How To Access Main Page Controls From IFrame
Jan 15, 2010I have an ASP page suppwf.asp which has 2 iframes I1 & I2. Iframe I2 has a page case_details.asp as its source. Now I want to set a text box value of suppwf.asp page with a value sent by case_details.asp. I want to do it by Javascript. I can send value from I1 to I2. But I am not able to send that value to suppwf.asp page.

page, to call a generic function to work perform one task, then i want
to call another function with the results of that task.
something like this:
in my aspx page:

Right now I'm using 'switch' and manually adding possible values for
'functionName' then directing manually, but I'd like to make
"doFirstFunction" self-maintaining, i.e. without having to update it if
I add more 'second' functions later.

Sep 15, 2011i am having a few problems with my form and i was hoping someone can help me understand what i am doing wrong. I'm new to java and scripting for forms. Usually i use Simfatic Forms to build my forms but this form requires special coding and work. I'm build a 5 table form with a dynamically add and remove function that will allow the user to add more Rows to the form.
What i would like the add function to do is allow my users to pick from a Dropdown menu how many rows they would like to add to the form from 1,5,10,15,20,25 rows. I have gotten the form to allow the add function of one row only but i cant get the add function to allow the select from list.
when the row repeats it wont repeat the datepicker to a workable map or the number system from 5+ in table ren5 i have the page up on my site for testing purposes so you can see what is going on. Another issue im having is when i submit the form to my formtools it takes all the input info and puts it in one line in the datebase. What im trying to do is have each table submit to its own row in the datebase.
What im looking for is help understanding what i need to do to make this work. I have been reading a lot of tutorials and have been searching a lot of help sites but everything i have read and tried so far will not work for what im trying to do.

Nov 3, 2010I am new to jquery but i have figured out how to link datepicker to a dynamically generated tablethis funtion works but only posts the date to my ajax call (Array ( [date] => 04/01/2009 ) for example)I need for it to post the id of the original input which i than can derive the actual id of the mysql file so i can update the correct date ( for example id = "picker_2343", the attached number would actually be the file id )so how can i include in $_POST the original input id or class id ??, $_GET could work also....

Basically I want to hide all of the controls within my specified parent control which have an ID starting with "accordionBody_" except the first one. (So that the first pane is expanded and the rest are hidden on load.) I'm using the following:

But it's not working - it just hides all of the controls.

Aug 23, 2010I am using position absolute to stick a table header to the top of a div. In the screenshot, under the menu is a div, the buttons and drop downs are at the "top" and grid starts from half way down, now when user scrolls till header is out of view i show the header at the "top" with position absolute. then when user scrolls back down and onto original position the buttons and drop downs are now again at the top exactly at the position where the header was shown, once the header has been shown all the buttons and the drop down are no longer clickable, i.e. there is no reaction, no dropdown shown and no click... whats happening is that IE is thinking that that area at the top where the header was is now invalid, or still occupied by the header or something like that? Its like the buttons and drop downs are kind of "behind" the area where the header was therefore nothing is clickable...
And proof of this is that i gave some <BR> spacing to the buttons and drop downs so that they are not at the up most, but halfway down... and things work fine... whats IE up to? or is there some coding i need to do... below is the code for the header to float
[it may be coz when the header is not to be shown i set the position to ' ', but i have tried with relative, fixed and static as well to no avail...]
