I'm not sure whether this is a js or css issue, as it's css and js mixed thats causing an issue. ( I have added this to the css forum as well, but I haven't received any thing that really helped ).
Im not sure my subject decsription gives an exact description of what i am after but i will try and explain my requirements a bit better.I have an header menu there are items in this menu but there are a lot of them and if you try view on a normal 1024 x 760 you have to horizontal scroll to view all the items, but on my monitor 1920 x 1080 it is fine. I don't want to do it this way since I hate having to scoll both horizontal and vertical. I would like to be able to change the items on this header to become a rollover dropdown menu when they would normally be hidden becuase of the screen width. I have seen this done before I am just unsure about how to implement this.
[URL]. In the picture I have a picture div and a text div. The picture and text are related to one another. I want it that when you click the right or left arrow the pic and text change together. I dont really care how they change, slide, fade, or simple do a show/hide kind of effect. How to make one div have a slide show when you mouseover to right or left it moves.
My application displays a list of checkboxes to the user. Some of the boxes are related. For eg:
List of boxes: a b c d
Checkboxes a and c are related. If user checks a; c should automatically be checked and vice-versa. Same for de-checking. I need a function to do this.
when a user scrolls to the bottom of my page. i found .scroll which just tells me when there is a change to the scroll bar position.
i want to hide widget on pageload then have it pop-up when bottom of article is reached. and if the person scrolls back upm then it will dissapear again.
This is related to the pop-up window. Below is the function related to pop-up window. function openPopUpDetailsMultiple(seqNum ,controllername ) { if (!popUpDetails||popUpDetails.closed) { popUpDetails=window.open("GetSCEventAddData?schandle=<!.schandle>&objID=<!.objID>&seqnum="+seqNum+"&controllername="+controllername+,"popUpDetails","toolbar=1,location=0,scrollbars=1,width=600,height=300,resizable=1,left=200,top=200"); }else{ popUpDetails.focus(); popUpDetails.location="GetSCEventAddData?schandle=<!.schandle>&objID=<!.objID>&seqnum=" + seqNum; } }
The problem I'm facing now is in this piece of code: ><a href=javascript:openPopUpDetailsMultiple('"+ scEv[i].sceSeq+"''"+ scEv[i].sceCntr +"')><img src=images/NsaMoreDetails.gif border=0 height=16 width=16 align=middle alt='View more details'>More details</a></td></tr></table></td></tr></table>"); I do not know how to send these (scEv[i].sceSeq,scEv[i].sceCntr) arguments. What might be the delimiter for these arguments.
I posted this once, but it disappeared, and I have no notifications that I did anything wrong. I read the rules before posting and wasn't breaking any so I am not sure why it disappeared but here goes again.
I am trying to learn Javascript (particularly OOP) from a series of screencasts by Douglas Crockford. I have developed a theoretical "game" to build to illustrate it to myself better, and learn by example.
I must be misunderstanding how inheritance works, because my code is not producing the results I thought it would. Here is what I have, followed by an explanation of my understanding. $(function()
I want to load data after loading related php page. i used ajax and even jquery.
jquery was not sure this is jquery code:
But this and when i was using ajax it changes data, but unfortunately, the pay now button (pay pal) was not working. curser changes but button don't work...
I have a requirement in which, I need to capture a loan amount and the amount of down payment for that loan. According to the requirement, the user is going to enter enter the loan amount and then will enter the down payment in either percentage of the loan amount or an actual amount. I have designed a form to capture this information with three text fields, one each for loan amount, down payment in % and down payment in $.
So the user has the option of entering downpayment in $ or in %. If the user enter the down payment in $ then my code has to calculate the equivalent % value and populate the corresponding text field and vice versa. My question here is, what would be the best way to handle this situation.
Shall i just use the OnChange event of the text field to handle this scenario? If I do that wont I be running into a loop?
I am facing an issue with printing where I have to print receipts of a custom size. Each receipt is about 8 inch by 4inch. I am using window.print(). When a receipt is printed another 3 receipts are flushed out of the printer. I want only the printed receipt out of the printer. Am using a dot-matrix printer and the receipts are in a continuation (i.e around 1000 receipts attached to one another).
