JQuery :: Using $.ajax To Load A Separate Webpage And Send Custom Request Headers?
Jun 11, 2010
I'm trying to access a web application that allows single sign-on when it is passed the following HTTP Request headers:
AUTHENTIC: YES
AUTHORIZED: YES
USER: (user ID from active directory)
Here is the code I have so far:
$.ajax({
[Code].....
This script is within a blank webpage on my IIS server. Essentially, all the elements of the web app's UI get thrown within a div, but it doesn't seem to be loading the other parts of the page such as the <head>. I read on another thread that it is not a good idea to try and put everything within a div cause of the other html and head tags that already exist. Basically, what I want to do is access the webpage that has the above script and have it re-direct me to the Web Application's URL and adding in the custom HTTP Request headers.
I am developing a mobile web app which communicates with a wcf service that returns data in json format. The way security is handled is the user logins and recieves a token which is added to the http header. The login ajax request which passes the url strings to the service is using https protocol. This works fine. The other 2 ajax requests are also supposed to use https but when I do this the custom header isn't added. If I use http which is the old url, the custom header is added to http header. I have tested this using fiddler2 and firebug and for some reason it doesn't like https in the ajax request url.
function login_service() { //$.mobile.pageLoading(); var stringUsername = $('#txtUsername').val(); var stringPassword = $('#txtPassword').val();

I am trying to get a form to call a javascript function on submit to send an ajax request. The site sits on one server and the php target file on another. I get a status of 0. From what I read, this is because the php file sits on a different server. I do don't believe I can get around the files sitting on different servers.I can set the php file as the form action, but I do not want to redirect, just send a request to the other server to modify some values in a DB. If I can not send an ajax request between servers, I was thinking an alternative might be to set the php file as the form action, run the updates, and then have the page redirect me back. Is there a better way to get around this problem
Im trying to figure out if a public picasaweb userid exists or not. Its a pure client app, so no server-side proxies. The 1st method works only on FF & Chrome.
Really struggling trying to get 2 seperate sliders to work on my web page.
take a look at;
[URL]
not a spam its test site so nothing to gain from my end.
the slider at the top works fine, but the 3 boxes with the arrows underneath should scroll/slide back and forward when clicked. If I remove the js links for the top slider the bottom then works;
I'm trying to use .load to get a simple web page. In the documentation for the .load function, I see that I can just return parts of page. I pass through the <body> element in order to just get the body, and not the headers of the html document, however in FireFox, it seems to still be returning all the headers. How can I use .load to ignore the headers.
I am facing some problem with this when i am trying to sent the data in krnlAddComment1.asp page and there is only an insert query exists. after run the query successfully, response.write "...." revert back to me
My prob is that the huge amount of data (15MB of XML) that is loaded by an AJAX call, literally locks the browser while loading it into the DOM. Does any of you know if there is a way to prevent that. Btw - As you see I use jQuery and the ajaxManager plugin.
I worked with now in jQuery. Property however at present the following problem: [i]I provide a AJAX Request. the side is loaded, the parameters all conveyed and back receives I a complete HTML side. Now I would like to have only certain elements however from this side, like DIV, SPAN etc. How can I make with the AJAX Request return in such a way best, which I can select these elements thereby? Simply it would be unfortunately not functioned over the function $ (element), it even if I indicate the HTML Request as secondly parameter.[/i] Excused, for my bad English. ;-) Translatertool. There is unfortunately too many words, in order to describe my problem. ^^
I am using jquery to send an ajax request from my facebook app which is in iframe to my server. The ajax request works fine when the web app is running stand alone and out of facebook platform, but within facebook, the result that I get from my ajax request is blank !!! Here is the code I use:
I was guessing if it was possible, using jQuery, to have a link that, when clicked, opens the relative url and sends to it a post request. I'm trying to do this with the $.post function, but i found the problem that the request is sent, but the page isn't opened.
This is my code: <html> <head> <script type="text/javascript" src="jquery.js"></script>
Here is what I'm trying to do but the problem is "source.html" is not on a server somewhere. I am running everything locally. $('#container').load(source.html #sourceContent) Is there a way to do this exact thing but with a local file?
I've have a function to take the value entered in a form text box, add 50 to it and put the result in another text box.
When I enter 650.5 I get 700.5 exactly how I'd expect. But when I enter -650.5 instead of getting -600.5 I get -650.050 as though it is failing to parse the float due to it being negative. My understanding of parseFloat was that it recognises negative numbers. Is there a nice simple way to get this to work?
I have a relative path issue when using jQuery in that I am using the same ajax function sitewide and I don't know how I can send a request to a PHP file without needing to provide the full absolute path. For example, the below code works at top level, but will not work if called from inside a sub folder.
I have a php page which returns a table representing a query sent to a MySQL database. So far it has worked in every case except now that I'm trying to use it to call a stored procedure, in which case the readystate is staying at 1 and never completing.
I have logged the results of the php file both in an error log and looked at the response from the request using firebug, both of which show a correct result.
Why isn't this returning properly?
Here are the relevant javascript functions:
Code: function customizeType() { $("custom-header").innerHTML = ""; $("custom-top").innerHTML = "";
[Code]....
After the page loads, the error log shows correct results for all queries.
I have a Joomla website which are using VirtueMart. I want to watch the submit of a product (which is using AJAX) and when the request is succesful and complete then send a new XHR request to upload another part of the website.How do you think I should do with Mootools?I first success to do it but only by adding an event on the form submit. So when I click on the Add to Cart button, it is working but I would like to wait until the first request is complete.
After remembering that you can bypass any MAILFORM skulduggery by just putting 'mailto' in the form code along with your address, I've come up with the idea that it might just be possible to take the contents of each field and then write out an HTML page using that info and maybe have a few picture links alongside using Javascript and its variables.
If you don't understand, I'm thinking about e-cards. I do not have access to any CGI or ASP or anything on my host (it's free, though not Xoom or anything). Therefore I'd like to write an HTML email including a greeting and picture directly from a form after gathering the visitor's send details and greeting.
Is it possible to load a separate page into a div tag using Javascript? or doo I need to resort to C# and ASP.NET? What I have is a main page with one content div I wanted to switch based on which heading item a user chooses. I know I will probably need to set the other pages to a fixed width which is fine.Might it be easier to just make my content into an image and load the image? There will be a few lines of text in the image.
