I am trying to make a simple form that splits two words that a user enters has entered into a text box into separate querystrings. The user enters two words into a textbox and clicks submit. I then want use javascript to:
-Check the user has only entered two words,
-Trim any leading and trailing spaces,
-Split the two words into separate boxes and submit the data to a different page.
Address Line Fields: text should be input into these fields manually Primary Address field: text should be dynamically populated into this field based on the text manually input from the Address Line fields.
The below are the manual input fields:
Address Line 1: Text1 Address Line 2: Text2 Address Line 3: Text3 Address Line 4: Text4 Address Line 5: Text5 Address Line 6: Text6 City: Text7 State/County/Region: Text8 Zip Code/Post Code: Text9
The below is the Primary Address field which should look like this when the text has been input into the manual fields:
In other words, as I type the text in the Address Line fields, the text is added to the Primary Address field or textbox separated by commas automatically/dynamically.
Is this at all possible with javascript and is there some code that can do it?
I'm looking for a way to write(type) within two or more textboxes at the same time. So if I would write ''hello'' in textbox A, this word will show in al other textboxes (type input - not textarea).
I have 2 textboxes (textbox1 and textbox2) and one hidden field (hidden). I want the value of the hidden field to be both values of textbox1 and textbox2 separated with "-".
How do i split with multiple delimiters( i think )? im trying to split my split with multiple delimiters different values but i cant find a good way to do so.
I am resorting to you for help with a html form that uses javascript to validate data. the form is an invoice for a trip order where the user can select a trip location out of a listbox, a number of people traveling, and where they wish to stay(ex. hotel, tent, etc.) after the user selects one for each category and hits the "add to invoice" button, the fields in the invoice should get filled with the corresponding information. Now my question is how can I write code that will insert information in the next row down after the previous row has been filled? basically what logic and programming structure do I need in my function that will know when the first row in the invoice is filled. I'm struggling at the part where when the "add to invoice" button is clicked. some data is added to the invoice, and if the user wants to book another trip, the second trip should be appended in the second row of the invoice. what is happening in mine is that whenever I book another trip, the first one gets overwritten when in fact it should be left intact and the data should get appended in the next row down.
<html> <head> </head> <script type="text/javascript"> function addit()
I am not sure, if this works. I make a function call with the ajax option of jquery. If I try this, the whole response data is shown in the specific #div.Is there any possibility to load only the content of "#div" from some.php?
I have a JSP page with several forms on it. Some of these forms are generated dynamically, and each of them submits some information to a database.
Handling one form is easy, as I can simply make the form post to itself, and handle the data using a single bean. Since I have multiple forms, I now have a problem. Several of the forms on the page handle the same type of data (same input names), and a 'setproperty *' call for each of the form beans would change data in several beasn, not just the form/bean that sent the data.
I am attempting to write a separate JSP with a single bean that handles a form submission. However, I'm not sure how to make this page go back to the referring page from which the data was submitted.

I'm having a problem with one of my Labs and My TA is not answering emails.I need to make a button, that when you click it, turns the bgColor blue, when you click it twice, it turns bgColor yellow, and a third time turns it orange. The tricky part is, I need to use an internal CSS style sheet for the color, and a function for the javascript. Here is what I have so far, but I'm completely stuck.
I have this script which is set to generate random anagrams of my name in rotation which works fine, but I can't work out how to put multiple instances of it on one page.
I was just wondering if it's recommended to have all your javascript contained in a single unified block or if it's okay to have them spread out across the document? I find the second approach ensuring JS is located near code that is directly associated increases readability, but I'm worried it may have a negative effect on performance, however minor.
I have a form that generates a dynamic number of rows from a value passed in via querystring. I have a one static row in my form with a "master" checkbox that I have deemed "Select All:". I want to be able to select all and deselect all the other checkboxes beneath it in the column by clicking on it. I've gotten it partially working. I can click the "master" checkbox and it will set the .checked property of all the others to true. BUT how do I reverse the process and turn them all off? Here is my funcion: Code:
I have tried a number of variations, like adding "javascript:" in front of the first call, and returning True of False from the first function, but Icant get the second function to fire after the first one has.
by using alerts, and wathcing what IS occuring, I know that the first is being called, but the second isn't.
I did this once some years back, but I can't seem to rember how I did, it, and none of the example that I have located have helped, so can anyone point me in the right direction?

When designing a web page, you may come across a situation where you want to combine content from multiple websites in a single window. Could the "iframe" tag makes this possible? If so, as it will separate your page design into several sections and display a different website in each one?