I have to print my cell phone call records but unfortunately my wireless provider displays the number I called only when mouse is hovered over Call details. I have 470 call records and copy pasting all those numbers when mouse is hovered over it will be one hell of a task. Is there any way I could save all the information related to Called Number and do not have to move my mouse for each and every number? Using my basic programming understanding.
(Though I know nothing about javascript), they are using some mouseover function that displays this information. The possibility of this information to be on the server is less because this information is even available when I switch off my wireless. I can paste that portion of the code. Saving this website using normal "Save as" does not save the required information. Is there any other way I can save this website will all its details or somehow disabling this mouseover function so that call details are not hidden anymore.
So I have an order form which gets all validated with fields, checkboxes, radiobuttons and so on...after submiting I would like to show pictures related to what was order/picked...as of right now when I click sumbit it just shows no "error message/validation errors" since the information is just correctly entered but I would now like to go to another page? clear current page and basically show images...say my radiobuttons was car selection with options bmw, audi, lexus ect...now after submiting a new page loads ontop? showing a picture of the brand selected? how would I go abouts doing this?
i know my summary is not the clearest so here goes....
the page www.philip ----- dusel .com
has several links to click ...all different images. they all link to the same page which is an image gallery. i would like for the new page to open with the related image enlarged in the gallery instead of always showing the first image in the list regardless of which link was clicked. i hope i am being clear.
ps what is the standard way of providing a link yet hiding it from the crawling robots?
I am trying to make a site for a photgrapher where the user see's thumbnails of his pictures, then when the pictures are clicked on I want them to open up in a dynamic content box.I can only assume that this is JS/AJAX coding that does this.I have found the following bit of code that does almost this. Except it performs the function on page load and not on mouse click and it opens one of two pages randomly.
var interstitialBox={ //1) list of files on server to randomly pick from and display displayfiles: ['samplecontent.htm', 'samplecontent2.htm'],[code]...
from what I can tell, each thumbnail would need their own bit of code that calls on a function related to the full size image url.
I have a rather annoying problem with Mac IE 5.2. I use a javascript function to determine the x, y position of the upper left corner of this image of the US. Since this image can be placed anywhere in the browser, the x, y position is not always (0,0). I am also trying to lay several dot images on top of this image so that when you click the dot the user can find out more information about certain states. So I determine the x, y position and add certain pixels so that the dots will be placed in the correct places in relation to the US image.
This works well with PC's IE. However, when I open this in Mac IE, the dots are either shifted too high up or too low in relation to the US image. Strange thing is, when I resize the browser, the dots literally jump to their correct places.
I'm trying to create a menu in javascript. I've created the bitmaps with text over the top of them. The problem i'm having is that the positions aren't correct. If I wrap the code in PRE tags, then this fixes it. But this seems to be a bit of a hack, as apposed to finding what the bug is. I've included examples of the problem below:
Is there some possibility with php to put the horizontal scroll bar of the web brwser into the center if the "width" of web page are bigger then the "width" of the web browser screen? So I don't need to scroll to right if I open the page, but the horizontal scroll bar will be positioned in the center. That code should do the same think like I when I take the scroll bar and put it in the center position, but this should be happen when I load the page automatically.
How do I put "cont" div on the right of "leftmenu" without using "absolute"?? The screenshot was little bit cropped out and there is no problem on width.
I was wondering if it is possible to set the positioning of an element in CSS? What I am looking to do, is have a set of 3 boxes on the right of the page and base the size of the boxes by %. Problem is, while I can position the first and third boxes relative to the top and bottom of the page, repectively, depending on the size of the browser, i can't firmly set the positioning for the middle box off of the top or bottom.
Ideally, I would like to use JS to determine the height of the first box (which is based on a % of the page size), and then set the top of the second box = the height of the first box + 5px for a buffer. Code:
I'm trying to write the code for an AJAX script. The goal is to let the visitor send a comment through a form (obviously). The form is inside a div that pops up when the visitor clicks on an "add a comment" link and when the form is submitted the result of the form processing apears inside the same div which resizes to fit the size of the result.
The problem I'm trying to solve is that although the resizing and the positioning of the div works for Firefox it doesn't for IE7. In IE7 it does the resizing but the positioning fails Code:
