the radio's attribute of checked was set to checked.It all worked fine until I put on the document.ready to hide all the radios.Thus, with a hidden radio input, I was unable to manipulate the checked attribute. I have a very long form full of items that the user rates from 1 to 3. There may be 100 items that the user needs to rate. For each item to rate they are given three radio buttons for 1, 2 or 3 for them to choose from. Now initially all the radio buttons are unchecked, but each item to rate is required. So this process can take quite a bit of time having to check each radio button. I need a way at the top of the form to have three master radio buttons for 1, 2 and 3 to where if they click 1 it will select/deselect all of the radio buttons for the rating 1 and the same for 2 and 3. I would like to work off of the CSS class selecter for this so I will be giving the radio buttons classes of "radio1", "radio2" and "radio3". What's the best way to go about this?

How do you programatically invoke a radio button? What I am trying to do is after a user presses a radiobutton, it checks to see if another independent checkbutton is pressed. If it is, it disables it and then programatically calls the users first button press.
