I want to be able to display text + URL when I move to a link. When I select close window then the screen go away. No pop up window. I just want a box next to the link to be able to do this.

I don't know how to use the onmouseover event the text , then display the image.For example, I have a <p onmousever="">CHECK</p>, then when I move the mouse over the text, the image will display.

I thought this would be fairly easy. I want a line to be displayed on the bottom of each book image when the mouse pointer moves over them. I am using IE 8 and keep getting this error message: "Object Doesn't support this property and method"

You see I'm trying to change an event like I'd change a property. The first will change the text to hello. I'd like the second to change the onmouseover event to display a hello world alert... but it doesn't seem to do anything.
I have this code that displays a thumbnail strip and then when you mouse over a thumbnail a bigger images shows up over the strip. The problem is it only is working on some of them and only when the mouse is over a certain part of the picture. When I click them however the picture shows up everytime. I have a table where when the cursor passes/hovers over a cell, the current cell, as well as the top cell in its column and the first cell in its row change backgroundColor. I have text fields outside the table which I want to populate with the contents of the cells affected by the mouseover event. So as the mouse moves over different cells, the contents of the text fields changes accordingly. I've got the backgroundColor to change, but when I try to assign the contents of the cells to the text fields, nothing happens. The change of backgroundColor even stops working. I'm traversing through the <th> and <td> tags to find the header cell HeaderCell[n] and first column cell Col1Cell[0] associated with the current cell. If I leave out these lines the backgroundColor changes, if I use them, nothing happens at all.
I have a large image of all my products. I image mapped the images to their locations. I would like to have something where, if they put their mouse of the proper coordinate it changes the text beside the image (description text).
I don't require a sample, just the sraight code that ACUALLY works.

Im pretty new to JQuery, but got some things working, but now I came across somthing I cant get to work, even after Googling for some time. In an XSL file I have set an onmouseover event to a function which sets different things on a div, and then displays it accordingly to where the element with the onmouseover is located. I am using JQuery function show("fast") to get a nice animation on the div when its shown. On the onmouseout I hide the div with plain style access with Javascript style.display =none' This is all used for thumbnail showing on a list of elements, but when I stress the system by fast moving over the elements and then suddenly moving the mousecursor away from the list, it possible to get the div to stay shown. I dont really understand why, cause since onmouseout is set display=none to my best knowledge the div should allways be hidden. Is there some kind of delay before show sets the display different from blank, or could someone point me to what im doing wrong.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a javascript/html/css issue that I'm trying to solve for about 3 days now, with no luck. I'm using javascript to toggle the visibility of a certain table. I set the table's display property to none (via js) in order to hide it and to block in order to show it. However, applying block in the display property of a table seems to be having trouble with firefox.
See below what display:block does to a table in firefox: This simple html code:

produces this result in firefox:
Notice how the td has the size of the content and does not stretch to the size of the table (although it has a width="100%")? In IE it works fine btw.
If I change my js code to apply "table" to the display property of the table in order to show it, it doesn't show up at all in IE!
Assuming that a checkbox is initially unchecked, the following code works because the additional text is hidden, and when the checkbox is checked, the function if performed to show() it. However, what needs to be done if the checkbox may or may not be checked initially?

I have a form that is used to generate and Email (this is done with PHP), in this form i have two buttons one is to send the email and one is to preview the email. Currently I have my script set up so when the send button is pressed the form action will be set to go to the send_email.php page, and when the preview button is clicked it will go to the preview.php page. When a user clicks on either button it opens in the same window, What i want is when the preview button is clicked a popup will come up with a a preview of the email.
This is how it is currently working.

So basically I just need the preview to open in a popup window when the form is submitted using the preview button. I don't have any code for this because I don't really know where to start, A
UPDATE: I got the preview to come up in a popup but I can not get the data from the form submission into that popup window.
I have a project to do for a kind of business directory and while I already have it designed I'm stuck on one aspect of it. As it stands, you select a category and then get the results in a nice little invisible table with colored rows. Now, I can create any table I want through the use of a hidden Javascript function that contains the information (No, I'm not worried about updates) and then creates the table.
The problem I have is this. If someone changes the category or puts in a partial name or full name, how can I delete the currently displayed results and then show only the results for the new search? And how can I do this consistently? The problem I have almost sounds like a problem that should be solved using PHP but it doesn't sound so complicated that it couldn't be done in javascript either.
