<p id="textoMarca0" onmouseover="muestraDialog('textoMarca0');">
this is an example paragraph

So now the onmouseover has again its value [the original one, copied by doing an alert($("#"+elem+i).attr('onmouseover')) when i disable the onmouseover event], but it doesn't work

Using this banner script, how do I get the mouseover to display as an ALT, instead of in the status bar?
And the ('<a href="'+ ads[adNumber].href +'"
') needs to open the link in a new window.
example of the href url:
ads[i].href = "[URL]"
function getCode(adNumber){
var tempCode = ""
tempCode += ('<a href="'+ ads[adNumber].href +'" ')
tempCode += ('onMouseOver="status=''+ ads[adNumber].mouseover +'';return true" ')
tempCode += ('onMouseOut="status=''"> ')
tempCode += ('<img src="' + ads[adNumber].src + '" width=' + ads[adNumber].width)
tempCode += (' onLoad="setTimeout('newAd();',' + refreshTime + ');"')
tempCode += ('
height=' + ads[adNumber].height + ' border=0 >')
tempCode += ('</a>')
return tempCode;

This page: [URL] seems to indicate that it's possible, but it looks like it also pops up an alert window which would be annoying as hell. Is there a way to, say, once every minute change the title bar text?
You see I have a text file of rotating slogans that appear each time you reload a page on my site and someone suggested that having them change even when the page is already open might be fun. I thought I'd look into it and see if it's possible. The site is [URL]
I don't know enough about javascript to know if this is possible. I am fairly good at implementing and installing other people's code, though, and can usually make minor changes to tweak things.

At my day job, we use a cms that generates really terrible <title></title> tags that are killing our SE rankings.
Instead of taking the title of the piece of content and putting it in the title tags, it uses the name of the page template.
I first attempted this with jquery, but i'm looking for something that will basically just take <title>template name</title> and replace it with something friendlier.
i tried something as basic as:
Code:
<title>Homepage Template</title>
<meta content="Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 7.1" name="GENERATOR">
<meta content="Visual Basic .NET 7.1" name="CODE_LANGUAGE">
<meta content="JavaScript" name="vs_defaultClientScript">

I'm creating a pop-up (it's a timer for hotel guest broadband access) with
all attributes turned off. But becasue I have location set to 0 the damn url
keeps appearing in the title bar. This causes a major problem as the pop-up
displays a countdown in the titlebar that the user should be able to see
even when minimised and at present cannot because the url takes up all the
room. Code:

I have an some options like this:
<option value="12345" title="Frank">Frank - 12345</option>
What I want to do, is get the title. I've tried this:
document.MyForm.MySelect.options[document.MyForm.MySelect.selectedIndex].title
That dosn't work. I'm just using the title attribute as a place to hold the information I need. Maybe there is another attribute that would work better for this? How can I get the contents of the attribute?

I have a table with two columns and two rows in it. In the upper left corner, I
have a logo image for my company. In the top right column/cell, I have some
navigational stuff, no big deal. In the left cell in the 2nd row, I have a list
of anchors of different songs I am producing - something like this:
<A HREF="jamison.mp3">Jamison</A>
<A HREF="tlw.mp3">The Long Winter</A>
<A HREF="summer.mp3">It's Summertime</A>
....
....
The cell on the right, 2nd row is empty at the start.
On the 2nd row, 1st cell, where the anchors are, on a "mouse over" event, I'd
like to display song lyrics and information regarding the song in the right
cell, 2nd row as the user moves the mouse over a given anchor.
What is the best way for me to do this? There are a couple of things/issues I
can think of right away:
1) Let's say there are 20 anchors in the left column. Let's say that some of
the songs' lyrics are quite lengthy and extend past the height of the cell at
row 2, left column. How would the system know this in advance (this will make
more sense with question #2 below)? Perhaps tell it some type of maximum height
you know will never be reached or something?
2) To me it doesn't make a lot of sense to include all this text in the main
HTML file since a majority of the time, the user(s) will never move their mouse
across ALL the anchors, only one or two. Seems to me there should be some way
of "loading" them as soon as the mouse over event occurs.

I am trying to capture the onmouseout event on an option. I know there
is no mouseover/out event(in IE 6), therefore I ask, does anyone have
a work around?
Essentially what I need is a tooltip that displays the entire contents
of a dropdown/select if the contents of the option are getting
truncated due to the width of the dropdown/select. And I want to do
this while the dropdown/select is expanded.
Can some recommend an open source 3rd party control if there is no
solution when using the standard select?

Heyho. Well I'm rather new to JavaScripting, so don't be harsh on me :).
Well I'm trying to make a 'onMouseOver & onMouseOut' event, where you hold the cursor over a image, it will change to another.
So, here is my code:
It works fine when I use it for 1 picture, but it really mess up when I use it more then 1 time.
