Pass On Values From Drop-down Box

Nov 25, 2005

I wonder if anybody can give me a hint about what I have to do to get
this working: I am creating a drop down box using the script below. The

result is two text fields; now I want to pass those values, which come
from the drop down box, to the next page. The next page should then
simply look like this:

Month:

Year:

And the values should be the ones from the drop-down box...
I have been staring myself blind about how to get this accomplished.
Would be more than grateful if somebody could have a look...here is

Calculating A Score From A Row Of Drop-down Values

Aug 11, 2006

I need help in calculating a score from a row of drop-down values.
I need to use the onChange to tally the score as the user moves across
9 categories (with drop-down selection of 1-9 or N/A) multiplied by a
weighted score. The final column for each employee would be the
calculated score. I know how to accomplish this with vbscript but I
need it to process on the screen so the user can see the calculated
score as they make selections. Also the code needs to execute as many
times as there are employee rows.(loop) I don't know how to do this
with Javascript

Here's the VBscript with the variables involved
Var S1 = Category 1 Weighted score
Var S2 = Category 2 Weighted score
Var S3 = Category 3 Weighted score
Var S4 = Category 4 Weighted score
Var S5 = Category 5 Weighted score
Var S6 = Category 6 Weighted score
Var S7 = Category 7 Weighted score
Var S8 = Category 8 Weighted score
Var S9 = Category 9 Weighted score
D5 = 0.92
Var Q11 = Category 1 drop-down Value(1-9) * S1
Var Q22 = Category 2 drop-down Value(1-9) * S2
Var Q33 = Category 3 drop-down Value(1-9) * S3
Var Q44 = Category 4 drop-down Value(1-9) * S4

If (Category 5 Value = "N/A") THEN
Q55 = ' '
Else
Var Q55 = Category 5 drop-down Value(1-9 or N/A) * S5
End If

Var Q66 = Category 6 drop-down Value(1-9) * S6
Var Q77 = Category 7 drop-down Value(1-9) * S7
Var Q88 = Category 8 drop-down Value(1-9) * S8
Var Q99 = Category 9 drop-down Value(1-9) * S9

If (Category 5 = "N/A") THEN
Var FinalScore = round(((Q11 + Q22 + Q33 + Q44 + Q66 + Q77 + Q88 + Q99)
/ D5),2)
else
Var FinalScore = round((Q11 + Q22 + Q33 + Q44 + Q55 + Q66 + Q77 + Q88 +
Q99),2)
end if

Can anyone help me converting this to javascript?

Duplicate Values In Drop Down List Box

Jul 20, 2005

Problem: I have two dropdown list boxes with same data(all data driven).
These are used for two separate entries. For every entry you cannot choose the same value twice. For example, I cannot choose for entry 1 the same value in both selection boxes (gqCategory1Entry1 and gqCategory2Entry1)

This part works.

The second entry is the problem: When I choose a value for Entry
Two that is the same as in entry one it thinks that "Dubplicate
Divisons have been selected").

WHen in fact these are two separate entries.

Referencing Values On A Drop-down Menu

May 8, 2006

I have managed to write a working script to add together two values and display the total. I need to advance from that stage and now I have a 'quantity' box and a drop-down menu with a few options on it, each relating to a price. I am trying to take the quantity entered by the user and multiply it by the price they select from the drop-down and display it in a third box. So far I have:

two = document.autoSumForm.value from menu.value;
document.autoSumForm.total.value = (one * 1) + (two * 1);

How can I rewrite the above to account for the different choices a user can make on a drop-down menu?

Iterate Through A Table For Values Of Drop Down Menus?

Dec 22, 2011

I wish to get the values for the 3rd and 4th cell of each row where these contain drop down menus. I've tried various ways but my code doesn't seem to iterate through rows of a table. I can get the values for the first row, but not the rest. There's isn't a fixed row size for the table as the user will be able to add and delete them.

I've put the values in separate arrays but instead of the array containing say [10, 20] it contains [10, 10] as it just duplicates the first row's values.

Here's my code that I have so far:

function calculate(){
var len = document.getElementById(arguments[1]).rows.length;
var cMenus = [];
var gMenus= [];

[Code]...

I've tried adding j to the arguments or putting it in "[]" but nothing seems to work. I don't think the platform I'm using supports jquery,

Triple Drop Down List Not Passing Values Properly?

Aug 11, 2011

I tried implementing a cleaner approach to a web form I had created, but it doesn't seem to be passing the values to the server properly. This form on the left and right work perfectly, but they have two ridiculously long drop down lists, which would be the "ProgramOfInterest" fields [URL] On this form, I tried creating a triple drop down list setup to clean up the older, long lists in this example, but it doesn't pass the values properly. It also seems to not duplicate the new drop down triple drop lists properly as in the original form. You can change the values in the drop downs in the forms to see what I mean. Also just pick Bachelor's > B_Business > Business Administration in the triple drop downs for an example since I don't know how to preselect those values.

This is the triple drop down script I am using:

Special Values From Drop-down Menu & Total In Simple Form?

May 10, 2011

I have the perfect form for a client - but its missing one thing. She sells hair clips in various colors. A user can select a hair clip color and quantity quite easily (as seen in the code below). My issue is that she wants to be able to give the user a 'special price' based on the quantity ordered by the user. Contrary to simply adding the default price of $7 over and over again based on the quantity selected.The way I want it to work...

1 clip is $7
2 clips are $12
3 clips are $22
5 clips are....etc.

...however, with the way that the javascript is set up now I'm only able to select one default price. This means that whatever quantity is selected -- it's simply multiplied by the number 7 to provide a total.

1 clip is $7
2 clips are $14
3 clips are $21
5 clips are....etc.[code].....

Adding $ Values In Drop Down Choices And Totaling In Html Form?

Feb 17, 2010

I am creating a html form for the local soccer league for online registration. In a drop down box the user chooses whether in house or travel and both choices have a different fees ao I would like to add a $ value to both options to be displayed in a TOTAL box at the bottom of the form before they submit. I would (if possible) like to have that total displayed on the page they are directed to after submitting the form. This page will have a link to PayPal for the user to pay their fee or I could skip that step and have the user taken directly to PayPal checkout with that total already filled in. Is this at all possible? What are my possiblities? I am NOT any where near a pro at the code writing. I can provide a link to what I have done already if requested.
