Add Dynamically Multiple "Date Picker" Input Boxes To A Form?
Aug 3, 2011
I need to be able to add dynamically multiple "Date Picker" input boxes to a form. I wanted to use a simple dynamic textbox added form which will easily add or remove date pickers.
I already have a Date Picker which works well also I have a very dynamic field added.
is it possible to use another JavaScript inside another script as one seems to corrupt the other?

$(document).ready(function(labelname){*
var counter = 2;*
$("#add").click(function () {*
if(counter==1000){*
Im trying to put a date/time picker on a form Im making in DreamWeaver. I cant get it to work though. What am I doing wrong?
I put this after <head>
<script LANGUAGE="Javascript" SRC="C:/Inetpub/wwwroot/vacf/javascript/calendarpopup/combined-compact/CalendarPopup.js"></SCRIPT> <script LANGUAGE="Javascript"> var cal = new CalendarPopup(); </SCRIPT>
and "Select" is what launches it. This is at the text box:
I've found plenty of examples of date pickers, but can't find any good time pickers
I found this link which seemed promising
But, the best example doesn't seem to work with my Wordpress installation. Not sure exactly what the problem is - maybe a simple CSS or maybe more involved and be a clash in Jquery code (only guessing)
(The best example I've found is.. but no luck trying to get it to work!)
I successfully inserted date picker with trigger calendar in my form. I want to use this form for an other website I built. So I simply saved form under different domain name, it is not working.the image calendar.gif does not appear in my new document.I compared code HTML from both form and it is identical though.
I have a form where a user enters a number in a text box (txtTickets). When that number is entered, I need to create an equal number of select boxes. I've found code examples which show how to dynamically add or delete options from a select box, but I have found no examples which deal with this specific scenario. The select options do not depend on user input -- that is, I do not need to populate it dynamically. I need to create them dynamically. Has anyone created something similar to this?
I am trying to make a date picker that will disallow user from selecting the date that has past (i.e. can't select yesterday's date). Here is my original script for the calendar but it allows user to select past date.
Code: var datePickerDivID = "datepicker"; var iFrameDivID = "datepickeriframe";
I'm working on a website where users can add films to a film directory through a form. One of the fields that can be filled in is a "Release date" field, where a correct release date can be filled in. The form uses dropdown boxes for selecting the date; this is much less confusing in terms of how to format the date than if one would just use a text input field. Here's a screen shot:[URL]..
I've been looking for a Javascript script that does three things:
1) Validate the entered date (i.e. no "31st of February" dates).
2) Check whether the date entered doesn't exceed today's date (so no release date in the future is allowed). This could be combined with PHP to find the today date.
3) If the "I don't know the release date" box is checked, simply skip the whole validation process (no need to validate something that won't be used).
I've been looking for Javascript code that does this, and I found a couple of scripts (like this one) [URL].. /date_validation.asp), but they all make use of text input fields where the user has to input it in a certain format (mm/dd/yyyy et cetera). This is not what I'm looking for, but having zero knowledge of Javascript I am completely unable to write my own code or adapt this code to what I want.
I already figured out the PHP that does all of the above, but I would also very much like to have some code that checks the date before the data is processed so that users who have made a mistake don't have to fill in the whole form a second time.
ave this form which gets created by pulling stock/products from a database using PHP and beside every product in the row is a little box for input and in there the user can input the quantity of the product they want. Sometimes only 2 products will be outputted and other times 10 or more.What I want to happen is when the user enters in lets say 3 for the quantity of a certain product I want to get a total for how much 3 of that product will cost so I just do 3 multiply by the cost (which I have from the database) and then display the total cost down under where the list of the available products are and I want all this to happen dynamically obviously not using PHP because I don't want the page to have to reload every time they enter in a new quantity.
I know how to display text and stuff in certain divs with certain ID's using Javascript but I just don't know how to keep track of a form and do what I want to do when the number of inputs in the form can range from 1 to 10 or more. Im thinking of some sort of counter which gives every input a different ID like add 1 at the end of the ID name of the input as the PHP script loops through the database query displaying the products but I still don't know how to go about the Javascript side of things
I've been ask to produce a new upload form that can allow multiple files to be uploaded with each article i was thinking of adding an upload form field than when text is added to the text field an extra file name description and upload text box would appear on the page via javascript.
So the more files that add to the form the more dynamically produced form text boxes are added, i have been looking to find if this could be done or what way is better, if anyone could help with telling where to look or how to dynamically produce more text areas. Or could you let me know another solutions to this.
I have seen it work on my mobile when added new contacts, you type in mobile number and then the home text box appears below it, then you type in home number and then the work text box appears. etc..
I am trying to use a code snippet fromthe code works fine however what I want to do is modify it so that when the user clicks the link to add another entry their would be a drop down <select> box to the left of the text input box. Which I have working but each time the link is clicked to add a new <select> and text input box row the previous <select> dropdowns seem to loose their values and only the text input boxes keep their values. So I am not sure where/how to edit my below code to work properly
Code: below javascript controls the functionalty of the script var arrInput = new Array(0);
I have two input boxes on a form which receive the first and last name of a user. I want to be able to use charAt() to get the first letter in each box and pass it a third box on the same form. is this doable? May I request some help? I was thinking something like the function below would be the starting point --I stand correct, as it is not working.
<script type="text/javascript"> var str="Mossa"; <!--document.write(str.charAt(0));--> document.write('<INPUT TYPE=text size=2 VALUE="str.charAt(0);">'); var str="Barandao";
Just started using the jQuery mobile framework and I couldn't find a date picker or a progress bar. Is there one? if so please tell me where I can find it.
I have a problem with ltebox plugin I am using datepicker in litebox loading page problem is datepicker is goingbackward of the litebox i will attach the image of that
Somebody asked me if it would be possible to add auto-advance to a web form where there are a lot of repetitive 5 character fields. I took a look around the web and found a script, which appears to work in the couple of browsers I tried it in. However, when I look at the script it appears to have the wrong number of brackets. Then when I changed the script to the way I thought it should be, it still worked!
I'm totally rusty on javascript. I think I remember that you're allowed to omit brackets when you only have 1 line following the if (or while, or whatever).
A couple of questions:
Are the brackets in the original script below wrong or am I missing something?
Can anyone recommend a different auto-advance script?
Or, is auto-advancing a bad idea all around from a usability/accessibility point of view?....
i'm building a website at the moment with a user registration form. something i struggle with everytime is the best way to give feedback to the user (e.g. further instructions for a particular field or error messages).I saw a very nice execution of this recently at this site. /user/register - this looks to be a custom job, but i'm curious is the open-source or even paid plugins that do a similar thing.
I see that the defaultDate can easily be set to a specific date, or to a date that is a number of days, weeks, month, or years in the future or past. But is there a way to ...have the defaultDate default to the first day of the next month? or ...have the date picker default to the first day of a month no matter what day the user selects for that month? or ...Have the date picker disable every day of every month except for the first day?
I have a date picker script that allows people to click on a date from a calendar, which then populates a text box.
My issue is that the calendar will intermittently not populate the text box beyond the 7th day of the month. For example, if you click on February 1st, it will populate with: code...
