I've been working on photo gallery that can be seen here: [URL] I would like the title to change according to the picture selected. This works when you click on the thumbnail images. However, it current does not work with the drop-down menu, "back" and "next" buttons, or the automatic slide-show.

My change function allows users to switch from country to country and get different text and features. It works when changing country selections. But at initial page load, it does not fire jQuery change to set the text for the default / initial country. When I change away and then back to the default/initial country, change fires and shows the proper information and features. I have tried document.ready with a change function both inside the switch selections and outside the change function. Neither work - they don't fire the hide, show and other jQuery in the switch cases at doc ready. Its not clear to me what function will fire the jQuery change function at doc ready. Here's the code. The country selection below is just 2 countries to keep it simple, but actually, there are many.

for my gallery I am using the fallowing HTML. The Images are defined as '1.jpg', '2.jpg', '3.jpg' etc.I would like to change it to 'text.jpg'. However, when I change the image names, thumbnail names and the HTML, I only have a loading screen. So there seems to be a part of the JS which needs to be changed. Any idea how to do that?

I have been trying to run two Javascripts within the same page. The first is the Drop down menu Javascript, the second is the Picture Viewer (Click an image and it opens) Here is a copy of the webpage (the active version has been modified to reduce confusion for users) [URL] I have tried a noconflict, but it didn't seem to work. As you can see, the Picture viewer works fine, but the drop down menu seems to be in conflict.

The code is working 100%, but the only problem is with the function calling statement. It is working on the first img (picture) i want it to be called on the second picture.

I am new to js.my project req is I want to create the dynamic menu in php and the menu I took it from database as it is dynamic. I am able to do that. But in the back end admin can change the order of menu. For that I need to write the script. Admin will enter the menu items. Table is menureg:menuid is the primary key. After entering the detils he can able to see all the menu items wth the edit and delete options. Now my requirement is meanwhile I need to change the order of the menu along with those options I need to use change order button to move the menu up and down. After changing the order it should display in front page.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a menu and I want when I mouseover them it change their color and style.
View 9 Replies View RelatedBasically I have a form, with two simple select menus, both identical except for different name values to post:
HTML Code:
<p>Make current?</p>
<select name="is_current">
<option value="yes">Yes</option>
<option value="no">No</option>
</select>
<br />
<p>Put in list?</p>
<select name="in_list">
<option value="yes">Yes</option>
<option value="no">No</option>
</select>
Some PHP code governs whether the "yes" or the "no" option in either menu gets the 'default' "selected="selected" showing, based on database information. For instance, in the first menu, if the page deals with a case where the the first "is_current" value is indeed current, then the PHP code will write the default "selected="selected" for "yes":
HTML Code:
<select name="is_current">
<option value=yes" selected="selected">Yes</option>
<option value=no">No</option>
</select>
If the page deals with a case where the value isn't current, the selected="selected" code will be written for the "no" value instead. The same goes for the second select menu. Now, the logic of my situation requires that, if the user selects "Yes" in the first "is_current" drop-down, then only "Yes" should be available to select in the second "in_list" menu. Anyway, I don't know javascript very well, but I found a function that seemed to be able to do this.
Code:
<script type="text/javascript">
(function () {
function updateLevel() {
var limit = Number(this.value);
// find the next select element
var selects = this.form.getElementsByTagName('select');
var select;
for (var i = 0; i < selects.length; i++) {
if (selects[i] === this && selects[i+1]) {
select = selects[i+1];
break; .....
(Apparently the script has to be put or called just before the </body> tag at the end of the page.) Then the select menus are recast as:
HTML Code:
<p>Make current?</p>
<select name="is_current" id="in_list">
<option value="1">Yes</option>
<option value="2">No</option>
</select>
<br />
<p>Put in list?</p>
<select name="in_list">
<option value="1">Yes</option>
<option value="2">No</option>
</select>
Now this appears to work, up to a point. If the user selects "Yes" for the first "is_current" selection, then only "Yes" becomes available for selection in the second "in_list" menu. A posted value of "1" represents "yes", and a value of "2" represents "no". Except, in Firefox, the javascript somehow overrules the default selected="selected" code. That is, the source code in the browser is correct, but the javascript draws it incorrectly.
For instance, say the database/PHP has drawn selected="selected" for the value "yes" in the second menu. Even though I can see that the source code is OK in the browser, the javascript will make the browser show a "No" selection as the initial default. This happens in Firefox, though not in Safari, and I haven't tested other browsers yet. This may be obvious but I'm not sure of javascript.
I am trying to change the look of the 'active' submenu item... Meaning, when you're on a certain page - the corresponding submenu item will look different (i.e. bold, different color, etc.)... URL is --> IDC's Fundamentals for Newer Directors JS code I'm using -->

$(this).addClass("submenuactive")

I have a dropdown menu and two checkboxs and when the user selects something from the dropdown menu I need it to change the text in the textbox field to 80. Then if the user checks off the first checkbox it'll add 20 to the total and if they select the next checkbox it'll add 30. When they change the textbox value it should uncheck the checkboxs and bring the value back to 80.

I am creating a website and it utilizes the Apple Touch Icon:
<link rel="apple-touch-icon" href="/customIcon.png"/>
Basically, I want to be able to change the bolded part from a drop down menu. Like, the user would select a certain item in the drop down menu and it would change the bolded part to a different link (the one corresponding to the drop down menu selection).
I run an educational website with a CSS/JavaScript based menu that is right now only single level. I am trying to convert it over to multi level. I have tried a few other multi level menus but I have done a lot of customization in terms of appearance for this current menu, so none of the new ones looked right.
Here is the site: [url]
Here is the CSS: [url]
Here is the JavaScript: [url]
I have not been able to get this output change when the drop down menu choice changes. I have looked at numerous examples but I can't find one that has this simple output change. What am I missing?
<HTML>
I have an ccordion menu, and each menu header has a little arrow img that changes when the menu slides down and up. The arrow img is a background image that is added to the detailsPanel div.This is the code so far:
Code:
$(document).ready(function() {
$("div.menu_body").hide();
$("#menuheader div.menu_head div.detailsPanel").toggle(function() {
[code]....
This works fine when I toggle one menu item at a time.But say I expand one menu item, and then click on another menu header. What happens is that the first menu item slides up and the newly clicked slides down, just like expected. But the arrow doesn't change back on the menu that slides up. This happens because it's toggle function is still in the first state, and if I click on it again, thus removing the "detailsPanelSelected" class, all that happens is that the image changes back. Looking at the code, this is expected.how do I make it so that a menu items "detailsPanelSelected" is removed when another menu header is clicked? Can I somehow reset the pending toggle function?
