When you visit that page, all that is loaded is and image with a "Click to play" button. Then when you click on the image, all the flash elements are loaded in place of the image. How did they do this?
I know you can do this with an external html file but I want to do it without an external html page so I can integrate it into wordpress.

was wondering if I could get some direction on something that I have been wondering about for a while. There have several flash video players that I have seen that only start to load/play the video when the object is visible on the screen.
For instance, if I click a link to an html page with an auto playing flv on it, and then minimize the window. The video will only start to play/load once I maximize the window again. The other instance I have seen it is with the position of the page. So if an flv is placed onto a long html page, all the way at the bottom, it will only begin to load/play once I have scrolled to make it visible.
I have done some searching but have not been able to determine what this would even be refered to as. Is it controlled by Javascript or Actionscript, or is this just a the way flash player functions?
With the dreaded embedded video issue? I have code to embed video into my site using object for IE and embed for firefox. This works fine but now I also wish to dynamically change the source of the video depending on which link is clicked. I know how to acheive this but I believe that my source changing code for firefox is flawed

I have a video (.wmv) that has markers in it one can access these markers in video players like "Windows Media Player" at "view" -> "file markers"
I want to embed the video object in an HTML page and be able to let the user jump to these markers via JavaScript or such. I'm a relative newcomer to jQuery (and for that matter an inexperienced web builder) but I've really enjoyed using the jQuery UI and plugins as I work to redo my site. My problem is this. My site includes many video progressive download files. I have tried to combine either jQuery UI (Accordian) or a plugin (nivoSlider) (not both at the same time) with a video embed using SWFObject. For some reason the combination cause my video playback to stutter.
Here are two test pages. They access they same mp4 files but in Test_1 I have disabled the nivoSlider js. The videos playback smoothly in Test_1 but in Test_2 the playback stutters. [URL]

I have a page, which is actually a photo gallery with a table having 3 rows. First row shows the full screen size pic. Second row displays the Caption of that image and third row shows thumbnail view of six different images and the previous and next button.this is the sample layout:

My requirement is whenever the user click on the thumbnail view, which is in the 3rd row, the corresponding full screen size pic should open in 1st row of the table.As my photo gallery should be having more than 6 pics, lets take 20 pics, I want to show only 6 thumbnails in 3rd row at a time. Whenever user press "Next" button the 3rd row having 6 thumbnails should show other 6 thumbnails and previous button should show previous 6 thumbnails.

I have a php page that essentially builds a pay report in the form of a table. The php side builds the page properly, though it took some time to get the table rows onmouseover and onmouseout functions to work for row highlighting. Now the issue is the table row's onclick function.

In my javascript function, the writeln() calls are for testing to see if the even is even firing. but nothing gets written to the page. Basically I want the row with the users name to be clickable which will show the details in the hidden div associated with the user.
My Client wants the Flash walk-out video to only show once per visitor.URl...As it is now if you go to his home page the video shows again.How do I make it only show once per visitor?

I'm using the simple jQuery below to hide/show either a flash video using our Brightcove account or a slideshow of images. If you click Video, the video displays. If you play the video and then click on Slideshow the video stops playing and you see the image slideshow. This works beautifully in everything but IE. If you play the video and then click on the Slideshow link, the sound of the video bleeds through the slideshow. I've used conditional commenting to remove the object using $("object").remove(); but I'm not sure how to restore the object.

[URL]..Default.aspx I have both a carousel with images andalso animagemap(notnot published yet)with coords that when clicked i want to write to a cookie file which image or image map coordinate was clicked, so when they are hyperlinked to the next page the correct div opens based on first reading the cookie written to on the previous page. Anybody have a basic script for reading and writing to a cookie using jquery in this fashion?

I want a container (div below), and 3/4 thumbnails below it. When an image is selected it shows the image, when a video is selected it plays the video in the div. I don't want any controls in the div (next image or video controls. Very basic. Anyone seen anything like this using jquery?

I'm faced with a problem from my employer on making a flash video play when an image is rolled over. In a sense, with many images on the page (which represent a video), the user can preview a small sample of that clip when rolled over by the mouse. I know that when the image is rolled over I must somehow bring the player infront of the image using z-index, but can't seem to work out the details oh how to get it to play.
Does anyone have any examples I can draw from in order to help me complete this task?
Can you have a direct link to a image / video ?
On my page you have to go to the page then the section then click on the image / video. What if you wanted to give a direct link, so the user could go to that link and the image / video would load up bypassing all the other steps?
I am using ContentFlow from [URL] It is very well documented on their website. I got the whole thing working great on my site. What I don't know is how to change the ActiveItem onclick to just bump it over to the next image as if the next image had been clicked. As of right now it opens the image source in a self window. I don't want that. Can anyone give me a clue or maybe the whole answer on how to get it to click over to the next image? I believe the answer lies in the contentflow_src.js file.

I'm trying to create a video box on a website that plays a youtube video and then automatically plays random recommended videos with no break in playback. An endless playlist created by youtube based on the initial video. Youtube uses Javascript API. I have never used Javascript before but i'm just trying to get the video to play as above. There are few tutorials online and I couldn't find anyone trying to do a similar thing.
View 5 Replies View RelatedWe are having an issue with the video playing on our client's site. The video plays fully locally but not fully once set live on the any of the browsers, it plays just the first 15secs, then it stops.
Can anyone share some ideas as to how we can resolve this. The player is in Flash, and uses an eternal XML file for the video. We have checked and all connection are correct.

I'm trying to adapt the following plugin:
youtubeplaylist
so that when you click on the thumbnails it also displays the video description underneath the video, a count, i.e. 1 of 3 etc. and previous and next buttons. Should I be using another plugin or is there a way with this one?
