Im working on a payment site and have my radio and checkbox buttons redirected to a totalvalue field. I only cant get my dropdown to work aswell. Each value of te dropdown is worth $95 x value.
I'm building a website, and the drop-down menu system will not work in Internet Explorer. I have a rough version online for testing purposes, here is a link to it: Ryoku Seikido - Home.
Is there such a thing as a dropdown menu that works in all browsers? (or at least all the commonly used ones)... Is JavaScript a good way to go? and if yes, are there any precoded templates available that are fairly straightforward to integrate and adapt for dropdowns?
I have a Javascript on my credit card page which populates the elements of a dropdown field (The Year field).It just works with Internet Explorer and not Firefox.Here is the script:
<script type="text/javascript"> <% Dim orderDateYearx orderDateYearx = cStr(Year(Date))
I have been working on a simple gallery/slide show. It can be viewed here: [URL]. However, I have been tried unsuccessfully to get the drop down menu and automatic sideshow to work. I would like to get the drop down button to work where when you select the for example "beach" ...the beach picture appears at as the big picture at the top. Right now, no matter what is selected it goes back to the first picture.
The page's current script can be seen here: HTML Code: <html><head> <title>Gallery</title> <script language ="JavaScript"> <!-- var photos = new Array(5); var p_no = 0; for ( i= 0; i <= 4; i++){ .....
I have 2 dropdown lists which are connected to a mysql database. When I select an item from the first dropdown list the second dropdown list should show item which are linked to the item from the first list. But the thing is I can select an item from the first one, but the second isn't showing anything.
In the mysql database I have 2 tables: hesk_programma and hesk_projecten. In table hesk_programma there are a ProgrammaID and Programma column. In table hesk_projecten there are a ProgrammaID, a ProjectNumber and a Project column.
ProgrammaID from the two tables are connected to each other, so when I select an item from the first dropdown list with the ProgrammaID AK, the second dropdownlist should only display the items with the ProgammaID AK from the hesk_projecten.
By the way, one more thing. The ProjectNumber from the hesk_projecten table should be displayed (when selecting an item in the second dropdownlist) in a input text field.
i downloaded Anylink drop down menu from dynamicdrive.com. i am able to get it to work with text links, but they dont show you how to set it up for image links. here is the page im talking about.

here is the css to my page that just contains the regular links dropdown.
@charset "utf-8"; /* CSS Document */ body { margin: 0; /* clear for browsers */
I'm in the process of building this Ballroom Dancing website that has a simple dropdown menu. The menu works if I immediately call jQuery right above the javascript for the menu, ie:
The problem is that I don't want to do this because I already have WordPress calling jQuery several lines above for some other plugins. Is there a reason why it will only work with jQuery included right above? You can visit the site at www.zumbasudbury.ca to see the non-working dropdown. Hovering over Ballroom should produce a dropdown of two items.
Im trying to get a mouseover dropdown menu to work when I copy and paste the code all I get is the code where the buttons should be.When it does work I go to preview I get script errors.I am new to this html thing I am using frontpage 2002.This is the code I am trying to use and putting it in the body.
I am using the following script on one of my pages (script comes from [url]:
Code:
The script works great, BUT I need to use it in 2 different areas of the same form. It only works on an id="selectMenu" and of course I cannot have more that 1 id.
How can I get this script to work in multiple select fields? (at least more than 1)
I have a project where I need a selection of one dropdown menu may affect the select of multiple other dropdown menus on the same page.First, a table is generated, and within each row, it contains a dropdown menu. Assume: Rows A, B, C, etc..., and Dropdown selection: 1, 2, & 3If dropdown in Row A selects 2, then I want the selection of dropdowns in rows B & C to dynamically change to 2.And if in Row C user selects 3, then the selection in dropdowns in rows A & B should dynamically change to 3.
I just needed a simple dropdown. So what better solution than jquery right? Well, when I finished it, I tested it out and it works until you try to click a link in the dropdown. It then disappears. Not sure if theres something overlaying throwing it off but I didn't see anything in firebug.
Website: [url] (hover over the rentals link in the top nav)
I have code for autosuggestion while typing in a text box written in Javascript and PHP. When I start typing a number I get a list of matching numbers and I'm able to select one of them with the mouse click. Now I have an other text box which should display a list of numbers based on the selection from the first textbox.
On selecting abc(a) in first dropdown the 'a' must get selected in second dropdown,on selecting cde(b) second dropdown must have 'b' and so on,also the second dropdown value should be disabled(grayed out) for user.Need the code in javascript.
I have 4 strands of hair left... I have been fighting with this one for almost a week now. I'm trying to pass the value of this dropdown to a function and enable another dropdown(and in the future create the populated dropdown based on this choice). If the original 'Select...' option is chosen it will then hide that second dropdown. In the following code the function actually resides in a js file which has been imported and is working properly. I have tried this as text and as value and both seem to be passing a null value regardless of the option selected.
I have two drop-down prompt controls with month names. One has just one value (say "July") and the other has all the months of the year ("January".."December"). The first prompt control is hidden on the page. How do I set the default selection of the second prompt control to the value present in the first prompt control? So, when the page is run, the second prompt control should automatically show "July".
I was reading up on the selectedIndex property (?), but I know that it won't work because I want Index 0 to be selected in the first control and Index 6 in the second, and I expect it to change every month (next month it will be index 7 that should be automatically selected).
Ive searched this forum for a simple solution to this. I want have a drop down of countries. Only if USA is selected, it shows states, otherwise it is hidden. I have a function which is 'trying' to write the state dropdown to an empty span.
I cant get my cookie to work. I believe its not my javascript that is wrong. Can anyone take a look to see what i did wrong in my cookie? I have to pages dropdown1.html and dropdown2.html. Both pages have the same exact dropdown list. There is also a javascript file called script.js which makes it so you get an error if you select the same option on the second drop down list as the first. Also in the script.js i have a cookie that should run so dropdown2.html should now what was selected in dropdown1.html Can anyone see if i made a mistake in either my javascript code in my cookie? Right now I am not getting the error message if you select the same option as the first. Ill show all my code incase you need it for reference

Code:
Script.js (this is the part where I cant figure out why the error message does not appear on the second dropdown menu if user selects the same option as the first)
