I need to send form variable to a lightbox. What this page suppose to do is user will insert his ID, click Papar ~Display in English, the page will refresh and his examination result will be output in the lightbox. More information on my test page here: [URL] paste 158756873427 into the form and click Papar. That lightbox popup is a remote file so I can paste mysql query in it. Also its not working actually.
I already set the query manually like this:
PHP Code:
$result = mysql_query("SELECT * FROM exam_data WHERE no_KP='158756873427'");
What I need is the form from infopendidikan.php to send its variable to the lightbox remote page resultpopup.php. Also you can click on the query popup on the left menu to see the fixed query. resultpopup.php need to retrieve variable from infopendidikan.php.
Anyway this is infopendidikan.php code:
PHP Code:
<?php
//if the "submit"variable does not exist form has not been submitted display initial page
if (!$_POST['submit'])
{ ?> .....
If I can get the result in the lightbox without page refresh that will be more cool. The lightbox I'm using is facebox from [URL].
I am pretty comfortable with jQuery and the validation plugin as well.
I am having an issue where:
User clicks a button it opens a lightbox (I am using Fancybox) - a form appears inside the modal. The data is submitted via AJAX and I am trying to validate the form before the form within the lightbox is submitted.
My button with the click handler right now does a GET to a server to send the data. Along with some other JavaScript. What is the best way for me to validate my form within a lightbox, and submit after it validates. Sending AJAX.
I have a page that submits a form via javascript; however, I wish to submit a variable form name, depending on what button is pressed.
So, pressing button 1 will submit frmGeneral1 Pressing button 2 will submit frmGeneral2 pressing button 3 will submit frmGeneral3 and so on
In my javascript, I have:
And I get an error stating object doesn't support this property or method.
The PrimaryKey is a variable passed to my Validate function, which is what is used to define each form on the page (the page could contain up to 500 forms)
Can I pass a javascript variable to another page without submit the form? I have page1 with the selection and some links. I would like the user to select it without submitting a form, but I can get it from another page when clicking on the link. So I would think about the onChange function may help, but don't know how.
What I need to do is to pass a conditional variable to the target URL, when the form is submitted, depending on which graphic button is pressed.
So, the form already sends several variables when the form is submitted (at the onclick event). I've confirmed this by capturing the HTTP POST variables and displaying them when the page executes.
Now, depending on which graphic button is selected, I would like to pass another variable.
For example, when the Create button is pressed, I would like to pass create=true (or something signifying that 'create' is set) to the target URL......
On my form I have 3 submit buttons which handle different things.I am looking for a way to stop or continue form execution with a confirm box on the third submit button and the third only.I can't use onsubmit because that will trigger on all three buttons.
In the following .submit function, I am attempting to grab the value of the selected option in the facilityCodes dropdown list when I click the submit button and then during the submit function,select the facilityCode again in the dropdown list when the page reloads and then disable the list so that the user cannot change it.However,the situation is when I reload the page after the submit button is clicked the dropdown defaults to the first option and the list is enabled.I apparently am not understanding how.submit works so that I'm selecting the option I'm defining in my code below and then disabling the list AFTER the page reloads due to an error on the page. My question is how can I accomplish this?Here is my code:
$(function() { $("#ARTransferForm").submit(function() { var msgsCount = 0;[code]....
It is a small search engine, when you press on search, it has to open a lightbox with the results, but i do not know how to target the lightbox.code...
The following will submit the form data to popup by clicking the submit button. I want it will submit the form automatically to the popup, there is no submit button in this page. Basically this page should not show up.
I'm using mailchimps signup box (they don't have a decent forum to ask on) on my website and want to adjust the submit button and change it to a normal link. Here's the button that submit's the form:
I have a page with many forms that I need to change from a post to an ajax call. That part is working, no problem, but now I want to disable the submit button while it's waiting on the server response and then re-enable it when the response comes back.
I can't figure out what my selector should be to get the submit button of the form that's being submitted. What should I be using instead? Also, if the call errors out, I'd like to just post the form as usual.
I have a php form and it has 3 submit buttons namely "delete" , "update_quantity" and "place_order".They all work fine but I want to build in a check for each one just in case the user click one of the buttons by mistake.So Each one must have a different message like for delete it must be, "Are you sure you want to delete Record nr ......" OK or Cancle. And for update " Are you sure you want to update Quantity to....." OK or Cancle.
I have a form without a submit button. It gets submitted programmatically with document.form.submit().
What I need is to be able to disable this form's submit capability on page load and then reenable it at some later point. Remember there is no 'input' button element.
