Pass Multiple Values - Reset/Clear Textarea
Jun 20, 2006After passing values, I cleared the form to start over and tried passing a new value but the previous values return with the new value. I hope that makes sense. Here's the code:

Nov 12, 2009Maybe this has been tackled in another post but I couldn't find it through some searching so here goes...I'm using an Ajaxy method to update an administrative form and what I would like to do is update multiple text fields when the onchange fires from a dropdown list. Basically, I pull up a business name in the dropdown and fields for address, city, postal, phone, fax, etc... is updated.
The script that I've cobbled together is really good at updating one item via the XMLHttpRequest() responseText property and I could send a string of variables that I could break out into an array to loop into the innerHTML of each item but I was hoping there would be a more sophisticated way to do it.Is there a way to pass a responseArray instead of just a string of text?
Implement Clear Function Using Reset Button
Jul 23, 2005i need to implement a clear button to clear all the fields in the
form, but i am thinking i can just use reset button.
<input type="reset" name="reset" value="CLEAR">
The first thought is that if there is default value reset and clear
will become different. My understanding is that reset means to restore the original page
before any edits by the user.
It seems like I can use reset button to implement clear javascript button.

Pass Multiple Values With GetLocations Function
May 5, 2010I have the data of every user inside an XML file, such as address, username, email etc. I want to add markers to the map depending on the address and I want every marker to display a info window with data of the user in that location. The problem is that I get an error when I try to pass the other data with the getLocation method of the geocode. The markers are displayed in the map but the data in the info window aren't.

Apr 15, 2010In part of my form, I have 3 inputs (one textarea and two text inputs),I am validating their value format using AJAX (each input triggers error message on its label in case format is wrong). Also I have one button, "NOT submit button" (type = button).Now, when clicking on the button it must enter the value of those three inputs in my database in case they are true then all inputs values must be cleared. In case AJAX validation is wrong and in case the user clicked on that button, the value of fields must kept as it is.
Actually I can not use submit button because I have it for the whole form and what I am taking about is a part of the form and it's not possible to make nested forms as I know it violates html rules. It's easy to make it if I am taking about submitting button as I can view session values on fields after submission in case ajax returns error.I can clear inputs from Javascript, but it will be cleared on both cases if AJAX validation true or wrong. Each input field has AJAX Error message that will be triggered when the input format is wrong.
Clearing Textarea After 'reset'
Dec 7, 2009I have a table with numerous textareas that I am able to clear once - the first time the textarea is clicked the default value is cleared and everything is OK.However, at a certain point the user might press a 'Clear' button linked to a function I wrote to reset the values back to the defaults. At this point clicking into the textarea does not clear it.

May 20, 2011I have a textarea in a dialog and everytime I am resetting the textarea value before open the dialog.But on FF4 dialog value is not resetting. I checked the teaxtarea value from the Firebug and it is blank but still textarea conatins the previous value it had. If I reset the textarea from console the it works perfect.I didn't found any solution. At the end I am removing the textarea and re append it to the dialog when I am opening the dialog.

JQuery :: Clone LI And Clear Cloned LI's Input Values?
Feb 12, 2010I've been searching this forum, Google Groups, and Stack Overflow this morning but I haven't been able to quite find a simple way to clone a LI element (that contains form inputs with data,) and erase the newly created/cloned LI's form inputs.
The function I'm using at the moment looks like this:

Clear Checkbox Functions - Multiple Forms

Clear Content Of Multiple Text Boxes
Jun 22, 2007I have a couple of radio buttons that hide and reveal DIV tags. Here is what I'm trying to do:
1) radioBTN1 is clicked it reveals DIV1 with multiple text boxes in it
2) radioBTN2 is clicked it reveals DIV2 below DIV1 with multiple text boxes in it
3) the user fills in the text boxes in the DIV2
4) user changes mind and clicks radioBTN1 again to hide DIV2
5) when DIV2 is hidden it resets and clears all previous information

Jul 19, 2011I have a list of products where they have minimum quantities in a hidden input. Some products have multiple colours, though the same minimum quantity and I'm trying to implement a jQuery check that entries made are at least equal to the minimum.
Blank or '0' entries are fine but if it's below the minimum quantity it should set to the minimum.

Multiple Submit Buttons Need Multiple Hidden Values?

JQuery :: Deleting Textarea Values From A Form?
Feb 9, 2010I have a simple, three-field form that I am setting default values from within my jquery script. When a user clicks on a field the default values are removed, leaving that field blank for the user to type into.
The form accepts the default values from my jQuery script just fine. And when I click on the "to" and "from" fields, the default text is, in fact, removed. The problem is when I click on the textarea, the default value does not get removed.
