i'm using frames and they are split vertically of 20% & 80% and in top frame i have my site's information and when i ever i click something on the top frame then the lower frame loads content from external sites.
But when i click something from the lower frame , in some sites they are using js to change the location url directly and it reloads the whole page in the current window.
But in such case i dont want to reload the whole window instead change the frame only ..
I cant block javascript on client machine and couldn't ask for that either!!
Related to this i have some doubts, Can i detect the url to which the site is reloading and then reload the frame with that url . I fear thats not possible..!! I used the onbeforeunload function to detect that the site is going to unload and reload a new page . but what i can i do just making sure that the site is not reloaded.
Suppose I have two frames, as shown in the script below. One of the frames, I would like to have reload every ten minutes or so. Hower, the frame I wish to reload is a php script, which executes and creates a png image which gets displayed directly to the browser frame (therefore, the image is NOT written to the server itself, and the page that gets displayed in the frame I wish to update is a png image mime type).
How can I amend my script in my page which holds the frameset (i.e. the parent) such that only one particular frame is updated at a fixed interval?
I have two frames (frameset, let's call it frame1 and frame2). Frame1 has links..., and frame2. When some link in frame1 is clicked, it must be changed content of the frame2. Here's example: click. How to do that? (I don't see any javascript code)
I need a counter that will display beside a link, with the number of times the same link has been clicked. I do not have FTP access to the site, since it is based on a CMS.
i want to have 4-5 buttons on the left side for the different links, and on the right half i want to load that link without reloading the entire webpage. currently i have it so that everything is in tables, so table's left column contains the links (for example - Link1, Link2, Link3, Link4, Link5). now when i were to click any of those i want the page corresponding to that link to open up in the right column without reloading the entire page. i'm stuck on how to pass what i click on the left to load up on the right.
I'm using the following code snippet to show popup menus (in a header frame) and target the menu options to another frame. This works fine for a single hard-coded frame (e.g. "2" below, in doClick) but I need to pass in the target frame ID when the user clicks, the reason being that different options will target different frames depending on who the user is.
the target frame name is in the target attribute of the link tag, i.e. <a href="" target="here"> that the user clicks on but I don't know how to make use of this in the code below. Code:
In the following .submit function, I am attempting to grab the value of the selected option in the facilityCodes dropdown list when I click the submit button and then during the submit function,select the facilityCode again in the dropdown list when the page reloads and then disable the list so that the user cannot change it.However,the situation is when I reload the page after the submit button is clicked the dropdown defaults to the first option and the list is enabled.I apparently am not understanding how.submit works so that I'm selecting the option I'm defining in my code below and then disabling the list AFTER the page reloads due to an error on the page. My question is how can I accomplish this?Here is my code:
$(function() { $("#ARTransferForm").submit(function() { var msgsCount = 0;[code]....
I am new to JQuery. I am using Block UI in my application.In submit button onclick event, i am performing client side validations ( required fied validators )in asp.net.On clicking submit button,whole page is blocked and at the same time validation message is also displayed and page remains blocked. While performing client side validations i don't want to block the page.
I have a site with 2 frames. The navigation frame is on the right side and the larger main frame is on the left. The navigation frame is nothing but a bunch of thumbnails that scroll when the mouse hovers over “up/down. The links are the thumbnails. I hope you get the picture… a user would click on a thumbnail and go to a site. The problem is that I want the thumbnail to link to a site and open it in the frame on the left (the main frame.) The only options I have (through Dreamweaver) is _blank, _parent, _self, _top.
The script I think that might need to change is below. Can anyone help me and figure out what needs to be changed? Code:
I look for a script allowing to display a page in a frame as from a link in a pop up (and close it in the same time The name of my frame is "body" In the pop up i try this function in the head section :
function reroutage() { parent.frames["body"].window.location="assistance.htm"; window.close(); }
I am using two frames, left side frame, i am having four links...
" <?xml version="1.0"?> <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:lang="en" lang="en">
[Code]....
On click of link1, a div should display inside the "content". On click of link2, another div should display inside the "content". Like this for all link, separate div should be displayed.
I have a page with 3 iframes it has a link to open up a page and when the user clicks on a link on that page - I want the new page to close and the link to open in the second iframe on the original page
I've got a little Quizzer program that asks a question in the upper frame of a frameset and then lists the answer in the lower frame. Answers can be plain text, straight html, a sound, or a LINK. I have a function that builds the answer frame using document.write(among other things). This code works fine until you encounter a link. It dutifully displays the link in the lower frame but the very next question builds the newContent perfectly but does NOT write it to the frame even though it appears to execute it.
How can I detect when a link has been clicked but the new page is still in the process of loading? The document.location.href property still displays the current location (understandably) not the one that's about to load.
I have a page that reloads every 30 seconds in order to access live data. If a user clicks on a link just prior to the page reloading the reload takes precedence over the link click and this is annoying for the users. Whe the page is about to reload I want to check to see if a link has just been clicked (and therefore a new page is about to load) and, if so, cancel the reload.
I have a page with several links that when clicked open a modal window. The same window for each link, with a form. However inside the form I need to print the id of the link that was clicked. Like so:
I have a link, which triggers a script, but when the link is clicked, i want it to get a border around it... currently tried onclick="this.style.borderWidth = 1px"
So I am trying to set up a registration form that when the user clicks the "Add Another" link then a new text field for the additional person and email field is added to the page. I dont know how to repeat this process to get what I want.
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-W3CDTD XHTML 1.1EN" "http:www.w3.org/TR/xhtml11/DTD/xhtml11.dtd"> <head> <title>Registration Form</title> <meta http-equiv="content-type"
I have a question and I think javascript is the way to go...So here's what im thinkingI have an image of half a quys face. When the mouse goes over it, the image should expand to reveal the whole face, when the image is clicked, it will act jst like a link.
I have navigational links on my page, but when someone clicks one, i would like an effect to occur, and then the browser to navigate to the link and it usually would.