Code: What I've tried so far is like this: savedSubmit = document.inputs.submit; document.inputs.submit = None; then later: document.inputs.submit = savedSubmit;
I'm not efficient enough at Javascript to change around the lightbox or prototype code. But I was wondering if anyone knew how to validate a form within the lightbox then redirect back to the previous page. I can activate the lightbox but the second I click submit it closes it regardless of any validation.
I can however read the POST data from the original page.
Does any one know an example of how this can be done?
Just wondering if anyone has ever managed to validate a form that is loaded in a lightbox? I've search everywhere, so it's either really hard and nobody knows or so simple that nobody thinks it's worth mentioning!
Overview
I have managed to create a form that is validated using a jquery script. Works fine, when loaded as a regular .html page.
Problem
However, when I load the form (from a clickable link) that displays it in a lightbox, all validation disappears! Although the form still displays and submits data.
Is there a special way to validate forms in a lightbox?
Or can anyone recommend a lightbox script/plugin that comes with data validation?
I've used CoffeeCup Form Builder to create a nice form for my site and would like to have it open in a lightbox/thickbox, or open in a layer? (If it matters, do have an iFrame on the page, FYI).
I've got LightBox Gone Wild to work nicely, except it won't load the form. If I open the HTML page (directly) the form works fine.
This is the code on the HTML page:
Okay. I used CoffeCup Form Builder for my form and wanted it to open like the examples at their website: [url]. Having it on the page or in a pop-up was okay, but I like the 'LightBox' effect.
Anyway, I wanted to share the code in case others can use it. It uses an iframe that opens in a new layer. You can probably improve on it and change the size, etc., but it's a start. One thing I'm planing is to use the CSS and JS in an external file rather than in the <head>:
I want to know how to make lightbox effects with the idea of switching between pages using the lightbox. Please follow this link: [URL] while pressing on "submit an inquiry " it will show a form. All that I need is to make the same idea but using registration form. First page: contains user data ---> on pressing next .. I want to be on same lightbox box effect but using next page that contains his work data and on third page he will have a message that his registration is done successfully. So, how to switch between pages in lightbox effects?
I currently have a slideshow working on my client's site, but I can't get lightbox to work properly on it. [URL]...
Is there a way to fix the existing slideshow to work with lightbox? Or is there another way of doing this (keeping the same look that is currently in place)?
I've created a table in my document, presenting a list of items, one can 'select' by clicking on it... (Kinda like a menu, you make your choice from) But since this table can get very long, I've put something of a 'search-form' on top, which enables the user to make a selection of products from the list.
Now, the form uses a "post" method, and submits to itself, using the form action. Some PHP script will make sure that the form is filled out already, the next time it's presented.
The table, containing a list of products is presented, below the form. When a user clicks on a product, the product should be "selected". At first i just used a <a href="zoeken.php?prod_id=24"> link to do this, but the problem is that my form won't remain in tact.
So now, the global idea is to submit the form after setting a hidden form-field using JavaScript, using a onClick event.
I've got a pretty basic form that i need to be able to "submit" by simply loading it in the browser address, not click the submit button. is there a way to do this? Here is the code:
if i load just http://www.mysite.com/dir/submition.cfm?z=1&Myid=1, it doesnt do anything because it doesnt have the userID variable, but im not sure how to include that into the address...
I am building a site of which I would like the contact information and form to pop up from the button on the menu/header frame into the main frame as a lightbox ...no matter which page is loaded in the main frame.
I was trying to experiment with the archived "jQuery Contact form for your website" tutorial from web devlopment blog . com. (I didnt want to post a link to it as I dont want to possibly flag the moderators)
Go to [URL] to see the layout and what I am going for.
How do I create a Contact form which appears in a lightbox style window?Is this possible? I'm looking to have it pop up infront of the current window and can then be faded out like the lightbox animation.
I have a series of pages which make up a questionnaire. It's all done in PHP and I'd like to have two submit buttons (well, images really) so that one submits the form and takes them to the next page, the other submits the form and takes them to the previous page.
The redirect value is set using PHP so I'd like some Javascript to set that variable, then submit the form so that I can accomplish this requirement.
Is this possible? I know Javascript can submit a form, and also can send a variable to a PHP script, but I'm not sure how to do this combination.
I have a form where i use normal buttons with javascript so i can have multiple actions and I don't use a submit button. I can submit the form fine using document.adminform.submit(); but i have an onsubmit="return submitForm"; attached to my <form> tag.
If i had a submit button, it would call the javascript function, but seeing as i don't have a submit button, how can i call that function. here is the bits causing problems
when the save button is clicked, a javascript function is called which does the ocument.adminform.submit(); but i need to do call the submitForm() function at the same time
