I have succesfully applied the datepicker to a blank textbox. However, when I apply the datepicker to a textbox with the initial value dynamically set to display a value from a database, the date picker genertes an error when anything on it is selected. The datepicker will display when the trigger icon is selected but you cannot select anything from the date picker without generating the following errors: When selecting:
a day: 'undefined' is null or not an object (ui.datepicker.js line 767) a month or year: 'input' is null or not an object (ui.datepicker.js line 755) a back or forward arrow: 'settings' is null or not an object (u.i datepicker.js line 1137) I have looked at these lines in the file, but I have no idea where to begin.
Can i use single jquery and html to do some database manipulation i.e. database transaction.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have been searching how to connect to a database and execute some queries, and then use the data that I get to populate some tables in a web page, all this using javascript.
I am confused because I have seen in some webpages that javascript is not designed to connect with databases, and also I have see other pages where they say that it is possible.
Does anyone know if it is possible to use javascript to connect to a database (informix), and execute some procedures or queries?

View 5 Replies View RelatedBasically, what I'm trying to do is set the left margin of an image based on the width of the image, because I want the image to appear centered relative to the link table above. I've been using this code:
function insertImageMargin(){
var marg = getImageMargin();
document.getElementById("comic").style.marginLeft = marg + "px";
} function getImageMargin(){
var com = document.getElementById("comic");
return 440 - com.width / 2;
}
What happens is, the first time com.width is 0, but if I hit reload, it is the width of the image, and the code works correctly. How do I get this to work the first time.

I'm trying to get the following code to work. It's fine if there are only 2 sets, but once you add a 3rd or 4th it breaks. making a choice of either regular non-member or student member & then changing to another choice fails to disable the last button and also fails to clear selections.note that it is not a requirement that i use radio buttons for the disabled/enabled choices; they could be checkboxes instead.

Collapse/Expand Button: The div to be expanded partially open (giving a preview in essence). After the button is pressed then the div would expand to show the entire contents (with a nice fade effect). If you chose to collapse the div then it would return to the original offset (preview) height. I've found a plethora of these scripts that fully expand or collapse, but not like this.
