I am using this script called virtualpaginate, I have it all working but there is one thing that I would like to change. currently it displays all the paginated page number, I have 14 so it looks like "1 2 3 4 5 ... 14", What I would like to do is change the script so it will show " 1 2 3 4" once you click 4, 5 will appear once you click 5, 6 will appear and so on. I am completely stuck on how I can archive this. The section of the code I need to change is below:
Code: virtualpaginate.prototype.paginate_output_flatview=function(flatviewcontainer, divpos, anchortext){ var flatviewhtml="" var anchortext=anchortext || new Array() for (var i=0; i<this.pagecount; i++){ if (typeof anchortext[i]!="undefined") //if custom anchor text for this link exists flatviewhtml+='<a href="#flatview" rel="'+i+'">'+anchortext[i]+' |</a> ' //build pagination link using custom anchor text else flatviewhtml+='<a href="#flatview" rel="'+i+'">'+(i+1)+'</a> | ' //build pagination link using auto incremented sequential number instead } flatviewcontainer.innerHTML=flatviewhtml this.paginate_build_flatview(flatviewcontainer, divpos, anchortext) }
I have what I thought was a fairly simple problem that I would be able to solve on my own, but the code I have found is just too complicated for me to understandI think what i have is similar to the knapsack problem, but I have a really simple version of/~moshe/recor/knapsack/knapsack.html#defSay I have a relatively small array of numbers:2, 2, 3, 3, 4, 4, 5, 5, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10. I just need to verify true or false if a combination of these numbers will add up to 21. The numbers will obviously be changing, ( and in array size), i guess i could just use if statements but it would be stupid and go on for ages.Could anyone point me in the direction of some simple code, or easy to understand way to go about this problem?
I am working on trying to create a Picture Bingo JavaScript. I am using the standard Bingo Card Generator and it works great however, I need help coding the script so that the number are associated with a picture for example everytime number 12 would show up on the card an image would replace the number. Here is the code that I am using:
I want to build a web form that will allow users to enter 3 different numbers and get a result. The answer is arrived at by the following. Enter 3 variable A, B, and C. Then A / B = D. Then C / D = the Answer.Is there a way to set that up as a single click script? Everything I have tried has failed hard.:mad:
have a form with three fields for home phone, work phone & mobile phone.I've got jquery to validate that the numbers entered are the right format, i.e. using the following with custom methods for the phoneUK etc.The thing is I only need one of these numbers. I have been trying *all day* to try and get this to work but no joy. I know I need to group them somehow but can't figure it out.I want it so I get a single message if all fields are left empty and then if a field does have an entry then it's validated to ensure its a number.
I have been presented with: Draw a flowchart and write a javascript program which will accept two numbers from a user and will determine whether the second number is a factor of the first. This is determined by dividing the first number by the second and checking if the remainder is 0. This is made easier if you find out what the operator does. The output should be in the form 4 is not a factor of 6 and 3 is a factor of 6. I have tried a few attemps and yet still not sure what the problem is :confused:
I'm new to javascript and I'm trying to write a program where a user inputs 2 numbers and hits a "button" and the even numbers between those 2 numbers print out. Here is the code I have so far, but it's not working and I can't seem to fix it. I've been working on this for 3 days now and I know it's something stupid. code...
Now if someone clicks on the row with content "help" (2nd), I want to catch the click with jquery .click() and know within the jquery code that the user clicked on the 2nd <tr> element within table#tbl.
If someone clicks on the <tr> with content "this", my jquery code has to return 5, because its the 5th row.
I'm look to create a kind on instruction manual where the user can slide through pages. Rather than using an image slider, which scroll's through the images (or content), I want to stack the pages on top of each other.1. Click NEXT and Page 1 slides into view.2. Click NEXT again, and Page 2 slides out on top of Page 13. Click PREV and page 2 slides back, out of viewI started a fiddle here, showing the slide of page 1. But I'll need a way to count the pages, and for the NEXT and PREV links to know which pages to slide.
I'm trying to create an image gallery using a ul with an id of #gallerylist,where the images are contained in the li items. I would like the images to .fadeIn() sequentially, i.e. looping through the li items one by one. I've had a go with the .each() method, but the images all appear together, which isn't what I'd like.
Here's my basic code so far.. $(function () { //select first image from the gallerylist ul $('#gallerylist li:first img') // once the image has loaded... .load(function () { // set the image hidden by default $(this).hide(); // select the li container for the image $(this).parent() // remove the loading class .removeClass() // then insert the image .append(this); // fade the image in $(this).fadeIn('slow'); })});
I'm trying to create a list of questions and answers, with the questions hidden on page load. They get hidden by this Javascript (to avoid breaking the site for those without JS):
Code: function init() { var dds = document.getElementById("qanda").getElementsByTagName("dd"); for (var ddid=0; ddid<dds.length; ddid++){
[Code]....
how I can go about displaying the <dd> tags again? I've tried Google, but not being familiar with Javascript terminology, haven't got very far!
In my web site I have a jquery tab. When clicked a tab I want to show a div which writes loading [ <div class="loading"><p>Loading...</p></div> ] and hide it when the clicked tab content is shown. Is there a way to do this?

The following function shows a list of Counties populates by a PHP page:
I would like to now, when a user clicks on a County, they are shown a list of pubs based on that County (so, I'll create a new PHP page WHERE County = 'County' or something?)
At the moment, when a user clicks on a County this function is passed:
So, passing a value through so I can modify the SQL in the PHP page to filter the counties?
I need to use the this keyword to differentiate which div class name needs to show. Currently, my code below on '.bioclick' click event, every bio_desc is displayed or showed. I just want to show the current clicked'.bioclick' child '.bio_desc'. I tried using the this keyword but it did not work.
When you visit that page, all that is loaded is and image with a "Click to play" button. Then when you click on the image, all the flash elements are loaded in place of the image. How did they do this?
I know you can do this with an external html file but I want to do it without an external html page so I can integrate it into wordpress.
I have a form that is used to generate and Email (this is done with PHP), in this form i have two buttons one is to send the email and one is to preview the email. Currently I have my script set up so when the send button is pressed the form action will be set to go to the send_email.php page, and when the preview button is clicked it will go to the preview.php page. When a user clicks on either button it opens in the same window, What i want is when the preview button is clicked a popup will come up with a a preview of the email.
This is how it is currently working.
function to change action:
Code:
function changeAction(url){ document.email_list.action = url; } send and preview buttons:
[Code]....
So basically I just need the preview to open in a popup window when the form is submitted using the preview button. I don't have any code for this because I don't really know where to start, A
UPDATE: I got the preview to come up in a popup but I can not get the data from the form submission into that popup window.
I need to show/hide certains divs when a link is clicked.These are my divs:
div1 div2 div3 div4 div5
I will have several links. Depending on which link is clicked it will hide/show several divs simultaneously For example, if link1 is clicked it will hide div1, div2 and div3 and show div4 and div5.
I want to have several text links (not buttons) on a page and when someone clicks a link text appears explaining the link. If they click on a different link the text is replaced with the new text.
Do you know how is it possible insert a windows that contains text (terms of use) and that block and turn dark the page until you click on the "accept" button?
And if possible store a cookie to skip show it to persons that already clicked on it.
