Watch The Success Of A Form To Send A XHR Request With MOOTOOLS?
Jun 29, 2010
I have a Joomla website which are using VirtueMart. I want to watch the submit of a product (which is using AJAX) and when the request is succesful and complete then send a new XHR request to upload another part of the website.How do you think I should do with Mootools?I first success to do it but only by adding an event on the form submit. So when I click on the Add to Cart button, it is working but I would like to wait until the first request is complete.
I am trying to get a form to call a javascript function on submit to send an ajax request. The site sits on one server and the php target file on another. I get a status of 0. From what I read, this is because the php file sits on a different server. I do don't believe I can get around the files sitting on different servers.I can set the php file as the form action, but I do not want to redirect, just send a request to the other server to modify some values in a DB. If I can not send an ajax request between servers, I was thinking an alternative might be to set the php file as the form action, run the updates, and then have the page redirect me back. Is there a better way to get around this problem
Mozilla-based browsers have watch and unwatch methods to detect change in value of form elements (or any Javascript variables really). IE doesn't support this.
Is there a a reliable cross-browser way alternative to this? Something that will let me detect a change in value for a form element and trigger my own callback function upon change?
Hopefully, something that is generic enough to be called as "MyWatch(element)"!
I am using jquery to send an ajax request from my facebook app which is in iframe to my server. The ajax request works fine when the web app is running stand alone and out of facebook platform, but within facebook, the result that I get from my ajax request is blank !!! Here is the code I use:
I was guessing if it was possible, using jQuery, to have a link that, when clicked, opens the relative url and sends to it a post request. I'm trying to do this with the $.post function, but i found the problem that the request is sent, but the page isn't opened.
This is my code: <html> <head> <script type="text/javascript" src="jquery.js"></script>
area.html (1.72K)Number of downloads: 16HI All,I am preapring Ajax request to get server data.This request is working fine IE.But This Shows Error in chrome and firefox.The Error code Details here.com.sun.xml.internal.ws.transport.http.server.WSHttpHandler handleExchangeWARNING: Cannot handle HTTP method: OPTIONS The above error came in java code.NETWORK_ERR : XMLHttpRequest Exception 101. This will came in html when debug the code.My home work are attached below
I'm trying to access a web application that allows single sign-on when it is passed the following HTTP Request headers:
AUTHENTIC: YES AUTHORIZED: YES USER: (user ID from active directory) Here is the code I have so far: $.ajax({
[Code].....
This script is within a blank webpage on my IIS server. Essentially, all the elements of the web app's UI get thrown within a div, but it doesn't seem to be loading the other parts of the page such as the <head>. I read on another thread that it is not a good idea to try and put everything within a div cause of the other html and head tags that already exist. Basically, what I want to do is access the webpage that has the above script and have it re-direct me to the Web Application's URL and adding in the custom HTTP Request headers.
I have a relative path issue when using jQuery in that I am using the same ajax function sitewide and I don't know how I can send a request to a PHP file without needing to provide the full absolute path. For example, the below code works at top level, but will not work if called from inside a sub folder.
I am facing some problem with this when i am trying to sent the data in krnlAddComment1.asp page and there is only an insert query exists. after run the query successfully, response.write "...." revert back to me
I have a form which submits data to a php file, which than sends a pdf file containing the inputted data via php headers. So after the submit, you still see the page with the form on and get a pdf-download now I want to see if the pdf download-window came up and if so, redirect the user to another page (instead of the page where the form is on), but the window to download the pdf should be still there so the user is still able to download the file.
A website I'm designing vgdesign.net/thc has a form in the footer. It functions how I want right now (to my knowledge) except for the fact that after a user submits a form and it passes validation, I want a message to be displayed that says "Thank You". I have a class created for this in my stylesheet but I don't know how to trigger it when the form is sent successfully. Essentially, I would like the result to look like this:
If the form doesn't pass validation, I want it to not display until the users fix the errors in the validation pop ups and resubmit. The php script that sends the form contents to the specified email is at the top of my index.php page. The validation tool I'm using is called jquery inline form validations (found here: [URL] How can I have that success message pop up when the form was successfully submitted?
