I want to create a div with flash that will display on the center position of the screen, after playing the flash it will move to a fixed location of the page. How can i do the moving div with slow motion movement. I have tried many times but failed.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI need to move a Div but I need to see it move rather than just change the location.
I also need it to go both right and left a set distance.
I have an iframe somewhere on my page. Now on click of a link, I would like to show it in a different location on the same page, BUT I don't want it to reload again. I've tried this simple method but it doesn't do it because the iframe reloads in its new location.
<script type="text/javascript">
function move(what, where)
{
document.getElementsByID(where).innerHTML = document.getElementsByID(what).innerHTML;
}
</script>

I have the code below ***within <head> section. It's for making fancy
buttons, and it works great. What I was wondering was this.
I also have in <head> the following line: <SCRIPT TYPE="text/javascript"
src=/js/javas.js></SCRIPT> which essentially has a bunch of unrelated
javascript functions.
What I would like to do is move the code below into my javas.js file, but am
unsure what is the proper format since it doesn't seem to me a function by
name. Code:
Is it possible to call a function when user clicks on an (x,y) point (or a small area). I can't place a new object and just set the "onclick" value, so is it possible to do it without that?

I'm trying to modify something that someone wrote and trying to keep it standardized... meaning they way the did it. Here is an example of what they did. code...
What I'd like to do is display a png image file in a similar fashion if possible... I'm not sure if it can be done use getElementById.
Actually, I'd like to do <div> instead of a table so that I can layer images. I've converted the table above to using <div>, but again, I can't figure out how to do this with an image file.
The main reason for doing this is because I'd like to use the setTimeout feature.
My CMS won't let me customize their HTML structure they didn't give me access to their templating system. But they'd let me access their Head section were I could add custom Javascript and CSS. Example this would be their template structure:
<body>
<div id="wrapper">
<div id="maincontent"> Maincontent </div>
<div id="left"> Left Contents </div>
[Code].....
The reason why the injections was structured like that is, I want the regular divs to be rounded. the Inject1, Inject2, Inject3 would be style in my external CSS. I think it would also be great if it was like a class that i can just be apply it to specific ids or class.
In searching answers to my quest, I have been looking for a method using
document.write to display the thumbnails in one division while showing text
about the thumbs in another division.
All I've seen so far is that document.write('does this') and that's it.
Nobody expands on this and explains what else you can do with it.
It's like they're more interested in showing you the ads than the
information you need.
Is it possible to emulate a mouse click event at a specific location
in the browser using JavaScript? If yes, can you please tell me where can I find some example?
Below is my script. This will let me click and drag an item on my site. I need the image to not only do this, but also snap to a specific location. There will be approx. 30 items that will be snapping to the same location.
<head><style type="text/css">
.drag{
position:relative;
cursor:hand;
z-index: 100;
}
</style><script type="text/javascript"> .....
dragobject.initialize()
</script>
</head>
<body>
<img src="test.gif"><br>
<img src="test2.gif"><br>
<b>"Hi there</b>
</body>
If my understanding is correct
Code JavaScript:
$("#foo").appendTo("#bar");
will adjust
Code HTML4Strict:
<div>
<p id="foo">My Foo!!!</p>
</div>
<div id="bar">
</div>
[Code]...
I have a client that has ads on her website that really slow down the site. These ads are called by an off site javascript file and I want to use a jQuery(document).ready or similar method to call these files after all of the site content has loaded. But these files contain document.write functions to add more javascript files. Since I want to load the files after everything else has loaded, this in turn makes the page blank and then loads the ad. Is there a way to position where document.write will write to?

The idea is move the foot to room no.1 .. but i want to see the foot moving on the red line to the room
like this pic : [url]

What is happening is $(this) is no longer based on .expand being the (this) that is clicked.
like if i have a button SOMEWHERE randomly on the page with this
<div onclick="Minimize('_alerts');">Click Here</div> this will minimize alerts but because the (this) in minimize function doesn't actually point to the right button that I want to add a class to.
Is there a way to modify the minimize function so that it finds the <div id="mytoggle"><ul> <li class="expand boxminimize" rel="_alerts"> using the rel toggle, and then changes the class of the li from expand boxminimize to boxexpanded??
just like the .expand click function I posted on the top of the post that works?
Another thing that has been driving me crazy is that css positioning is handled differently by different browsers. JS is not my area, but I can do a lot with CSS, and I do, but cross browser compatibility is killing me.
I can use an IF IE statement and only IE runs that segment of code, but I haven't been able to figure out out how to make ONLY firefox or ONLY opera or safari enact an encapsulated segment of code. The same type of IF statement doesn't work for them.
Is there a single method using JS that works for all browsers?
I know this code works just fine:
function result(){
var result = document.getElementById('resss').innerHTML;
}
But what I actually want is to import data from a table of an external website. E.g. I want to get the innerHTML of a specific cell in column 3 and row 2 of a specific site.
Danged if I can find the thread, but I swear I saw a $.url() reference in here a day or two ago. It was beingutilized for parsing out the window.location or window.location.search parameters. I made a mental note because that was something I would be needing to do.
Now I can't find it, either because the search isn't finding it or I was dreaming about this function existing.
I rummaged about the API docs and didn't find it there either. Is it something provided by one of the plugins and not a function native to jQuery?
If any body know any code to keep the same url in the location var when i use difernets links.

I have a website made of 4 div's that are set with have these settings:
Code:
#all { color: white; font-size: 10px; background-color: #282828; position: relative; width: 532px; min-height: 740px; margin: 7px auto 30px; padding: 348px 297px 10px 174px; }
#left { position: absolute; top: 348px; left: 0; }

I am getting to learn JavaScript, and as for my first personal project, I would like to have a page with some text on it and when the user scrolls, a div containing a picture will move with the user when they scroll. I have found a solution, however, I do not like it.
<html>
<head runat="server">
<title>Test</title>
[code]...
As you can see, it works by getting the scroll position and adding 250, to a height property-element above the image div. I have tried to use document.getElementById("image").style.top = scrollevel + 'px', but it does not work.
How do I go about moving a general DIV with Javascript?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have looked around and cannot find what I need. I am looking to put a box in my left nav bar that shows 10 links at a time. I would like it to slowly scroll upward continuously in a loop. I have about 50 to 75 links I would like to put there.
Doe anyone know where I can find such a script?
I'm totally new to JavaScript, and haven't been able to find the
answer to that on the web:
I have an image and want to use an imagemap in a way that when the
cursor touches a certain point there's some text (possibly
moving/scrolling) displayed on/over the image.
In concrtene: I have a face, and when touching the eye with the cursor
I want to print "seeing" in the screen.
I need to move the entire contents of one div to a sibling div. At present I'm just doing (assuming the 2 divs are called 1st and 2nd):
What I need to know is if this is the quickest means (in performance terms) of doing this as I will be performing the operation regularly and on a large number of nodes and it's in an area where the UX really can't stutter ?
