2.The other is the timer expires.the exam finishes and the user's result should be displayed.This one is giving me a problem.

When the timer expires I want to run the onsubmit() function to assign values to hidden form inputs ,but I am unable to do so.How do I do this.Everything else with the timer function is working fine. Only a snippet of the actual code is given here,because the rest of it is ,I believe,irrelevant to the discussion.

JQuery :: AJAX Call Unable To Access Localhost / Fix This?

Jun 30, 2010

I'm pulling data from a database using a RESTlet server, and using Flot to produce a graph.

My problem is that whenever I make the following AJAX call, I get an "Access to restricted URI denied" error on Firefox. On Internet Explorer I have other problems, but I can tell by my server logs that at least the AJAX call happens, which is more than I can say for Firefox. code...

The url is correct, and the server is hosted on this machine, but Firefox thinks it's trying access another domain. The html file containing this code is located on my hard drive.

How can I get Firefox to allow this AJAX call?

I have the following form working with on onsumbit function, but I would like to change it so that instead of having to click the purchase button to see total price, you only have to change the quantity text box input. I just can not seem to get it to work.

<script language="javascript" type="text/javascript">

var succesful = false;
var numQuantity;
numQuantity = parseInt(frm.Quantity.value);
var numTotalPrice;

if (numQuantity != 0) {
numTotalPrice = numQuantity * 4;
frm.TotalPrice.value = numTotalPrice; //new String(numTotalPrice);
successful = true;
} else {
alert("Sorry must order more than 0");
successful = false;
} return succesful;
}
</script>

<form action="" onsubmit="return checkQuantity(this)" style="width: 193px">
<table cellpadding="4" style="width:111%">
<tr><td class="style1">
Quantity:</td><td class="formInputCell">
<input name="Quantity" type="text" style="width: 55px" /></td>

JQuery :: Unable To Call Click Event On Adding Dynamic Html

Sep 15, 2010

i have some code as follows
$(document).ready(function() {
$('a.poplight[href^=#]').click(function() { /do something });
});
when i click on a <a> tag with class poplight this works fine. But when i add another anchor tag dynamically to my page (without a page reload, via ajax) like below...
$('#Table tr:first').before('<tr><td><a href="#?w=700&v=edit&id=23" rel="popup_name" class="poplight" >click here</a></td></tr>');
and if i click on that anchor tag that was no placed on top of my first row it does not call the click event instead i can see the variables i tried passing through that anchor tag on my url.

any clue why this is happening.... i donot get any errors as well on firebug.

Unable To Execute Function Designed To Calculate The Average Of Numbers Inputted?

Oct 4, 2010

I've been messing with this code for about a couple of hours, and I did everything down to the wire..yet still I am unable to get it to work. When I input the numbers, and click off to the side nothing appears down at the final textarea of the form which is suppose to show the average.I've tried just about everything, sadly all I have to go by is other example codes, and the very intricate instructions which states I must pass the values to the calcAvg() to the second function of performCalc(), which I did, and then I assigned the var calcResult another value. From there I did the return..and after that I'm rather loss as to what to do next to get this code to work, any tips?

Function To Call A Function In All Child Frames

further copies of the same document (and so on). In practice, we
shouldn't ever have frames within frames, but I'd like to make the
implementation a general case.

Various of the functions in the parent document need to call themselves
in the child documents with the same parameters as they've just been
passed.

Now, I can stick a loop in each function that goes throught the
window.frames array and calls the function for each frame, but for I'd
like to write a function to do this.

It's at this point that my brain explodes. If I limit it to a single
parameter we can do:
