I am using rockstories module in joomla for slide show. When I browse site with www, it works fine. But when I browse site without www, the image in slide show doesn't loads and I get a javascript error :

In another page I call one HTML file by the function .load with some imgs sources exactly as I have in my main page slideshow that is working well. The problem is that this last slideshow (that I call the images with the .load function) is not working properly as you can see here (too hard to explain, better just see, 1st thumbnail). I am using hte plug in galleria, and I have got it working in a stand alone version with the same images and and folder structure. The difference may be that I have the content nested in these div tags? to create tabs. i really don't know.

I want the slideshow to be in pause mode when the page loads. I can add a button to resume but can't figure out how to pause on load.I've tried several things. Here's the last attempt that didn't work.

i have a photo slideshow that loads in the header so when the page is loaded the slide show is there on the left.
it looks like this (page layout)

where it says image i am adding an image, that colum is controlled by the header so i added a div in there for the image.
what is happening is that since the image is small and the slideshow is large, when the page loads the single image pops up for a second where the slide show is, then it moves down on the page where it should be. I know this is caused by the fact that the image loads faster than the slideshow so we see the image first in that space.
what i am trying to do is pause the single image load until the slideshow loads,
but i dont know how?
I cant move the image down and load it in the body because that left side column is controlled by the header slideshow it has to be part of it when it loads.
has to be a way to make the slide show load on the page and then the image.

I have done a few improvements to the autocomplete module, to fix problems and improve functionality:
Added selectOnly option to autoselect a result if there's only one. This may save you a click. Moved the loading indicator to the left side, in case the field is rtl. Requires a small plugin I made, attached here. A css entry is being added to this effect. The included css file has this, but as opposed to the main autocomplete.css, colors are given as names.
Added substrings, and substringsSeparators. As opposed to multiple, which deals with a list of elements separated by a fixed string, substringSeparators is a string made of chars, that each and any of them provide a separator between autocompletable strings. It supports editing a program with a closed list of keywords, and operators and spaces as separators.
Added extraFields, a list of names or ids (if prefixed with #) of other fields to provide as fieldname=value params to the ajax query. In case names are provided, they are expected to be inputs in the same form as the input itself. More complex relationship may be found by adding suitable callbacks to extraParams, which I'd only ask to receive the $input and the key name as parameters.

When the page loads all the images kind of load very quickly causing a flicker, and then the slideshow begins.
I've got a list of modules, and when I click on one of them it expands displaying the content. When you expand them, a little image on the right changes from a down arrow (v) to an up arrow (^), but it's changing on all of the modules rather than just the one.

It's pretty obvious what my question is; how do I get it so the image only changes on the module that you expand?

Is this even possible? I don't want/can't preload random content and have it hidden. I could probably do this the simple way with js. Emptying the old content and replacing it with the new random content but I need the animation. I'll keep "decoding" the documentation while waiting for a response.

I am trying to write a script to display pictures. I have the following code which works OK for displaying the next or prior picture. I know there are plenty of scripts out there for this, but I want to do it myself. So, I'll worry about the pause/play later. I dont know how to write the image using javascript. My problem that I currently want to fix is the first picture displayed is not initialized; that is, the variable I guess. I am passing the directory name, which is this first function. I've got the Random Image Slideshow script from javascript.com and have it placed in my site where I want it. Now how do I get it to read where I've got the images I want displaying? I've got a script at present which allows me to cycle through images stored in an array as a slide show on a timed basis per each one.What I would like to do is have a 2nd array which has .wav files and when the first image is shown the first sound clip in the 2nd array plays and when finished the 2nd image shows followed by the playing of the 2nd sound clip in the array.If It is not possible to move images when the sound finishes I will set the length but would like to play the sound clips with the image.My code is shown below :

I'm going to set up a fade-in/fade-out slideshow, probably with jquery, that will loop through a list of images. But I only want the very first image to be shown once and then not again, even if the screen is refreshed. I don't know much about how to do that but I'm guessing it has something to do with a session, or cookies?
View 10 Replies View RelatedI had posted this issue previously regarding my Ajax site navigation module not loading correctly. It would load on certain parts of the site and not others. After some research I have discovered that I need to redirect from "www.mydomain.com" and make a call to "mydomain.com" instead. I thought a 301 .htaccess redirect would work but according to the site that sold me the template the script in my configure.php file must be changed. This is what configure.php looks like now.

Alrighty so here's what I have. Live example: [URL] It's a image slideshow that dynamically gets all the images (via php) in the current directory and puts them into the slideshow array. The array then randomly displays the images in the slideshow (via javascript). There are 5 images in the folder rotateimage which also has the php script getimages.php in it. Currently only the first image fades in however I want all the images to fade in as the first one does.

I am using a slideshow and want to basically have an 'image loading' whilst all the images load before the slideshow. Is there a way to do this? So far I have figured the best way around this is to have a GIF as a background image that says the loading message, and then once the slideshow loads over the top its fine, however im guessing this is'nt the right way to do this. I am using this slideshow set to just loop:

I trying to get the image in the masthead to cycle through a small number of images. The image is the background-image of the div 'masthead'.
It works in Firefox but I'm getting an error in IE. The error is 'invalid argument' and refers to the j increment. I can't see the prob.
Also the slideshow is a bit abrupt and I need to make the images fade into each other. My old method and examples I've seen on the web don't seem to work. Does anyone know how to do it? Code:
