I have a website with an admin area for my clients. The input text is then inserted in a page on their website - inside a <p> tag. What I'm trying to do is locate a script that would allow them to use such tags as <b>, <i>, <u>, but not others like <p>, <div>, etc. Does someone know of such a script?
I am creating a small CMS module for a client. I created a little form and when they click Submit, it goes straight out into an include (.inc) file, which is connected to the web page to be displayed.
The trouble I am having is that I'd like to create an additional button that will insert some text (certain html tags to make their life easier, etc) - I got it to work, actually. The script executes and the text is inserted - but once the script runs and the page refreshes (or whatever it does), the text then disappears. The only way I can seem to get it to stay put is when I use "onmouseup" instead of "onclick" - which means that every time the user accidentally mouses over the thing, it inserts the text.
I have just setup jeditable for a text area and this works fine however when I activate / click on the text area to bring up the editor, the content is filled with br tags (example below). How to convert the br tags into tags before it is displayed?
I found a regular expression from a website that says it can be used to remove all HTML tags, but I would like to understand what each of the symbols mean. I tried to search on web but i was so confused about it. Does anyone have a clue what each symbol means and how does it find all html tags?
I am generating a string from AJAX data which contains forms and submit buttons. I then try to assign this string to a div using innerHTML. This works fine in IE but Firefox strips form tags and every thing in between form tags. How to solve this issue
does anyone know if there is a way to strip an entire form upon submission, of commas? i can do it field by field, but since there is over 30 fields, it seems a bit silly, if there is a more efficient way of doing things...
Is it possible to make a textarea required only if a certain value is selected from a <select>?
[URL]...lightweight text editor. I want to be able to submit without a page reload and I can't seem to figure out how to override whatever code the author created to disable the value of the text area field unless the form is formally submitted using the submit button. Additionally I don't seem to be able to attach any events to the submit button. I'm not sure you will be able to help me but thought it's worth a shot. Here's the form:
The 'validate' function would then store the reference to the field and the validation information. On submit, we validate all the fields by searching all the references to see if they're in the form we want. (Have to work that one out too!)
I'd prefer not to have to add script elements to do the validation. I'd prefer to be able to store it in an attibute to the field. Of course I could add it to an eventhandler for the field such as: <INPUT type="text" name="state" size=4 onFocus="add_validation(this, "format:AAA?")">
But that's still messier than I'd like it. Of course, all JS cases, add_validation would have to check to see if it already knew about the field!
Everything works fine except for the counter/adding on to theName ( newField[i].name = theName + counter). I know exactly what the problem is... I just don't know how to fix it. If I remove the li tags, the counter will work fine and increment each "name". As soon as I put the li (see code above) tags back (or any html tag - I have tested others as well) - it breaks again and won't increment the name - it just submits the names without numbers and alas I have no usable post data. how to keep the html formatting there and still get the counter to increment the name?