I'm trying to submit a form with the jQuery Form Plugin by malsup. I'm fairly positive my code is correct because in IE8 the success function is being called and the background of the boxes are turning green. In IE7 however, The submit function is definitely working as the file is uploaded to the correct place, but the success function is not being called/fired. Any ideas as to why this might be? Do IE7 and IE8 handle this that differently? The function in the success call is just changing a checkbox and combo box background colors to green.
I'm trying to figure out how to integrate jQuery Validation plugin with the qTip plugin [0] to show custom error message displays. I've had partial success with the following code:
At this point, that successfully displays the validation failure message in a qTip tooltip when it occurs, but there are two problems with it:
1) The error tooltip toggles between visible and invisible onmouseover and onmouseout. I'm sure this isn't really an issue with the Validation plugin, but rather something I need to figure out with the tooltip plugin. But, my bigger problem is...
2) Even when the invalid condition is fixed (valid data is later entered into the field), the error tooltip remains attached to the field that was previously invalid, even after the field is valid, and continues to toggle between visible and invisible onmouseover and onmouseout. I'm fairly certain that this is because I've not yet destroyed the tooltip object, but, I can't seem to figure out a way to intercept the "valid" or "success" event with a reference to the element so that I *can* destroy the attached tooltip object.any experience with combining qTip with Validation, or, if I'm missing something in the docs (I've not been able to find anything like this yet) about how to handle/override event handlers for individual form element invalidation/success. I *did* try attaching a function to the "success" attribute of the validate function, but that seems to only give me a reference to the success label, and not the element that its attached to.
I'm working with a form that has both static and dynamic form elements (add textbox, etc), and while I can access the static elements via request.form, the dynamic elements cannot be accessed. I have the dynamic elements appended within a div that lies within a table.
Here is the javascript:
Code:
function add3<%=strGoalCount%><%=strObjCount%>() { var foo = document.getElementById('fooBar<%=strGoalCount%><%=strObjCount%>'); var numi = document.getElementById('theValue'); var num = (document.getElementById('theValue').value -1)+ 2;
I have a form built and on the onclick event I validate all of the fields and then if the form is ok, on the submit event I run a javascript function to set a cookie and download a file from the current window.
I have a cgi script provided by my web host to send the contents of the form through email but they only show me how to use the cgi script to send email through the submit event of the form.
I've have a function to take the value entered in a form text box, add 50 to it and put the result in another text box.
When I enter 650.5 I get 700.5 exactly how I'd expect. But when I enter -650.5 instead of getting -600.5 I get -650.050 as though it is failing to parse the float due to it being negative. My understanding of parseFloat was that it recognises negative numbers. Is there a nice simple way to get this to work?
I would like to submit a form depending on the success data of an ajax post.
Below is my jquery code; as you see #theform is the main form and before submitting the form I need to check the availability of the the date and time and the room using$.ajax. However it doesn't submit the main form if the date, time and the room is available.
required=["txtCal_Event_CalendarID","txt_TreatmentRoom","txtTreatmentID","txtTreatmentTypeID","datepicker1","datepicker2","timepicker1","timepicker2"]; emptyerror="Please fill out this field.";
I am making a call to a php file which right at this minute has no validation, all validation is been done by the jquery form plugin. the validation (xss prevention soon to be implemented) in the thanks fails I want to stop the processing of the form i.e. stop the return of success.
I'm trying to style a fugly advertisement that pops in on my page. Right now I have a standard setTimeout going, but it could take 2 seconds, or 5 seconds after document.ready triggers :/
Is there a way to somehow put an event on a div to watch for an ID to appear perhaps?
I am building a simple timer. It works ok, but doesn't do everything it is suppose to do. When pos1 reaches 1, it is suppose to reset the timer and display an alert message saying that it has reached the maximum time. It does that just fine but after it resets, it starts over automatically and I don't know why[code]
